DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!! They claim they are the cheapest travel company around but that is far from the truth!! I can get even a 1 day ticket by themselves for less directly with Disney! If I use a travel agent with Disney, they even book my dining reservations for me too and give me so much more advice and help than Getaway Today. Get Away doesn't do that at all. Getaway also charges you NON-REFUNDABLE fees to make payments and to protect my hotel and ticket packages. Disney lets me do both of those for free!! They were able to save me $600 by not using Getaway Today. And if I need to change dates or hotels, Disney doesn't charge me a penny to so. I can only do that if I pay extra fees with Getaway. If you're looking for a reliable place to book your vacation, Getaway is NOT the place!! I have been living in denial for many years by using these money grabbing agents!! And they claim to be a small business. Yeah, count their mansions in Utah. Far from supporting a small business. Use an Authorized Disney Vacation planner with Disney and that is actually supporting a small business! They will take way better care than these crazy people that do nothing for you but steal your money. read more

Super disappointed because I used them a few years ago to book a Disney vacation and they were awesome. The cruise department is definitely not up to the same standard. Super difficult to get a hold of anyone, I asked for a quote on a specific cruise and received it over a week later. I called and emailed daily for 10 days to book the cruise and received no response. One of the days I was on hold for an hour and a half and finally gave up. They take advantage of the situation and charge a cancellation fee even though they sold you nonredeemable tickets which sounds like borderline fraud and they won't even address the issue spouting off the same response verbatim that every employee gives when you ask because they're proud of it. If you want to take the credit option you can rest assured they're going to honor it without any provided documentation because they're good for it. But don't worry, if you want to extend the expiration dates there is a fee for that too. If I could give zero stars, I would. I booked a Disneyland vacation months in advance. After researching hotels I chose one I didn't want because the one I wanted was scheduled to be under construction. I found out the day before my trip that the hotel I booked is now under construction with most of the amenities closed. Getting Away Today never informed me of the change and I had no way to know it. They refused to make me whole by moving me to the hotel not under construction unless I paid an additional $2000! One of their customer service reps even hung up on me when I tried to resolve my dissatisfaction. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Beuna Park (5 miles from Disney) we loved the closeness of the hotel, the free shuttle service to and from was amazing and such a breeze and we didn't pay for parking at all. I highly recommend Get Away Today to plan and book your Disney vacation. I've used them multiple times and most recently for my family's November 2020 Walt Disney World vacation. This time they went above and beyond in their customer service. With the pandemic and the closure of Disneyland and the uncertainty of when it would reopen, we rescheduled and changed our plans multiple times. We had initially added their Peace of Mind insurance to our vacation, so there was never any change fees associated with all of our changes. Amazing! When we decided to do an impromptu Disneyland vacation, Get Away Today was the only affordable hotel + ticket package. While I was worried the price was too good to be true, I was availed of all worries. Since we only had a week until our trip, I called to make the arrangements. The representative was knowledgeable, smart and calmed all of my concerns patiently. They ensured I could pick up tickets at the park, would not have to pay rush shipping to get tickets mailed to me and that we got the correct bed room from the hotel. I got off the phone saying "I wish every customer service rep were so competent and helpful". A week later, when we got to Disneyland, I was again wowed by the easy hotel check-in, the ease of getting out tickets from Disneyland and how helpful Get Away Today was, texting to ensure everything went well. I've been burned by such deals on the internet before but, I have never been so happy with a service. Next time we're looking to book a trip, I'll check Get Away Today first :). read more

I have had nothing but great experiences with this company. When we traveled to LA in February, both kids got sick with the flu on the first day and we had to cut our trip short. They were so easy to work with and they took care of everything. They even got us a refund for the nights we couldn't use. We rescheduled for May and AGAIN had to cancel due to COVID. They were again very responsive and friendly. I sent an email over the weekend and had a response by Monday morning. They made the rescheduling easy and straightforward. Great experience using these folks. They were the only place we could find slightly discounted Disneyland tickets when booked with a hotel. We also got free parking at our hotel by using these guys, which can be hard to find around Disneyland. Their prices couldn't be beat. I did a lot of research and couldn't find a better deal. We had a few questions about our reservation which was easy to find using their customer service agents. We were able to contact them very quickly and the representatives were extremely nice and helpful. I would use the company again for that aspect alone. I (actually my wife) used Get Away Today to book a vacation to Disneyland for my family. The main reason one uses a travel service is to get the Best Price. They beat the Disneyland site by about 25% (about $500) and AAA Travel Service by about 15%. There was one minor problem. According to Disney, some information was entered as a "request" and not as paid for (which we had already paid). However, Get Away Today offered to talk directly with Disneyland to solve the issue when we called and the "mistake" was corrected. Get Away Today's representative, Darcy Beech, was very responsive to both our calls and e-mails. read more

This was my very first experience with Getawaytoday and I planned it poorly on my part because I was leaving within a weeks time of when I ordered the ticket. I wanted to have a magical vacation for my 10 year old daughter's Birthday. Needless to say, I will never ever be using them again. I was the typical tourist that wanted to save a few bucks and was rushing last minute to book everything. I spent about $1200 on 5 Three Day Hopper passes ($1700) all together because I purchased other stuff thru Getawaytoday. Now here's my dilemma, I left earlier than planned because of business and so my $1200 worth of Disney tickets were already being shipped to my house and I'm not gonna be there, no biggy I thought to myself...I can just pick them up at Disney and get my tickets reissued (I have done this in the past with other 3rd party companies) I call Getawaytoday when I landed in California (3 days prior From the day I wanted to actually go into Disneyland) and asked them if I can get my voucher numbers so I can just pick them up at Disneyland. Lori was the first person I spoke to and she said..."no you have to repurchase the Disney tickets, there's nothing I can do for you. You have to have someone fedex your tickets or repurchase your tickets". Still not a big deal..I had my mom look around my house in Hawaii to grab my shipment and send it to me...except the box wasn't there even though fedex tracking says "delivered at front door".. I called Lori at GetAwayToday and told her we couldn't find the box and she said "you're gonna have to repurchase all Those tickets at Disneyland, that is Disneyland's policy" final answer! At that moment my heart sunk into my throat. The way she made it seem for me was that there is no hope of you picking up your tickets at Disneyland, you made the mistake so now you have to repurchase $1200 worth of Disney tickets. She told me to just repurchase and when I get home send back my original tickets to get a refund, this was the solution she offered to me! I didn't want a refund, I just wanted to take my family to Disneyland. I held my composure and I didn't argue or yell because I know it doesn't help with any situation but all I wanted was a solution of how we can fix this so I can take my family to Disneyland without having to repurchase $1200 worth of tickets. No solutions were offered and she just didn't care..she just kept saying I had to repurchase tickets. After all that dilemma of the GetAwayToday agents not offering any solution to at least help me get this fixed, I walk over to the ticket offices at Disneyland and explained what had happened. They reissued my tickets without a problem..my Disney vacation was still gonna be magical and my 10 year old daughter is still gonna have the best birthday in Earth! In all honesty, the agent who didn't want to help me probably had a bad day or maybe she just doesn't like people. I just wanted to find a solution to fix this problem and the only solution was to spend $1200 on Disney tickets and get a refund when I get hom. I didn't have an extra $1200 to buy tickets, I just wanted to fix this problem and the GetAwayToday agent was absolutely no help. She didn't even attempt to call Disneyland herself to work it out. Because I almost had my magical Disney vacation almost ripped away from me is the reason I am writing this review. Next time I am just gonna book directly with Disneyland because the way the GetAwayToday agent made me feel hopeless is something I never want to experience again and was definitely NOT worth the $40-$60 that I saved. read more

I have never used a travel service before, but Get Away Today was recommended by several friends and family. I looked in to it and was connected the next day by Amber C. (Wanted to but her last name, but for privacy I did not) . Amber was amazing on the phone, spent time to talk me though everything and made sure all my questions were answered. After my first initial call we did bit speak for a few weeks as I booked my trip early. I had additional questions and I was able to email Amber and within 24 hours she would always get back to me. At one point we were emailing back-and-forth all day. She helped me add memory maker, travel insurance and made sure to even add a last minute guest to my travel itinerary! Honestly I am so glad that Amber has been here to help. I have 7 days before my trip and I have a few more questions, but I am sure Amber will explain everything. I have had many great experiences with GAT. I have used them to book Disney vacations for myself and/or my family for years now. They always offer the lowest rates available ANYWHERE. It has even been lower than the prices through Costco. Customer service has always been friendly and responsive. The best part for travelers on a budget is using the payment plan--less than $200 down and you are on your way to a Disney vacation. Most other sites (including Disney and Costco) you need at least a $200 deposit. Using Get Away Today has always been easy and the tickets are always legit. As long as your trip is paid for two weeks before arrival you can use this option without worry. Even though you sign up for dates to make payments, those rules are not hard and fast and they are flexible if you need them to be. The prices on GAT have always offered a discount--even park tickets without hotel are lower than at the gate or on character dining. The hotels they have available vary from budget to some of the higher end hotels available. The room descriptions are accurate and there are usually many to choose from depending on your trip dates. I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more
