Ham and Brie "baguette" was certainly not baguette. Horrible bread choice for a sandwich. Not labeled as gluten-free, but the bread crumbled worse that a typical GF. No idea what the idea behind the bread was for a sandwich. No cohesion; No bready toothfulness; no redeeming qualities as a bread. Well past the point of even considering it baguette. Crumbly (in the style of a continental breakfast biscuit at an off-ramp hotel). Dry. Flat. Crap. My disappointment is that the sandwich has been a staple for me. This one sucked. Service was fine. Deli people were there. Ambiance was fine--grocery deli.

Some that I particularly like are the instant coffee, great for my afternoon iced coffee drink; their pasta is wonderful and they offer many shapes, not just the norms, the cavatelli being one of my favorites; tortilla chips, black beans, Thai Curry cashews, veggie straws - just to name a few. Like all WFs, they have an exceptional prepared food area with lots of delicious mains and fixings. The one thing I'm not a fan of is the roasted chicken. I've bought dozens and they are always dry. Not sure what's up with that because everything else is really good. Bakery section has tempting treats, lots of grainy breads and even gluten free options. The cheese area is fantastic, always something new to try. Because of the prices, I can't afford to shop here for my everyday items, but I come when I want high quality meat, cheese, and produce. And my favorite 365 items. When items are on sale, Prime users get additional discounts, sometimes as high as 20 or 30% off. Great time to stock up on pantry items.

My Son In Law just got a cashier job at this Safeway. So I would say they have some great employees. I know the current manager is cool. I had an issue with expired beer one time. The manager sent me an e-mail and took care of the situation to my satisfaction. I'm not sure how long I'll live in this area or be shopping at this nice of a store but I hope my new surroundings will be as well stocked.

The lady there, that was working with him, had an attitude, like I was making her perform brain surgery.
