JUST PICK THIS COMPANY!! Your search is OVER. moved this weekend(hate moving BTW) Tim and his crew of two were AMAZING for more than 5.5 hours. Upbeat, pleasant, efficient and (obviously important) extraordinarily careful with all of our things. NOTHING BROKEN. NOTHING SCRATCHED. Would use them again in one second and have been recommending them already. Christian guys without trying to "save me" honestly gives me an extra little warm fuzzy feeling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Tim and a crew moved my belongings and two vehicles from KC to TX. Tim damaged one of my vehicles while unloading it off the U-Haul hitch. He identified the damage and said "I popped it (the bumper) back in. After texting multiple times over several weeks about how to file a claim and if he reached out to U-Haul he finally tells me they denied the claim. I got three bids and presented to Tim. I also authorized my employer to pay him the balance of the move trusting that as a Christian man he would do the right thing and pay for the repairs. Even after damaging my car, I gave them a few hundred dollars to treat themselves to a steak dinner. This is what I get for being nice!! Tim has given every excuse imaginable to delay paying for the damage to my vehicle. Likely because he doesn't want to pay or can't pay, regardless neither of these circumstances are my problem. He said that he would check with mechanics in KC!! I live in TX which is where the damages occured and where I will have a warranty on the repairs. I cannot help that repairs on my vehicle cost more in TX than they may cost in KC...again not my problem. I am taking legal action against this company and warning everyone about this company. If I were a man I'm sure he would treat this situation differently and frankly I probably would too. Anyways, he is full of crap DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Inexperienced, late, slow, careless, clueless, and clearly not professional. Dealing with these movers was a nightmare. We have multiple pieces of valuable furniture that are damaged. The whole process was a headache and added unnecessary stress to our move. Open Door Movers should be shut down immediately to prevent any other victims of this obvious scam of a business. read more

Have had the opportunity to use Tim and Open Door twice. The first time they moved 15 pianos from the third floor of one building to the second floor of another building. The second time was 3 pianos, and organ, a pool table. They accomplished both jobs on time and under budget. I found Tim and his crew to be very professional, focused, and easy to work with. Tim and his team were amazing to work with and made our move extremely easy. They estimated our furniture and weight almost exactly to the pound, wrapped everything securely (including lots of glass and a motorcycle), got across the country in record time (from Missouri to North Carolina) and had everything moved into our new place before we arrived. Their costs were reasonable, they were professional, and this was the absolute best moving experience I've had. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing to move. read more

Horrible service. They were supposed to help with a 2 day move. Day 1 of the move they tried to cancel because they double booked. They showed up 5 hours late the first day. 3 hours late the second day. Both days they rejected our calls. They put holes in the walls at both the house we moved from and the house we just built. They caused significant damage to our washer, dryer, bedroom sets, art work, pretty much everything. After paying extra for assembly of furniture at the new house they left 3 bedroom sets unassembled and lost the hardware to put them together. We watched the workers literally throw our belongings down a flight of stairs. Definitely not worth the almost 4000 we had to pay them. They are worthless. Don't let anyone you care about use this company! Ever! read more

I had a terrible experience. The movers were 3.5 hours late to the original agreed upon time. When they showed up they did not have the proper number of people that were agreed upon. They also just called some buddies to come help so they would have the right number. These were not professional movers. Many of the items were placed in the wrong room. Two of the guys were fairly lazy making the other two have to work even harder. Would never use them again. read more
