I enjoy shopping at this WinCo. It's nice and clean. Good selection of groceries and all kinds of premade to-go foods and dinners. Low prices across the board. They have short lines at the checkout, and there is a self checkout, unlike the NE 122nd avenue location near my home that removed theirs. I will not shop at the location in my neighborhood anymore because of the lack of efficiency getting in and out, plus it's gotten pretty gross there. This is maybe the nicest WinCo I've ever been to. It is extremely conveniently located, and the store is pretty well maintained and usually clean despite some very large spiderwebs with current tenants over the shelving. The prices are not very competitive especially when so many stores have coupons you can clip electronically that significantly reduce prices at their store and beat here. I've also had very consistent problems with expired food. I purchased a dessert three weeks ago and turns out it expired in January 2024! We threw it away but the next weekend we returned to do shopping we did let the store manager know after we checked the freezer again and found several items with the same issue. Today we arrived to see the freezer is looking wonderfully arranged, clearly someone had spent some time and done some real organizing here, but unfortunately, I went straight back to the product that I had complained about, and again so many expired! I understand being a week past the expiration date, even two or three weeks is honestly understandable, especially in frozen foods but a month, six months, a year or more no way. read more

Great prices and friendly staff. We go to Winco every couple of months to stock up at 1/3 the price of other grocery stores.

This place used to be economical but now some of the prices were higher than Whole Foods. I was surprised! This store is newer and very clean and really well stocked.... no empty shelves and the product was faced on all the shelves. Nice! There are not many organics so I don't usually shop here. You should not have a problem finding anything here but may need to pay the price. read more

We decided to shake things up during Covid and visit this Winco location. We were really impressed with how modern and spacious it was. There was plenty of room to navigate especially during a global pandemic. It felt like shopping at an upscale store, yet, still having those unpretentious Prices! Check out is still the same. You bag your own groceries. We bring our own bags and prefer loading up our own groceries. On our way to visit our friend in Oregon City, we stopped off at WinCo, which had just opened up the previous week, to grab some things for a BBQ. Being from Canada, specifically Vancouver, one of the most expensive cities, we were amazed at the cheap prices of groceries (our friend said WinCo is one of the cheaper grocery stores). However, the one item that was not only NOT cheap, but was actually more expensive than Vancouver when you factor in the exchange rate, was avocados. Avocados were $1.98 each, and that's in American dollars! In addition to being reasonably priced (except for avocados), WinCo also sold alcohol, and alcohol being sold in a grocery store is a novelty to a Canadian, as our liquor sales are regulated to such a ridiculous degree. There was a huge selection of wine, and the prices were very low (even when factoring in the exchange rate), however, the way that the wine was organized was awful; instead of being organized by winery or region, it was organized by type (red, white, rosé), and then in each type, further broken down by variety and sometimes further by no rhyme or reason. So you couldn't see all the wines available by a certain winery in one spot; you'd find a Merlot here, a Cabernet Sauvignon there, a Pinot Grigio there, etc. Very annoying! Winco is the place to go! Bakery section is oh so great! Prices are incredible! We do 90% of our shopping there!

Winco always has the best price for groceries. Love the quality of their produce as well. I shop here whenever the budget's tight.

Reviewing grocery stores is not my bag but I do like a bit of WinCo and here's why. - Prices are upfront and competitive. - Product is very well organized throughout the store and "grab your attention items" are all up front and not distracting you through the rest of your shopping mission. - Lines move at lightening speed due to two running lanes of self bagging (I'm a big girl now and a competent one, I like bagging my own items) - It's employee owned so you see three things; employees that care, employees that are there, and employees that want you there. - The bulk section is massive and freaking clean. Clean I tell you. - They pretty much have any type of grocery you need 24 hours a day from lunch meat to bread to oranges to sparkling water to cat food to cashews. The not so much likes... - Organic is bottom shelf in produce if at all present (this works for some but not for me so much). But they do carry a small amount of Organic shelf items so yay! This kinda goes in the plus column too. - They don't promote local farms or ranches (I get it but still it would be cool). - That's about it. Seeing more positive than negative. Cool! I'm happy WinCo came to Oregon City. We needed them. It's a break from the conglomerates. I shop a certain way and that way is often where I can get at local farms and my favored pretentiously devious cheeses. However, in all honesty, when I want those frozen cheese sticks late at night dipped in some definitely not homemade Thousand Island dressing, WinCo is 24 hours and happy to provide. We finally have a local winco! Very decent selection, almost everything you need, the best prices in town for groceries, and clean bathrooms. They do not have as many employees at any given time as some places, so if you need help you're probably out of luck unless you go to the counter and someone is free (ha, fat chance). That said, the staff are friendly and for the most part welcoming. The deli has pretty good stuff, you can whip together a lunch in a hurry or dinner for two at a competitive rate. I went through the self check line as I only had five items. I had nearly completed my checkout and noticed the cashier standing right behind me - saying nothing. Just staring. She then said " you checked your cucumber as a regular cucumber- it should be checked as an English cucumber. " I asked her why there was not a code on the cucumber - she said "there is." I showed her the cuke- no code. She said "oh, there usually is a code". I retorted "had there been a code, I would've gladly typed it in." Honestly, this woman may as well have accused me of trying to cheat the store. People, IF you do not do your job and mark produce appropriately, we who are everyday patrons are not cashiers. I simply plugged in cucumber and regular cucumber popped up. No English cucumber showed up. This woman should not be working policing the lines if WINCO is truly all about customer service. It's not pleasant to frequent this store and be treated like a shoplifter. Please have grace, customer service people. I like this particular store location, because there are less homeless zombies lurking around to cause a public health and safety concern. However I bought milk here last week and in less than two days it became more and more sour! I wonder if someone is changing the dates on the containers or is the dairy selling old milk as fresh. Customer service is essential. Taking pride in low prices is one thing, but if the customer can't use debit or another means of payment to purchase the low priced items, than what's the service? Winco's debit services were down this morning and the employees just sat back behind the check out stands telling approaching customers as they placed food items on the belt of the news. Thus, having people walk away not purchasing a single thing. People value their time. If they had someone informing customers at the entrance that their payment systems were having issues - that would have provided that needed value of customer service proactively showing they truly cared about the paying customer. Yeeessssss!! I love winco. Where I grew up, you had to gamble your safety in order to save money. So, it feels really good to save money in a safe area. This store is well-organized and fully stocked every time I shop there. The employees are always super nice, so are the customers. Contrary to most winco stores (and most grocery stores) the lines aren't too long. There always seems to be the right amount of cashiers working during busy times, which I appreciate more than anything else at the end of my shopping trips. I've never seen them run out of shopping carts either, and they're always sanitized. I don't have anything negative to say about this winco location. Always happy to shop here. read more

Was just shopping in this local store, they have the mandatory sign for patrons to wear masks, but it means nothing. There were at least 7 people not wearing a mask within the store, and there was no management enforcing this state wide mandate. As long as we have no cooperation from local businesses in helping to curb this disease, it will continue to be a problem in our society. read more

The newest Winco in the area is more wonderful than any of the others I've been to. It has all the bulk foods, meat, deli and fish offerings, wide aisles easy to navigate, and the staff are super friendly. I've been there several times since it opened on June 21, 2018 and I won't shop for groceries anywhere else for now on. Had cashier complain about granddaughter wearing mask which is used to minimize the transfer of germs. Her statement was that it is against the law to wear that mask. My response was then call the police and we can see what law she is breaking.I was willing to leave the store if what she stated was true. Law or company policy to be used at the employees options, as we shop at this location at least 2 times a month while wearing a mask during the cold and flu season. My granddaughters mask is personalized with a zipper design.Maybe the cashier found that offensive? I am not impressed with statement like that, when you can't provide your explanation for statement, it seems selective and with person biases. read more

Sure beats the Safeway Molalla store for pricing. The best thing is there are no games or hoops to jump through to get the best price. I also enjoy not standing in long lines just to go through the checkout. Molalla Safeway had better pay attention; the opening of this new store is a real game changer for them. I care about value, not about playing games at my local supermarket. The Safeway staff in Molalla are nice people, I hope the corporate policies do not keep the Molalla store from being able to compete with a store that offers more for the money. read more
