Giant Fitness gives a lot of bang for the buck. The gym is extremely clean and the equipment is all very well maintained. There is plenty of cardio and weight equipment to choose from even when there are several people working out at once. The cardio area has televisions with an audio feed that can be tuned to via receivers on the machines. On your way in or out, you can grab a smoothie or protein shake form the lobby area.

As someone who's gone to this gym from time to time, there are a few pros & cons that I will list…read moreout in detail to help you better understand as to whether or not this gym is for you! Pros: The gym has a LARGE amount of amenities. There are two basketball courts (which are also used for pickleball), an indoor lap pool with hot tubs, an outdoor swimming area with slides (at an extra charge). There are classes, a ton of different machines for both cardio and lifting, and a really clean and upscale atmosphere. People tend to mind their own business and the staff have on average been helpful, at least in my experience. There is also a kids "daycare" if that's what you call it. A lot of parents will use this so they can have time to work out and actually work. There's a little area right next to the cafe that has tables and outlets. I see a lot of people with MacBooks doing work. They probably work remotely. Who knows. Cons: The price point for this gym is definitely the highest of them all coming in at $220.00 a month per person. IF you are married or you can prove cohabitation, you can add an additional person on your account for around $100 a month. This gym definitely has a crowd that is very gymcentric. This isn't a bad thing. But some people who are looking for a more chill or less intimidating atmosphere may think twice. I was one of these people until I decided to just not care. But that's easier said than done. The gym can be exceptionally crowded at peak hours. So if you plan on going daily I'd do my very best to avoid late afternoons on weekdays and nights on weekends. I was hoping the bathroom situation would be a little better but, there seems to be 2 bathrooms for ladies and men of course (from what I've seen). And with the amount of people there sometimes, it can be a little bit hectic. The locker room is fine and the showers are just average. At the price point of $220.00 I was expecting some futuristic pod shower than also does your taxes but, we all can't have what we want. The outside swimming area is an additional monthly charge, by the way. Conclusion: So take it or leave it. The price point is HIGH, but there are a lot more amenities and options for machines than any other gym out there. Is that justified? I don't really know. So three stars. Until they have a robot that does my taxes, then it might go to 4.

But at one point I realized I needed coaching to move to the next level so I decided to give it a try at Hygge, and it was one of the most meaningful and fantastic decisions I've ever made (no kidding). I lost 10lbs (8% of my body weight), 4.4% body fat, my arms and legs are muscular, and I saw an ab for one second before I ate some cake so I have to work on that but the whole physique thing is coming along nicely. I feel stronger than I ever have, I rehabbed a shoulder injury easily, and am more capable of carrying heavy things, lifting whatever without much effort. Training at Hygge has given me a control over my movement that I'd never experienced before. The facilities are amazing, the coaching is amazing (at all three locations) Lifting cycles are well planned, goals are measured, and you are able to track and see your progress easily. They offer a TON of classes as compared to other boxes, and the caliber of instruction and training is unmatched in my experience (I've done some drop ins, literally had a coach compliment my form AND the scale I chose as he had never considered it before -- directly stolen from what we did last week at Hygge). Your body and life will change, you will make some friends, you will all become better together and you'll feel awesome. I am a convert for life because of this gym and these coaches. If you have doubts go in. These guys care so much about what they do and you as an individual. You do not have to be fit to start. You will get there, and you're only competing with what you could do last week and yourself. So is everyone else. Good luck.

I was paired with an older male "trainer" whose comments, behavior, and high-pressure sales tactics were deeply unprofessional and disrespectful. What I experienced was not actual personal training. Instead, the session included manipulative and sexually harassing comments, including contradictory statements about my body and him dramatically claiming he needed to "save my life" Harmful Management Inaction What made this situation so egregious was the direct involvement and subsequent inaction of the manager, Ben. He was sitting nearby the entire time, witnessed the trainer's manipulative and harassing comments, and still chose to sit idly by. This was an incredibly unethical failure of management that actively reinforced the predatory environment. Internal Staff Concerns and Prior History The manipulative behavior was so blatant that when the trainer attempted to involve another male employee, the employee refused, even stating, "This guy does whatever he wants around here and gets away with it." I later learned from staff at a nearby LA Fitness location that multiple members at this Mount Laurel location had previously reported similar concerns. Despite these prior reports, I was still paired with him, which raises serious questions about member safety and oversight at this facility. Positive Exception I do want to note that Jared was very kind, respectful, and professional when I joined the first day, and I truly appreciated his customer service. This gym would be a safer and more welcoming place if more staff demonstrated the same professionalism and care that he does.

Today, I decided to try out the Voorhees location mainly due to the indoor track. I am training for a race and I don't like to run on treadmills or in poor weather. The "indoor track" has 2 narrow lanes for jogging and walking, yet most of the members seemed oblivious to this and I was dodging people who were not aware of their surroundings for most of the run. The track circles their cardio equipment, therefore you're just passing people staring at you run. I quickly realized the indoor track was not what I was looking for. But, I already knew I wouldn't sign up for the gym even before seeing the indoor track due to a comment the member specialist said while giving me a tour. As he is pointing out the equipment, he says "here is the incline chest press, but women don't need to use this unless they are body building." I'm sorry, sir, but as a 60 something year old man who opted to take the elevator instead of the stairs due to physical issues... how the hell do YOU know what women need? Are you a woman? Are you a trainer? Are you ME? No... that comment was unnecessary and I won't be back. Two stars because they do have top of the line equipment, as well as good amenities (sauna, pool). It was crowded, but it was also a Sunday.

As years went by, the customer service declined even at the old ownership while prices rose, and it closed during Covid in 2020 for good. About 2 years ago, in 2023, it reopened under the new name. I tried it out to see if it was better or improved, but it's not. In fact, it's worse. Now, they charge around $115-$120/month, close an hour early at only 9pm on weekdays, the customer service is so bad it would be laughable if it wasn't so unprofessional at that rate of $115/month. When I joined two years ago, front desk girl wouldn't stop flirting with me when I walked in. I had to complain about it after a month. Tried again recently to see if it improved, but no, it's even worse than two years ago, which was worse than ten years ago. There's no way I'd pay over $75/month for this place, if that, but I'd pay 150-200/month for NAC, Lifetime in Princeton, or other luxury gyms. This is an LA Fitness parading around as luxury. The location and old architecture might convince you at first, but once you've been there a few times, you'll see.
