Within minutes of checking in, the "faux" doorknob fell off. Leaving a hole in our door. My husband went to the hotel to tell them. The guy came straight over. After 1.5 hrs he suggested moving us to a room at the hotel, because he'd have to go to home depot to fix it. We agreed. I looked up the room difference. Rooms for king that night and next ran $119. We moved. And stayed. At checkout they offered me a $39 discount.??? Room difference was $39 a night? They said it was because they were booked and that's the rate? But they were not booked! And it was not my problem the door handle fell apart! They never attempted to fix anything, but the door handle that fell off... and I apparently paid for. Stir clear! Not a relaxing stay!

When I was setting up our wine weekend trip to Dahlonega, a friend said to stay close to the square. After a bit of looking around I pick this place. I decided to go with a Villa, so this review is less about the hotel. And the Villa was great! Just like the pictures, very relaxing porch, cute oft bedroom, and a kitchen that had all we needed. We were at the hotel a couple times though. We popped over for coffee one morning. And on another day we stopped in to do a wine tasting. I don't think the tasting room gets alot of traffic so I was sure to call ahead. We actually ended up getting 2 bottles from there. I did note the good service and a nice hang out porch here too. It was a nice stay and when we make it back we probably will stay here again.

We only stayed here for one night but it was every thing we had hoped for. Checking in was easy, though there are limited parking spots behind the inn. Our room was plenty spacious and super clean. We enjoy the Scenic Railway in Blue Ridge and really, if you're doing the 4 hour train ride, staying here is just the best option because of the location. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. One of my favorite things about the room is how many charging outlets there are. Some of the rooms also face the train, which is a nice view. Just note, the rooms that say "balcony" are not the typical hotel balcony with chairs. It's just a small step. Sadly, I don't have a picture. Breakfast is typical Hampton breakfast, with waffle makers, omelettes, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt. Parking is closed off for hotel customers only (probably to keep out train customers who aren't staying at the hotel), but if you book on the app, your digital key will open the gate for you. There's also a $14.96 parking fee per stay (not per night) added to your total. Overall, great location for the Scenic Railway and highly recommend if you're in the Blue Ridge area.

Fantastic rustic cabins, but with all the amenities of a hotel, enjoyable places to go they've got outdoor activities and plenty of places to stroll and watch nature recommend it enough! Nothing like sitting on one of the benches or swings and watching this crystal clear river flow by and a trout jumps clean out of the water right in front of you.

I had the confirmation which they sent me and they made a mistake on their end and double booked the room, so we were displaced from having a room for Christmas. We called around and found the Castle Inn and spoke with Debbie who had a room available and saved our Christmas from being ruined. She gave us a discount for having to be stressed out by the other business which was sweet of her. She made us feel welcome and we loved our stay at her place. We loved having the balcony overlooking Main Street and seeing all the beautiful lights. We had the best stay at the castle inn and will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality, Debbie. I recommend everyone to stay at the Castle Inn while in Helen, GA.

Bar is well stocked with lots of servers, but meatballs are straight out of microwave hot on the outside, and cold on the inside....etc. Most importantly - at the check-in point, I spoke to someone who could not spell. As she couldn't punch in my last name in the computer, she asked for ID which is fine. However, making a comment out loud "god lord is complicated" that my last name is complicated is not acceptable, and is offensive. It appears that this hotel is developed by someone who has financial means, and no clue about hospitality. Perhaps they should hire a competent general manager, and remove all illiterate hicks who scoff at everyone not meeting their preferred demographics!
