I started off virtual in the middle of the Covid 19, and that is what convinced me. They are legit virtual workouts, not someone just saying "go, lift higher, yes, great, you can do it". I LEGIT came out of those workouts sore. On top of that, I started going to outdoor workouts. And like I said, when my body is sore then I know the workouts are effective. The coaches and the members are so welcoming and they teach you technique, they are not just trying to conduct class, and "peace'ing out". Also, you get VARIETY. The director of bootcamp Jaime, is extremely passionate about helping people with their fitness goals and creating a motivating, fun environment.  The training staff, including Mark and Marisa, are great. They all have their own unique personalities and styles, and they will push you beyond your comfort zone. But guess what--you'll realize that you can do more than you thought, and you'll be on your way to getting results.  The classes are intense and they keep the energy level up with good music. I've been working out with Coach Tuohy and the other trainers at X-tra Mile for a few years, and I…read morethink it's a great place to train, if you're looking for intensity, variety and some really nice people. I've seen them training school-aged and college athletes, soccer moms, pudgy dads, Spartan-racers and everything in between. I do "bootcamp" 5-6 times per week, which is a one-hour, high intensity butt-kicking that can include anything from chin-ups and pushups to tire-flipping and sledgehammers. And squats. Lots of squats. The workouts are flexible and scalable depending on the individual's needs, so a wide range of people can work out together. The trainers all do a great job of understanding the needs of the athletes, and keeping the workouts varied so it doesn't get boring or repetitive. There's great camaraderie among the boot camp crew, and we occasionally go to happy hour at the Riverside Inn, so there's that too.

Most frequent users prefer it on the hotter side. It was under 160 degrees this morning which is an improvement from 140 degrees last week so I increased the score. Really expensive ($40/month for annual and $60 yes $60 for monthly membership), least amount of…read moreequipment I've ever seen (only 20 treadmills/ellipticals) and the LOUDEST music of any club in this area, and that's saying a lot. I think they play the music so loud to cover up how few ppl there are; but it has just the opposite effect and just accentuates the emptiness to near comical levels. Forget not being able to listen to a podcast or non-music YouTube vid in your headphones without distraction, you won't be able to even make out most of the words even at the highest volume. A lot of bars and nightclubs don't have music this loud. This is also the first gym I can remember out of dozens that doesn't have a leg press nautilus machine. No calf machine either. I'm guessing this place is more centered on CrossFit and classes, tho the area doesn't seem that large and is not cutoff from the main area. Would consider this gym if not for the super expensive prices (most other than Lifetime I've seen this area) and the music, as I like gyms that are not crowded and it's so close to me. I completely believe those who say they were ripped off on their bills; would like to support small business but detest this practice and don't know why it's so accepted among gyms when in other industries you would face legal consequences.

The instructors and members are very welcoming, supportive and motivated. I've experienced instructors Kevin, Mark, Pattie, Renee and Laura during various classes. They each seem to bring in a unique element and style, but the common thread seems to be that they all love what they do, and this is reflected in the quality of the experience. Kevin seems to have a sixth sense ability to observe and identify small nuances (whether it be related to form/technique, relative weakness/strengths, energy levels) and makes real-time, personalized suggestions on appropriate adjustments and modifications that help me tremendously. Members seem to have very strong camaraderie and everyone puts in 100% effort. I can see myself thriving here in the long term.
