I wish my job let me close early when we're short staffed. Recently, I showed up just before 8 and the large man with a beard, ponytail, and no beard net or nametag sighed when he saw me before angrily asking what I wanted. I told him my order of cheese before he barked back that he can't do cheese because he's trying to break down his cheese slicer for the night, not unless I'm okay with him using the meat slicer for it, which I was not okay with because of certain food allergies I and my family have. He sighed again and angrily said, "fine, but you'll have to wait while I clean it." I agreed and he then proceeded to clean it before slicing my cheese. My family and I consistently get this kind of rude behavior from the deli staff and it's completely unwarranted with how friendly we try to be to them, but it seems like any customer is a bother to them. The one exception is a woman who consistently is pleasant and always asks about the favorite part of my day. She's always pleasant and helpful. Then there is the large woman in the alcohol section who is always quite rude as well and the fact that about half of the cashiers will not greet you or even acknowledge you as they checkout your groceries. Finally, a lot of the food in the store is not rotating properly and I often find expired food and have to sift through stuff to find one that's not expired, their brand of nacho chips for example are almost always poorly rotated with expired bags out. I don't know what kind of standards Weiss has for hiring but, at least this store seems to go for the laziest and rudest they can find.

However, at this one, that was not the case. I stopped in to pick up a few items such as drinks and snacks for my stay. I made my way to where water would be located and found a basically empty shelf. There was no bottled water, not even the sparkling kind. I though, oh well, I will get it from the coolers up front. There must have been a shortage that day or something. I then went up and down the aisles to see if I could find some snacks. I was a little more successful on that part. Grabbed a few things, only enough to carry. I then made my way to the front of the store. I then went to the self checkout registers and had some problems there. But there was no associate around that could tell me what I was doing wrong. Each company has a bit of a different system. I ended up figuring it out, but not before earning some disgusted looks from the locals. Having not found what I wanted/needed I had to then make my way elsewhere to get everything else. It was not a one stop shop for me.

I wish they still had the fresh fish market instead of prepackaged foods. For people that are gluten free, there are more and more items available. I love the desserts and ice cream sections. It is so nice to see all the choices. I love the roll butter and use it all the time. One store told me you can't get it year round. Amazingly I am getting it year round at Giant. The electronic coupons that I can load onto my card take the place of clipping coupons. I still do both at times. Thank you for being there for us shoppers.

Besides fresh meat they offer cheeses, deli cold cuts, freezer items like perogies, chicken tenders and nuggets, lobster tails, trays of lasagna, french fries, crab cakes, shrimp, etc. These items can run out so certain things may not always be there. They also have big gallons of different sauces to pair with some delicious ribs! The men that work there are knowledgeable and so kind and helpful. They also offer many different freezer deals of meats- and if you don't like one of the meats they'll swap it for something else. Ohhh and how could I forget the chicken wings?! $29 for 10lbs?! And they're super meaty and fresh?? Yes please! Anyways, definitely give this place a try. If you complain that they're sold out of certain things- well 2 words of advice.
