I hung up, called the main line for Advocate and was told my physical was past due so I booked one for June. Thirty minutes later I got a call admonishing me for hanging up on the first caller and for not having booked an appointment before the end of the year, which they did not have available. Forward to February and I've now gotten an email, not even the courtesy of a call to say that my June appointment is cancelled because my doctor is not available. This group is beyond rude and clearly one side doesn't know what the other is doing. Guess I better start booking physicals now for 2028 and beyond. Thanks for not keeping the care in healthcare

This is mostly about the facility and intake area as my appointment was rejected…read more Be careful when scheduling an appointment via central scheduling, they will search all offices if you need an emergency room follow up book an appointment and not check with the office if they will make exception to the office policy. Office policy is that if a patient wants to see the physician they must establish that office as their primary care. I live pretty far from Elgin a good half hour drive. These tools scheduled me Friday at 2:00 they could have called me before the office closed and rejected the appointment seeing that I have a secondary booking in Buffalo Grove where I intend to establish my primary care. Instead I had to come all the way to Elgin for an office clerk to be slightly rude initially but at least complied with my request for a non chargeable cancellation as it was scheduler fault not mine. I can't speak for the quality of care but the building where the office is shows quite a bit of age. The bathroom on main level is falling apart albeit clean. Wallpaper is peeling off and sink structures are loose and rattle. This speaks more for how Ascension St Joseph's is taking care of its buildings (not very well) it's no surprise that prime real estate ground level offices lay empty, probably because no medical provider in their right mind would lease in such an expensive building that's so poorly kept and looks run down inside and out. Office staff were polite after learning it wasn't my fault so I'll give them that but you'd think if scheduling scheduled it the office provider should provide care. The office was very busy and honestly I'm glad I was able to leave quick because there were tons of people without masks even though it's cold flu & COVID season. Despite other areas of the building like the outpatient hyperbaric medicine office and occupational health requiring masks the AMG office isn't requiring them which I think is a foolish move at best. Overall MEH. The building speaks a lot for the office. I wonder how cringe the interior of the office is if the main lobby is aged cluttered and beat up. Honestly glad I didn't have to find out. Oh, I gave it a shot, but was sent down a rabbit hole quickly. I visited because my husband had been seeing Dr. Sanchez for a while, and I needed to see a dr. for my shoulder. I was scheduled to see Lady Bowennsheim, an Advance Nurse Practitioner--not sure about that title, but I figured she was a PA. Problem #1, she could barely speak English. eeek. She ordered an x-ray for my arm, and since I hadn't had blood work done in a while, they administered blood tests. Additionally, I wanted to talk about weight loss drugs, specifically, Wegovy. Lady immediately suggested I see a psychiatrist. HUH? She recommended a drug several times, and I kept asking about Wegovy. She finally admitted she did not know what Wegovy was. HUH? Once I got back to planet Earth, I looked up the drug she referred to, and found that it causes suicidal thoughts, and was NOT used for weight loss. Furthermore, she never called for a follow up call, and I didn't receive the blood test results. After much pestering on my behalf, I received those. I then followed up with Dr. Sanchez, who was aware of the misrecommendation, and he lazily glossed over it. A month or so later, I went for the mammogram that was ordered, and found questionable cells. That test was followed up by more diagnostics, and finally a biopsy. Not once did Dr. Sanchez follow up with me. HUH? I put a quick end to that relationship. This odyssey doesn't end with me. My husband had been seeing Dr. Sanchez for a couple of years. He was diagnosed with high blood pressure, and issued meds for the condition. All along, my husband complained about Dr. Sanchez, "He talks about me in Spanish to his nurse"; He's never shown me or talked in detail with me about blood test results"; I've complained to him that I don't feel balance in terms of blood pressure--something's wrong", to name a few. My husband now sees my new dr., who quickly realized my husband was on the wrong high blood pressure medicine. It was only good for 12 hours--something Dr. Sanchez failed to mention, and indicate on the scrip. I guess that explains why his blood pressure was 177 over 90. HUH? Let me sum this all up: this guy is a quack, completely unconcerned about his patients, clueless about prescriptions, hires immigrants who are not informed and barely know how to speak our native language. And, get this: he doesn't accept insurance. HUH?

I had pre-op tests done 10 days ago…read more, he requested office visit notes from the surgeon in Minneapolis which were supplied 5 days ago. the surgeon is waiting for the test results as well as another form I provided a week ago & dr Sanchez has yet to fax everything to the surgeon. surgery is next Monday & I can't get any satisfaction from his office. I suppose I will have to cancel the surgery.

I highly recommend this doctor and his colleagues. Elgin is a lucky city to have Dr. Elio Vento and Associates.

Last year when this happened i asked why I was billed, was told because i asked the doctor a question so, this year i asked no questions....still got billed for an office visit. the explanation was that i have additional diagnosis,isn't this something as the patient I should have been notified of? Seems a little deceitful. Won't be going back! I will be contacting Blue cross Blue shield to see if this is a common pracitice..... if I had been told there additional charges for additional items. i would have been fine paying the bill. seems by not notifying patients of this pratice they are just trying to pad the bill!!!

My parents had me to go with them to meet Dr Flynn when I was visiting them (I live on the west coast)! All of my parent's children had met and knew Dr Flynn. He is like the doctor from Mayberry--a bygone era. He practices medicine, not insurance administration or cost management. He never hesitated to provide them a prescription or order a test the insurance company might not agree. He was generous with his time and kind words until the day they each passed.

I explained to them i was on vacation and didn't have an appointment because i thought open door was a walk-in facility. They said it was fine and i would be seen right away. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding of my situation.
