Before writing this review I called ggc production about my horrible experience at my wedding reception. I never even got an apology from the boss (Greg) and he pretty much said my story didn't "match up" and there would be no refund. (Which I never even asked for) I hired ggc productions to dj my wedding. we filled out all the paperwork online for the ceremony and reception. The dj still asked me about reception grand entrance after filling everything out so I copied and pasted the same exact wedding party introduction I sent to my coordinators. I thought I was in good hands. My ceremony went smoothly. My reception was horrible. The dj (dj Reece) forgot to call about 5 people and started to call out the bride and groom. He also mixed a couple of the bridesmaids up. My coordinators had to run over and tell him he missed so many people. The reception entrance was totally screwed up! The dj came and apologized after so I let it go. Many of my family and friends the next day told me the dj was drunk and was taking shots. Guests also saw him pouring himself a shot. Then I hear from other guests that my dj was drunk or they saw him drinking. I was pretty upset how things happened after spending $950!! And also tipping the dj!!! After explaining all this to Greg, he never once apologized And said he needed more information. Greg then called me thinking I was the coordinator and said "the brides story doesn't match up" pretty much making me feel like I was lying. I told him I am the bride, then he studdered and told me how couldn't talk anymore cause he had to pick up his kid. Greg called my videographer, photographer, and coordinators to get their story. He told me they never saw the dj go to the bar and made me feel like a liar. Why didn't he ask to speak to the bartender who was actually at the bar? He spoke to everyone who were way too busy working at the reception to even notice if the dj was drinking. I never even noticed the dj was drinking myself. This is what other people saw. Well then I messaged the bartender asking if they saw the dj drinking or if he came to the bar. They stated they saw him taking 3 shots on the job and went to the bar. And poured a shot at the end of the night. Then saw a beer can fall out of his car. He just looked at the beer can and ran it over as he left. The bartender said the dj seemed odd and definitely didn't act sober. I'm really heartbroken how the reception went after workin so hard to try and plan it out. I only have a wedding once. I was also so embarrassed that my family and guest had to witness the dj taking shots after messing up the reception grand entrance. I honestly wouldn't care if he drank but the fact that he lied about it is upsetting. He said all he had was an energy drink, which is a lie . Own up to your mistakes!! The dj and Greg just made excuses for every mistake and lied. The dj did however, play good music during the reception and had people dancing. He provided extra lighting and the ceremony went smoothly. My coordinators said he was helpful with extra lighting and provided a generator. That I'm grateful for. I would never recommend a loved one or friend to hire for a wedding because that only happens once and I hope they ware able to learn from this. Maybe for a party or event. And horrible customer care after I called ggc production to tell them what happened. I never write bad reviews but this time I just had to because how bad of service I received from Greg. He never owned up to the dj's mistake and made excuses for everything that went wrong. Here are messages from my bartender stating they did in fact see the dj drinking and here is Greg's "apology" email stating the dj only had an energy drink. Horrible experience overall!!! I wasn't trying to get a refund at all. So I don't even know why he said he wouldn't issue me a refund. I would rather them give a decent apology and own up to the mistakes and try and make it right. I even tipped the dj after everything that happened so I'm not here to complain just to get a refund. My wedding only happens once and I would never wish this upon another bride. read more

I was looking for a photo booth vendor and someone to provide games (giant jenga / giant connect 4) for a holiday party and reached out to Gregory at GGC productions. He was extremely responsive and accommodating. Larry was our photo booth operator and went above and beyond helping our guests with the photos, virtual props, and videos. He also took care of setting up our games. In addition, he even offered to sign in any stragglers for me when it was time for us to eat dinner. We were able to get the photo booth and some accent lighting booked with GGC and it helped us not have to find more vendors. They were all very professional and fun to work with. A non profit that I volunteer with used GGC productions for a party we had a couple of months ago. We were pleased with their work. Prior to the event they took requests for songs. I thought it was a nice touch because Greg (the dj) was ready with the songs we all wanted to hear. The day of the event Greg and his assistant arrived early and had everything ready to go well before people arrived. Once the party got started he played the requested song along with watching and interacting with the crowd to make sure everyone was dancing and having fun. Worked with Larry back in October for my wedding. When people bring up my wedding I still think back to how awful the services were. They sent out a from online for me to fill out before the wedding. It included everything the DJ would possibly need to know in order to direct the wedding for it to run smoothly. They had things listed I didn't even think about! Like what time we would finish eating for the dancing to start, when people should make speeches, and everything! I was so grateful that they made me think of things I hadn't even thought of yet! I was sure I was in good hands! Well! I was WRONG! AND FOR $800 I CERTAINLY DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE THAT DIFFICULT! I even emailed them after I had completed the form just to be sure that they had all the information needed. First, my walking song was my cue to start walking down the isle. My song never played. I even had the wedding coordinator come down to let me know that it was time to walk. I explained that my song had not been played and that she would need to tell the dj to play my song. Well, he had no idea what song to play. I THEN had to tell my photographer to go upstairs with the song name to give it to him because he had NO IDEA what song!!! He then stopped the music in the middle of the song that was playing and started playing my wedding song before my photographer could even get back down the stairs! Second, I had specified when to ask people to speak and specified what music would need to be played during dinner and when we were dancing. He had no idea. He hadn't read anything that I posted. Basically I had to spend my entire wedding telling him what to do next. I'm the BRIDE! And I'm having to run around and tell my DJ when to announce things! He never even announced my bubble send off! Everyone went downstairs to leave and I had to have my bridesmaid run outside to tell everyone to line up on either side for our bubble send off! He was AWFUL! Do yourself a favor. GGC Productions handled all of the music and lighting for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier. I don't mean your standard disco lighting either, I mean lighting that completely changed the look of the room. Think David Tutera and the budgetless weddings you see on the lady channels. That good. And, they went out of their way to make sure all of the music was just what we wanted. My husband is all about music so this was an important piece of the puzzle for us. I can only imagine the look on their faces when we answered their request for "5 Must Play Songs" with a list of "72 Must Play Songs". All I know is that he hooked it up. He didn't play a single song we didn't want. On top of that, the prices are great. If you have an event that needs lighting or a DJ, definitely check these guys out. read more

I am not one for giving 5-star reviews. They seem disingenuous. But with Gregory Hoffman and GGC Productions, 5 stars was the only possible rating. Gregory not only listened to all our concerns and suggestions, and played all the music we wanted to hear, but he helped coordinate the flow of the reception with his great personality and got our guests shaking their groove things on the floor. Seriously, the photos of my uncle, who had just recovered from a quintuple bypass, doing the "Harlem Shake" are priceless. From the very beginning of the search process, I knew I wanted GGC Productions to be our DJ. Gregory responded to emails almost immediately, and was a great value compared to other DJs with the same services and experience. He made us feel completely comfortable throughout the entire planning process. Most brides know that getting some vendors to answer a phone call or email can be next to impossible. Not only was Gregory quick to respond, he even initiated contact with me again after the Christmas and New Year's holidays just to see how wedding planning was going! When he couldn't tour the venue with my fiance, coordinator, and I on the day we had scheduled, he later went to the tour the venue on his own. Without me even asking. He made the changes to our layout that were necessary to make our dance floor perfect, and he incorporated my fiance's original song into our playlist seamlessly. Greg with GGC was amazing as our DJ. He made the process very easy and was extremely knowledgeable when creating a timeline. He was responsive with questions and needs. Their website was easy to navigate and made it easy to set up what songs we wanted played. Greg was extremely professional and checked in the week prior to the wedding. The lighting was absolutely gorgeous and the photo booth was perfect! It was amazing getting it all from one place and you couldn't beat the price point either. We hired GGC productions after meeting them at a bridal show in Austin. We got a great deal, and a very affordable price. Both guys had a great attitude when we met them, and they definitely charmed us into signing the contract right then and there at the bridal show! Our guests LOVED the Photo Booth, and the pictures were uploaded to a website the night of the wedding. If that isn't fast service, I don't know what is! The DJ kept our crowd entertained, and was even able to accommodate last minute changes to our reception schedule. The only compliant we have is that we wish more of the indian songs we requested were played, as we provided a list well in advance to the wedding date. Found GGC Productions through an online search for DJ's in central Texas. The reviews helped me decide to use this DJ for my daughter's b-day. Greg, the owner/DJ, was very professional; most experienced and knowledgeable. He was easy keep stay in touch w/ while planning the event. This was my first time using a DJ and I was thoroughly pleased and impressed. I was surprised by the 'light show' on his equipment which really made it better than it already was.
