Clown show now... came here for years never had issues until recently . No one wants to work and do their job. You come here to drop off scrap and metals and basically have to clock in and do the damn job yourself while 1 person just sits at the computer to read the scale. I dont know what changed but this place is joke now. Never had a issue with pricing and seems like they are trying to give you the lowest price on everything. Apparently they can't recycle license plates. I was told to bring it to the DMV, to which I read aloud to the guy, "Do not bring them to the DMV, they are considered scrap metal and can be recycled." He said, "Yeah, but I just asked my boss and he said no." ... I don't understand. Clearly they aren't up-to-date on recycling processes and just sent me away. read more

I have used gershow in the past and I'm not sure if they pay the best price but once they gave out sweatshirts I thought that was great years ago. Now I drop off metal and it's a job , wait for scales, wait for their truck, wait to drop, wait at scales Again. Give me a time card Mr Gershowitz I want to get paid for my time. I have been to deer park to drop metal never a wait and they have a supply of metal statues fire extinguishers and other too cool to melt metal items and they are for sale by the pound At Gershow I saw something I liked and wanted to purchase and the employees say NOT FOR SALE !!. What are they going to do with it they bought it by the pound wholesale sell it by the pound retail. Make your scrappers happy and they keep bringing metal to you. I'm looking for a new metal buyer that will also sell me an item if I want it Please competitors take note of what they are doing wrong and put these jokers out of business. Also while at the pay window they have a guys drivers license that they never gave back to him. What is it there for ?
