When I walked in I asked where it was and the security staff told me to go to the 10th floor. You have to walk through the hotel part and go up. Once you get off I promise you, you feel that you are no longer in Terre Haute. I honestly felt like I was in Charlotte, NC. The view is insane looking at the greenery of what makes Indiana so pretty in the summer time (I can't wait to go back during fall to take in the view then too). The music was a total vibe. It was R&B, Chill POP (is that a thing, don't know how else to describe). There is an outdoor patio area where there was a guy playing live music and people sitting on couches relaxing and watching while enjoying a cocktail. I sat at the bar because I was by myself and certainly didn't want to take up an entire couch and leave that for others that may have larger parties. As soon as I sat down my server came to take my order. While I wasn't really planning to eat, once I looked at the menu the Chicken Nachos were calling my name. Even though I am counting calories, I had to order. Man, when they came out they were huge and so so good. You can order the chicken blackened which I did and man it was great. I just sat and enjoyed my very caloric nachos and a cocktail and just really took it in. I don't live in Terre Haute, I live in Indianapolis, but I spend a ton of time in Terre Haute for work. At that moment, I felt proud. I felt proud of Terre Haute for making the investment and proud that they are attempting to change the city by offering things like this.
