I overlooked the trashiness of the parking lot with boxes everywhere, scaffolding and busted up parking markers due to renovations being made. The room was also subpar, bathroom tub had an obvious ring of dirt around it and the mildew in the grout and caulk around the shower gave me pause about even using it. When we did turn the shower on it leaked around the faucet. We were told upon arrival that housekeeping was unavailable soooo we were stuck. Toilet ran excessively after flushes, and the cheap 1 ply toilet paper was pitiful, mattress and pillows were like cardboard. Was fearful to even attempt the breakfast bar. Will not return. read more

I came to town for a business meeting and was told this was probably the nicest place to stay in town. For the past several years, I have been booking most of my travel with Hilton or Marriott properties, so its been awhile since I have stayed at a Choice Property. When I first booked my room on the Choice Hotels website, the meeting was set for a certain date. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, the meeting was rescheduled at the last minute to a later date. I went online to see if I could cancel my first booking and rebook for a later date. It was already past the deadline for online cancellation, so I called the hotel and explained what happened. They were happy to cancel, and did not charge a cancellation fee. I told them I would reschedule as soon as the new meeting date was confirmed. After a long day of travel, I checked in at around 6:30 or so. The front desk associate was a-ok. So, overall, the hotel was an average Comfort Inn. It looked to be an older property and a lot of the carpeting out in the hallways had bleach stains. But my room was clean, the bed was comfy, and employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The free b-fast was pretty standard for Comfort Inn and the employee who took care of the breakfast took pride in her work and was a very sweet lady. If I need to come back to this area on business again, I would definitely stay here again. read more

Place was clean and nice. Breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfast I have had. It was very busy on Saturday night. Not so much on Sunday night. Parking can be a little tight. Use GPS to find it. There is only a sign on the main road. The hotel is up the hill out of site. read more

My husband and I recently stayed 2 consecutive nights in August at the Comfort Inn in Blairsville, GA. We found this hotel to be easy to locate with a well lit parking lot. The building sits a short distance off the highway allowing for a quiet visit free from road noise. The staff were attentive during the check-in process and we found our room to be clean and spacious. The location is convenient to the downtown area. We would like to mention that the air conditioner in our room was somewhat noisy and was unable to maintain the level of chill we enjoy for sleeping. You may want to bring a small fan with you. We enjoyed our stay and will choose this hotel again when visiting the area. read more

I don't care what reviews this place has had in the past. As a person with disabilities, this is the last place I would ever stay. I'm not in a wheelchair. I simply use a cane to get around so needed a walk-in shower, which is what we booked. when we got there. It was a tub with an attachable chair. I must say the gentleman at the front desk, switched our room and apologized. He was very courteous. It is important to note that when I made the reservation, I made it very clear that I needed a walk-in shower with a chair. Whoever took the reservation was the one who messed it up, and of course, wasn't there when we checked in. Now for the room, for disabled person absolutely horrible. They've got a lot of nerve calling that an AI room! Sitting in the shower, you can't reach the shower controls. No soap dispenser in the shower as other Comfort Inns have had. The holder was there, but that's it! No soap or shampoo.No sink or cabinet of any description in the bathroom nothing to lay any of your accessories on. it was all within the actual room. The bed is so close to the air conditioning unit, It's near impossible to get to the right side of the bed. The chair that's in the room belongs in a kindergarten school room. Totally useless. When we got to the room, it was very very hot so we turned the air conditioner on and after about a half hour we're wondering why we're not feeling much cold air so we looked at the filter. You can't see the filter because it is absolutely blocked with filth! I could go on, but I guess that's all you need to know. A horrible hotel for anyone with disabilities! read more

We were in Blairsville, GA doing the tourist thing and stopped to see if they had a room for the night. The young lady at the fron counter was vary friendly and manager standing back in the hall off to the side. When I told them we were traveling with my service dog I was told they were not "pet friendly" and the manager said I could not book a room. Obviously they don't know what a service dog is nor do they understand the laws and guidelines of the ADA. I was not going to argue with people to give them my money and went elsewhere. I hope they learn the laws before someone decides to sue them and they learn the hard way. Fortunately for them, that not me. read more

We were staying at a cabin for most of our time in Blairsville, but needed a hotel on our last night before a wedding. This Comfort Inn is a normal Comfort Inn, and its facilities met all of our expectations. I am taking the time to leave a 5 star for the customer service from management and staff. I am reading the older reviews and it seems they may have changed management in the last few years. The place is spotless and we definitely didn't have issues with payment or booking. Our rooms were perfectly clean with no odors or anything out of place. The bathroom water was piping hot and lasted for two women who take a long time to get ready. Common areas are maintained with the same meticulousness. Regarding our booking - we were in a wedding block that I guess hadn't met the minimum booking threshold of maintaining it. Moreover, we requested a one night stay in a block that required 2 nights to qualify for the discount rate. We therefore met NEITHER of the two requirements to be offered the discount rate, but the manager, who let us call him on his cell phone still gave it to us out of his own discretion and kindness. When we came a few weeks later, he remembered me from the phone and knew I was here for the wedding, which made me feel so welcome. I want to apologize to the manager that we ended up throwing a curve ball and brought our service dog without letting him know ahead of time. I did not realize this would create difficulty as there are limited rooms which allow that, but in spite of this he STILL made it work without making us feel bad. He let us check in early because he knew we had to get ready for the wedding AND he made an exception to give us a normal room even though the pet approved rooms ones were all booked. He trusted us and cared for our situation, and for that I am really grateful. The cleaning staff and everyone we ran into was so warm and kindhearted as well. I cannot say nicer things about them! Fantastic stay. We came for a funeral. In fact the entire family members stayed at the hotel also. They also enjoyed their stay. The hotel is very accommodating. The staff see very friendly. We stayed here a few nights. The hotel is updated and very clean! Excellent job keeping it clean! The hot breakfast is delicious. The pool is very nice and warm. Not huge but nice. Parking is simple and close to all the doors. Definitely enjoyed out stay and will come back. Thanks for everything. read more

She recommended places to dine in the area. -The cable was not working - but the Wifi was in service. To be fair, we never called to get it fixed as we were in Helen for most of the day. - Indoor pool was clean and closed at ten. - Continental breakfast was average. Expensive! ...and noisy Upon check-in, the desk clerk told me about all the credit card theft occurring at the Hotel. That created some concern for me. Fortunately, I have safeguards for such things. Still, not something one wants to hear. Getting to the room proved to be an uncomfortable experience. My wife and I both detest the smell of cigarette smoke. There were 2 people smoking by the door creating a cloud of cigarette smoke we had to walk through to get to the door. It was nasty! Once we got to the room, I was relieved to see the room was clean. After all I had seen, I expected the worst. We noticed that they had no microwaves in any of the rooms. We had to travel downstairs to use the one in the breakfast area. The room was clean and comfortable, except for the noisy people up and down the hall. The room did not have good sound insulation as all I heard all night were people talking in the hall. Because of this, we did not get a good nights sleep. The desk clerk had said the breakfast was "really good" and so we expected more than what we experienced. The coffee tasted odd and as for the food, well, lets say there was much room for improvement. Considering the high cost of the room, we expected better. I gave this place a chance after reading all the 4 and 5 star reviews. I guess you can't really rely on these. My experience here was poor and I believe their rate is high (probably due to lack of competition). I will never stay here again. In fact, I doubt I ever stay at another Comfort Inn again. read more

I stayed here on two occasions once in 2015 and another in 2016. The staff was nice and courteous and the breakfast was...... it was meh. For some strange reason, our bathroom smelled like someone had took a giant poo the whole time we stayed. The bathroom and room were clean, so I'm not sure what that was all about. read more

My family of 3 stayed the Saturday before Valentine's Day. The hotel, although busy, was very clean, well-kept, and the staff was extremely friendly. My son enjoyed the indoor pool while the outdoor temperatures were in the 30's. It's very nicely located for food and fun, as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Blairsville/Blue Ridge area. read more
