I scheduled a Transfer Case Service and they said the "Brake Fluid had "a High Level of Moisture" and needed to be flushed - which was very interesting because I had the car inspected by a Mercedes Dealer and an Independent Service Center in September 2025 AND THE BRAKE FLUID CHECKED OUT FINE. I relented to the cost of $300+ & post service immediately noticed the brakes were ineffective - as in the brake pedal felt 4-5" lower to the floor. I contacted this company and wasted my time bringing the car back today. They drove the car and said it was "Perfect." I explained my dissatisfaction in the most educated fashion, and they refused to do anything about the problem. I drive the car every day and know how the brakes function, and now forced to take the car elsewhere for additional cost to resolve the problem they created and obviously EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND CRUCIAL TO ME NOT HAVING AN ACCIDENT. This shop is the best when it comes to Mercedes! They're on top of their game and absolute experts. I have a 1987 420SEL. They've done quite a bit of work on it, and have always been honest, forthright, and professional. Even with a long laundry list of items to do on my car, they finish the job quickly and correctly. I once dropped off my car a couple days before my appointment late in the afternoon. The same evening I got a phone call with an estimate, and they were working on it the next day. Wow! I also had a strange problem with my climate control unit mid-winter; it only acted up at temperatures below freezing. They couldn't replicate the issue because it didn't get that cold while they had it - but they work on those classics often enough that they had a spare test unit. They just installed it and told me keep it if it solves the issue, and come back if it didn't. Well, it fixed it! To just have a part for such an old car on hand pretty much tells you everything. If you have a Mercedes, go to these people. They'll treat you right. read more

Mark, the owner of this little shop is the best Mercedes mechanic in Denver. I took an old '82 300 Diesel in (a challenging car to work on) needing plenty of work. He itemized everything that needed to be done, organized it according to priority and priced it out. My car is running smoother than I've ever owned it (2 years). The service was extremely fast and all of his staff is great! They're super friendly and very willing to help. Mark is extremely professional and he won't rip you off; as he's a Mercedes specialist, don't expect your repairs to be cheap, but at least you can rest assured your Mercedes is with the best Mercedes mechanic in Denver. German Motors is a shady business. They will "diagnose" certain things to get more money from you, yet most of these are just scams. They already scammed a previous person who complained of them on yelp regarding suspension parts he did NOT need. They did the same to me, and tried to cheat me on a good battery as well. I went to other mechanics, battery tested fine and my suspension parts didn't need replacing for at least 30k miles to 50k miles. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

German Motors is absolutely the BOMB. I've been using Mark and his team at German Motors since 1992. The service is superb, the work is impeccable, and everyone is always friendly and helpful. So I show up today with my 2001 ML320, and a detailed explanation of my exact problem. "It's running like crap and the check engine light is on." A few hours later I get it back and it's smooth as silk! Mark kept my last ML320 running well through 240,000 miles, and it's still running. I drive from Boulder to Lakewood to use them because I can trust Mark totally. He'll always give me a detailed list of issues, cost for each, which need to be addressed right now, and which can be handled later. Had a problem on a road trip a couple of years ago, and went to a supposed MB expert who was having problems figuring out my trouble. I called Mark, got the 'expert' on the phone with him, and he walks the guy through the issue and how to fix it. Sweet! Even hundreds of miles away he's keeping me going and saving me $$$$. If you're a MB owner, you *really* need to give these folks a try. You simply won't find better, but you can sure spend more trying. read more

If you take your car here for service I highly recommend you get a second opinion before handing them the keys. They're high priced and in my opinion unethical. I had my S430 serviced here several times and I just accepted that MB's are expensive to maintain. In 2014 I took the car in because the right rear was sagging. Their diagnosis; replace the air strut for $1000. The next day the problem reappeared. Sorry, it was your strut control air valve that was faulty. Misdiagnosis cost me another $735. Did they cut me any slack on the price? NO! Did they apologize for the misdiagnosis? NO! But they did take my credit card. Last week I took the car in for a small vibration and their diagnosis was to replace the upper and lower control arms and ball joints on both sides for a whopping $3800! This time I decided to get another opinion and another MB service diagnosis was that the upper right control arm and ball joint needed to be replaced for $660. They did recommend that the lower RH control arm be replaced in the near future ($995). They also gave me a 10% discount on the upper control arm. $1600 vs $3800. You do the math - but my opinion is to get a second opinion. read more

I brought an old 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300sd over to them to have them check it out before purchase. One of their engineers, Mark, did a quick test drive with me and identified an issue with the engine not providing the power it should and causing hard shifting. He looked under the hood and identified the issue in less than a minute. He fixed it up with a quick patch and restored the power the engine was lacking. It was rather minor so they didn't even charge me. I was quite impressed with the level of service, friendly attitude, and willingness to go above and beyond. Took a 1985 300SD to these guys for a presale inspection. Mark (I think) was awesome. Gave me a rundown of what needed to be done. Sounded like he really knew what he was doing, and more importantly communicated what absolutely needed and stuff that could be done later. We were visiting from Texas in our newly purchased CLK 500 and noticed an oil burning smell. Took the car to Mark and he cleaned undercarriage, checked for leak, test drove twice and no leak? Brought car back after 100 miles in mountain and Mark tested it again. Must be a small leak up top somewhere. Since it was a newly purchased vehicle, we also had them give it a good inspection. Found two front tires that were so worn that car was not safe to drive. Only got charged for 1/2 hour labor and some cleaning supplies. Wow! I wish this shop was in Dallas! For the last 25 years plus going to, or making an appointment with the dealer, has been a routine of wait for long periods just to check in. then of course, there is the wonderful price that comes with owning a quality high dollar car. Then of course they find something the manurfacture recomends to do at this time in addition to your regular maintenance... there is a huge differance at German Motors, Mark, and Kyle just to name the two that I have delt with the most, treated me with a friendly relaxed approach. they showed me real interist in what my concerns were. never tried to rush me. They did the work/service on my car, and then some, with no extra fees. as a matter of fact, they saved me quite a bit. they didnt do things that didnt need it. when I picked up my car, I was expecting to pay for a B service. its about 550.00 to 650.00 for my car at the dealer. My bill was under 250.00. suprised? you bet I was! they didnt change, or replace things that didnt need it. I have been a customer ever since. Mark, Kyle, German Motors is the smartest move I could make. also, I spent days on wet sanding, compounding, and polishing my car. I picked it up in the same condition. they are Honest, Very Friendly, and have absolute Integirty.
