AVOID THIS BUSINESS! My father passed away in 2021 and I discovered he stored his RV at Huge RV Storage (aka Burnt Storage) in Cape Coral, FL for years. It took a bit of digging just to locate the RV, including a needless drive out to Punta Gorda (40 minutes each way) to locate the RV in Cape Coral. Once I figured out it was in Cape Coral, it took a long time to find the RV itself, due to their lackluster record keeping (looseleaf notebook paper in a 3 ring binder with incorrect entries). I was also treated like I was a nuisance for inquiring how I might find the actual vehicle in this large lot. Despite this rocky start, I sustained monthly payments for this "secure" storage, but it was not easy. They wouldn't send me monthly invoices as requested (this is a part of my father's estate and records are needed). They were, however, very quick to tell me that my PIN access would be cut immediately if I missed a payment. Once the RV was located in the Cape Coral location, I discovered the vehicle had fallen into disrepair, requiring some service to start and be drivable. Service was provided on-site (from a 3rd party) at Huge RV in January, 2022. Upon the next visit to clean up the RV in April 2022, we discovered the RV had been stolen from this facility. I immediately received a call from Ashley at Huge RV who stated they didn't have any keys and were not responsible for anything. Instead of trying to help out, they stated that "someone" showed up with my father's PIN, a set of his keys, and stated they were his son. My father has two sons, each of whom live hundreds of miles away and were nowhere near this facility. This person was not a son, or any family member for that matter. Since then, they have not provided any evidence that his PIN was actually used and they have not provided any physical description of the "son". Did they actually see keys in the ignition? No comment. Furthermore, they couldn't nail down when this theft occurred, initially saying it was "some time ago". According to the police report, they later stated it went missing back in February, 2022. They never contacted me. I sent them monthly payments on-time, every month. They had my cell phone, and they have my email for when they can be bothered to send me a bill, yet they never reached out to me to verify this was actually a legitimate family member. Also, as a part of the police investigation, we requested video surveillance around when this incident occurred. They responded that they only keep 7 days of video. Keep in mind, it is not uncommon for people to leave their vehicle at this facility for months or years at a time, like my father. 7 days of video is not nearly enough. Within 24 hours of the discovery of the theft, I received a form letter stating I had recently removed my vehicle and "thanks for your business." That was just insulting. This has been incredibly frustrating. I STRONGLY recommend avoiding this establishment. read more

Not good. not good at all. I recently started renting there. then hurricane Ian came though. the town had much notice to prepare. apparntly smartstip didn't head those warnings. after the school my husband and I wanted in to assess any damages. we were refused. told they don't have power. it took 5 days to get power back. and in that water and soaked the entire place. our furniture was ruined and covered in MOLD it took 3 days after that for any kind of attempted clean up. mold just all over the building. all of us breathing it in. then the insurance they MAKE YOU BUY says oh we don't cover that. read more

Rude service. The gate sometimes did not work to open and you're stuck outside the gate for hours and I had to leave my boat outside their premises overnight as a result. They say 24 hours but they're not. Old guy that lives on the property doesn't answer his phone. Don't believe 24 hr service crap. Sign always says it's open but there's nobody inside the office sometimes. I also moved out just after the first of the month and they would not refund me for the rest of the month. They say that it's in the contract and they couldn't. So I guess you got to read the 10 page contract and make sure that the businesses don't screw you at the end. I told them know that I was going to leave them a not so pleasant review as a result of that. Overall it's a dirt lot with some gravel and they let you keep your boat or RV there. It gets really dusty as a result of all the traffic. Every time I picked up my boat I had to literally wash off the top and inside as it was full of dust. I kept getting grass clippings from the other property across the street that's not theirs all inside my boat but I never complained. I guess at the end you should complain about anything like everybody else so that they have to make those corrections but I didn't and at the end they screwed me so I'll tell you the truth about them is that they are rude but they let you keep your stuff there for a pretty large charge. It's about 15 minutes outside of town. I found a much cheaper place right near town. Much better service and family owned. This is just a money machine for some investor. Go somewhere else if you want customer service or care about your equipment. I think they take take small gadgets off mine. read more
