Since I was there, I decided to peruse the selections of vinyl records for sale. They had a lot of really cool inventory, and even though I am not really a collector of records, I do still have some from when I was younger, and it was cool to see certain selections that I currently own, and the price that they are selling for. They also had a nice selection of boomboxes and other retro electronics for sale. This place is really cool, and the owner was spinning tunes, and was really nice and very friendly . . . Cheers!

Greg the owner was awesome as I checked out him and I got to talking definitely a great dude with a great store with a great vibe. He was playing some groovy music that I was really vibing to as I looked through what the crates. Now the store is small but Greg most definitely maximizes the space he has, the selection and value of what he has in his store makes this a must stop if you enjoy vinyl.

Sometimes I go into Mind Cure after payday and make financially irresponsible decisions. I only…read morewanted to snag that The Sicks record, but then I saw the EEL release and got lost in the skulls. Sometimes I go into Mind Cure with my mind made up. I only wanted to see if they had some Thad Jones or bebop for a rainy day. But my mind is never made up. I dig around and find some cheap funk and soul; mostly Parliament, The Isley Brothers, The Staple Singers. I really like what they're playing and ask what it is. Bob Hocko and the Swamp Rats. I'll take that one, too. Thanks. Sometimes I go into Mind Cure with nothing to do and nothing on my mind. I'm in a slump. Do you have music? The answer is always yes. I walk out with things I've never heard of. Or things I've heard of. It doesn't matter. Mind Cure is my favorite place in Pittsburgh. I can get a coffee downstairs and buy a book or a comic upstairs. They have all of the music I want and the shelves are carefully curated and constantly updated. Punk, hardcore, metal, rock, funk, blues, jazz, folk, world, and even a weirdo/indoor kid section for when I'm feeling like a true lump of coal.

The prices are fair and on par with what we've seen in other record stores and online! They also sell AV equipment and accessories, so it's not solely records being sold. That's unacceptable and she was most likely given a $7 value of grenadine at best. I'm sure if they needed to they could have created a custom item and set the pricing but this business instead decided to prey and take advantage on someone who was too Kind to disagree and refuse the order. The record store is impeccable with new finds as well as rare. I've seen quite a few bands play here as well from local to touring and national acts. Space is small but packs the people without being uncomfortable. Acoustics are good. The addition of the bar was a smart move. Affordable prices with alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic beverages. This is totally a place I'd want to visit if I were on vacation somewhere. Glad I don't have to leave the city to do so.

They had a good amount of books but I was expecting a lower price for being used. They actually had the book I wanted for virtually the same price I could get anywhere else, as I'm writing this review I checked online and it's significantly cheaper now than it has been. I guess that's the price of supporting local business.

Such a terrific collection of games, books, tapes, CD's,…read morefigurines, posters, comics, vinyl, collectibles, etc. you would be hard pressed not to find something that doesn't make you go, "I remember this!" Each level has different elements. There's stairs, as well as an elevator to access all levels. Prices seem reasonable for the things that they offer. Everything is well kept and in protective sleeves, etc to preserve it from getting worn. Every employee was pleasant and friendly. Not sure about parking as we walked. But, it's super close to the Heinz History Center so could easily walk from there. Well worth a visit!!

Eide's truly is a store with something for everyone! From comics to records, even toys and antiques…read morethere is a huge selection of items here to look at! There are multiple floors at Eide's and you can take the stairs but there is an elevator. Their floors are organized by the type of item they sell on that floor. For example, one floor is records, another is comics, toys, and action figures, so it's pretty simple to find the right direction if you're looking for something specific. The staff is also very kind and helpful. During my most recent trip I was browsing the first floor and found one of my favorite books from my childhood! It was only $5 and I couldn't pass it up. You just never know what you'll find here, but I can guarantee if you look hard enough you'll find some gems!
