Everything went well from start to finish! Can't ask for more than that! He's good at what he does, and he's nice besides.

My first operation the drops I was supposed to put in my eye was missing one that Dr. David Price forgot to give me. My right eye was the first for the Cataract surgery. Nurse stab me 3 times in my hand and the side of my arm instead of the pencil size ones on my arm. After a lot of drops in my eye to numb it prior to surgery. Nothing was put in the IV stabbed in my arm. While operating I experienced pain told him, he said give him some fentanyl. Started again more pain gave me some more. After surgery he tells me that my retina was detaching itself. I'm thinking maybe that's why I felt the pain. I now have a smoky cloud in my eye and it's spreading and was told to put eye drops in twice a day till August. So mean while my right eye doesn't have 20/20 like it's supposed to be. Can't wear my glasses because I can't see out of my right eye through the lens. I'm a Marine Corp Veteran maybe that's his problem. I still have another eye to go.

That may be because all they hire is thin, attractive 20 somethings that have no idea about customer service. I was scheduled for surgery tomorrow and they canceled me! The scheduler called for a post op follow up. After that was done I complained that I didn't even have my surgery time. They expect their patients to drop everything the day before surgery and come running when they figure out how many cattle they can run through for maximum profits. So, this irritated Ms Jr Miss and she became even ruder than before. I said "I'm just asking you to pass it on to management, you don't have to be a bitch about it. It wasn't 10 minutes later and I got a call from the office manager. She said I needed to come in that day to talk to Dr Price about the way I had treated his employee or they wouldn't do the surgery. It was like being called to the principals office. They didn't bother to even ask my side of the story. Of course I refused, so they canceled me after being scheduled and pre-paying. In hindsight I'm glad it was called off. If they are this unprofessional on the business side I don't want to trust my eyes to them in the operating room. I post this knowing that same rude office manager is going to post some polite reply for the sake of public image. She'll politely post it when she didn't give me the time of day one on one. I wonder if Dr Price has the sack to call me or better yet, come to my office. Just remember doc, what goes around, comes around.

I have already had a minimum of 4-5 exams/checkups and 5-6 visits with the lens technician in an attempt to get new glasses with a new Rx. Unfortunately, every visit with this office has been a disaster from day one. It started with incorrect eye appointments, lack of measurements by the technician, wrong lens prescriptions, incorrect lens/bifocals placement, and the inability to make a workable pair of glasses. I CONTINUE TO BE UNABLE TO SEE OUT OF THE CURRENT GLASSES/PRECRIPTION and have not had any resolution. The medical service, customer care, and technicians' ability to provide adequate lenses for a pair of glasses is way below standard for any office and I have voiced my concerns, suggested options, and continue to be ignored by the office staff, not getting a response or resolution. I am disappointed in my selection for services at this office. I decided to get a second opinion with another optometrist and provided the new results to Whitson Vision on 4/2/26. It noted the bifocals were not lining up, the Rx is different, and it is not even 20/20 vision with the lenses. When I provided this document to office staff, I was told I would be contacted. I did not get a response. I did stop into the office and ask for an update on 4/16/26 and still have not had a response to date. The treatment I have received and the inability to provide a satisfactory basic service by this office is unacceptable. I am requesting a complete refund of the purchase of the lenses only with totals $880. A staff member finally called back, weeks later, after I stopped in several time to talk to someone (no assistance) and they said they could make another pair of lenses if I would give them the Rx I had gotten from my second opinion. I asked for reimburse for those costs if I gave them the new Rx - they said no - so I did not agree to give them the new Rx. I did not get a response or resolve this issue by 4/30/2026, so I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office for assistance and to get some resolution from a scam of a business. Action is pending to date -as Whitson Vision is not responding to the AG's office either!! DO NOT GO THERE - there are better more honest providers!!!

Our ophthalmologist, Dr. Frascella, referred my husband to Dr. Prall for a torn retina. We were…read moretold to expect between 2-4 hours for the appointment. The office is conveniently located off of the 106th Street exit on Meridian Street. There is a large parking lot with many handicapped parking spaces that were well maintained and salted in this bitter cold weather. This was a very busy office when we arrived for a 1:00 appointment. We walked in behind 6 other individuals but with 4 check-in windows we moved quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful explaining the new patient paperwork. The waiting area has ample seating, comfortable chairs and a large flat screen to entertain us during our short wait. This is one efficient medical group. Each step in the process (testing, consultation and Laser procedure for us) has a separate office and waiting area (just steps from each other) as you progress down the hall. The wait was less than 10 minutes before the MA took us back for initial testing. She was so nice, very efficient, knowledgeable and reassuring. The Physician consultation and exam was thorough, comprehensive and professional. We soon realized the laser repair was occurring next...not at another appointment. After confirming diagnosis we moved to the laser procedure room waiting area. The laser room assistant was a little abrupt here (without warning grabbing his head back for drops) and lacked the bedside manner we experienced earlier. Other than this minor annoyance the entire experience proceeded smoothly and in less than 15 minutes. The entire visit and process took right at two hours. We really expected at least two separate appointments and appreciated the efficiency of this office. We highly recommend Dr. Prall and the group Associated Vitreoretinal and Uveitis. Just rolls off the lips, right?...lol.

Once qualifying, everyone in the office was hopeful with scheduling appointment for the actual surgery. They were offering a discount if you booked for the month of December, however, I was planning to be on vacation. I asked them if I pre-paid in December and scheduled for January if I could still get the discount-- which I could. They allow you to pre-pay, have payment plans, and/or can use your HSA. The procedure itself only took about 10 minutes. I have 3 great friends that have received Lasik surgery within the last 2 years-- everything they described was exactly how it went. They definitely relieved a lot of the stress that I had going into it, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't still nervous. The doctor and the techs were so kind and reassuring that I was doing a good job while the procedure was going on. Once the procedure was done, I was able to leave with sunglasses that I was advised to keep on for the first full day. Around the clock eyedrops are required for the first week and then drop to four times a day for the month. The doctor that did my LASIK called the next day to ensure I was doing OK and if I had any questions. I thought that was very nice bedside manner, and some thing that really stuck out to me. I came the next monday for my follow up appointment and everything went well. Currently seeing 20/15 vision. All of my friends that I knew that got Lasik all said the same thing - - that they wish they got it sooner. Now I can actually understand what they mean. If any of my fellow Yelpers are curious to know anything else, feel free to private message me on Yelp and I'd be happy to answer any questions that I can! 10/10 recommend.
