Pleasantly surprised is what my reaction was when we arrived that late afternoon. We needed a place…read moreto stay for the Lubao Hot Air Balloon Festival and not being familiar with the area, we didn't know where the good places are. Well guys, this is it! When you step inside, it's like you're being transported back into another time. The place has been around for ages and I think the story's that it was a farm even before and they used to sell LPG tanks and if you go there you'd see that they made a gate out of those LPG tanks. If you take the time to go around, and you should because it's really beautiful, you'll see that they have an infinity pool, a replica of the Ifugao houses, a mini fish pond, a chapel and out back they have the farm itself where you can ask any of the people there to give you a tour or you can go have one by yourself. You'd find that they have wild boars and other farm animals living there. Don't let the rustic feel of the place fool you though, they have a building there that's fully renovated where you can sleep comfortably. The rates are also well within your budget I'm sure and if you're travelling in a group they have rooms for that too. You have two dining options there at Prado Farms: they have the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner buffet OR you can go local and dine at the Carinderia outside. Try to visit them when you're in Lubao Pampanga! If you're looking for a place to stay for the next International Lubao Balloon Festival or if you're there to enjoy the Wake Park, look no further. Did I mention that Prado Farms is walking distance from Pradera Verde, that's where both the balloon festival and the wake park is. You really just have to cross the street and walk to the entrance! Let me know how your stay was!

Looking for a good getaway but you don't necessarily have enough days off to travel far?…read moreConveniently accessible via car (roughly 2 hours away from Manila), the Green Canyon resort in Pampanga is a resort that'll help you make the most of your limited leaves by cramming everything in a single day trip! From a refreshing dip in their pools, a mountain trek, a visit in their art museum and even a stroll in their organic farm; these are all possible within a single day via the magic of Green Canyon. Hey, if you'd like to stay a bit and not rush things, that's just as possible too. Green Canyon provides homey rooms as well, all to help you commit to some well deserved R & R.

I have had to call the front desk for more issues and "special requests" (which at any other resort, would be considered normal) more times in the last 24 hours than anyone should need). 1. Key cards don't work- they didn't have the password to activate it so the gave me a master key card- yes-I had access to all rooms. Security is clearly not a concern. 2. Prior to us checking in, they didn't a quality check of the room. So at 5am when 3 of us we're trying to shower and get out to our excursion, the top bathroom had no water for shower or a flushing toilet. The first floor had no hot water- and to make things even more annoying was they thought we just didn't know how to turn on the faucet. 3. The safe does not work- in fact none of the safes work. - again, security is not a big concern. Neither is resolving issues. 4. Apparently house keeping doesn't have a checklist and if they do, checking the amount of toilet paper isn't on the list. So with 3 women in a 2 bedroom loft, with the TP clearly running out, one still has to call to get it replaced. (Does this sound like a 4or 5 star resort to you yet?). Same situation with bottled water. One has to ask for it. 5. They don't have wash cloths (face towels) or loofahs at this "resort". Never in my life and extensive travels, has any hotel not provided a wash cloth. This might sound petty but when you are in a county where it is hot and dusty, it's important. Who packs their own towels when you are going to a hotel??? Even after several calls to the front desk and 2 requests for a manager, no one has even contacted us or acknowledged the issues. It's only my second day into being here and I'm not thrilled but after many flights and hotel check-ins- packing up and finding another resort for a few days is not an option I really want to consider. So we're stuck over paying for 1 star services in a 2 star hotel.

You would not think this didn't go anywhere! We actually tried booking through Airbnb but they only limit it to sixteen people; or I think Airbnb's requirement. The representative told us to communicate through Facebook instead as we needed a big group reservations for 30 as their description on Airbnb stated they can accommodate up to 30 people! Easy reservations with them via phone and the best place to go so far since visiting the main island! The resort has their own farm of fruits and veggies so everything is fresh and depends on the season; they can only make certain meals during the season. Food is pretty decent. We reserved the villa for our stay called - 'Sta. Teresita Villa' where it has its own private infinity pool. The villa has its own kitchen, two and half bathrooms and two bedrooms. It has great views! It was so awesome! We all didn't want to leave!! We also rented additional rooms that had outdoor jacuzzi's. You can order set meals for 5 or 10 or ala carte. Just to let you know, if you are used to American portions, you may have to order more than average. They have fresh buko drinks, too. They plan to add a zip lines in the resort. I can't wait! Tips to remember: - Weather is still very warm here so don't over dress. OK, I mean HOT and humid! - Bring bug spray especially during rainy season. Bugs are huge here!! Bring slippers! - pools have overhead covers so even if rained on, you can still swim. Bring waterproof camera bags. - No wifi except in the lobby. Free wifi. 3G goes on and off within the resort so good luck! No use coming here if you are working! - It's easy to use Waze to get here but leaving, make sure to start the Waze while using the wifi in the lobby or it won't turn on till a few km's out! Remember how you got there. - They do accept credit cards. - Bring snacks or drinks as their snack bar is limited. - Make sure to explore the resort, their crops and their pet snakes! - They do have a few blackouts. - Wake up before sunset to check out the lake and mountain views! Bring your good cameras! Also, love the weather in the morning! For my 650th review, I am dedicating it to Noni's Resort! Staff were very accommodating and super friendly for our big group! Prices were pretty good for our staff and what was offered. I will definitely recommend anyone to check them out and stay for a quick weekend getaway! You won't regret it! [69/100]

Crystal Beach is in the town of San Narciso in the Province of Zambales. The resort features air-conditioned rooms, cottages, and beachside camping tents. They also have WiFi in the main area. There are a few bon fire pits and grilling stations for anyone to use. We opted for a day entrance just to experience the food, beach huts, and the sand. The admission fee, parking, and cost of food were very reasonable. The long journey from Manila definitely made us hungry. We decided to try out their restaurant located in the main common area. Seating was easy and we also chose the table closest to the fan for comfort. We ordered sisig, tuna salpicao, halo-halo, rice, and sinigang na hipon. The sisig has a nice mix of crunch with a citrus-pepper marinade. The tuna salpicao was tender and flavorful. The shrimp sinigang, which is a true Filipino favorite, was sour and savory. Halo-halo came last as a dessert. The bowl was filled with various sweet toppings and a generous scoop of ube ice cream. Post lunch coma started to kick-in and we decided to relax in one of the many beachside huts. Beach chairs were available along with the perfect view of the mountains and blue waters. The beach was almost empty and quiet. There are available surfboard rentals and surfing lessons for anyone seeking to ride the small waves. Showers are available near the common area. I would recommend this resort to anyone seeking a tranquil escape.

I felt like a princess having all my whims and wishes taken care of with a smile and a positive attitude. When you arrive at the subdivision gate, the guard will greet you: tell them you are here to check in (masks are still mandatory). From the gate, you'll follow the one way arrows painted on the road, stay to your left and you'll see the hotel on your left. The porters will gladly handle all your luggage even though they're short and slight of build: we had three big balikbayan boxes, one person even carried it on his shoulders! Please be generous with the tips because they do work extra hard, and are so very polite: doors held open and greetings of "Morning/afternoon ma'am/sir may I help you?" everywhere you go. I tend to ask A LOT of questions; but the staff gladly answered them all. Their rooms are large, roomy and clean, with a sitting room, and a king size bed with a firm mattress. My husband enjoyed their hot shower, because we don't have hot running water where we live. Ah, the simple pleasures in life! They have 110 and 220 outlets, a fridge, small mini-bar and free WiFi. It's good to know that they have generators on standby for the occasional brown out (blackout). COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST AT MARANAO GRILL (between the reception desk and pool) - longganisa tiny but yummy. They're sweet so make sure to dip it in their vinegar then eat with the eggs and garlic rice. - refillable brewed coffee is good - orange juice - tastes more like orange drink. - bread is made in house and served with real butter from New Zealand (you need to ask for the jam). - fresh fruit I was always the first to arrive at 6am, so I had my own personal waiter for 30 whole minutes. Eating by myself in peace and quiet, listening to the relaxing background music was a little piece of heaven for this super busy gal *cleansing breath in...........and out* They have a small gym next to the linen station (towels available here for the pool and the gym). You can also talk a nice, leisurely walk around the quiet subdivision that surrounds the hotel grounds; there's lots of kitties to play with. Please read this as 4.5. I took off half a star for the little details: closet door & front door that sticks open, landscaping that needs just a little bit more care (you might not notice if you don't garden), no outdoor patio umbrellas near the pool, water hoses lying around for days, no microwave, etc. I rounded up for the top quality care we received from the hard-working and lovely staff.

0 Star -- A Complete Waste of Time…read more We drove all the way from Makati to Tagaytay for an ocular, only to be completely ignored. First, the security guard asked us 10 different questions and it felt like an interrogation. We felt so unwelcome. Already, it was a terrible experience! Since we first spoke on October 5 and upon arrival, not a single person from your sales team reached out or followed up -- despite confirming the appointment for October 17 and assuring me that it was "noted." We waited for 20 minutes in your office, were eventually led to the "blue room" to meet the salespeople, and still waited endlessly. No one seemed to know what was going on. The entire experience was disorganized, unprofessional, and a total embarrassment for what's supposed to be a reputable resort. What makes this worse is that I had been messaging since October 5, trying to coordinate. Had your team shown even a fraction of professionalism, you could've had a full week's stay from guests who have shared stages with Tony Robbins and Oprah Winfrey, using your amenities daily and generating great exposure for your brand. Instead, you've shown a complete lack of awareness, urgency, and business sense. Opportunities like this don't knock twice -- and you've managed to slam the door shut on yours. Truly disappointing.
