The portions were large and reasonably priced, and tasted very fresh and flavorful. The menu provides multiple options and a nice variety of which will certainly make you want to come back to try something new and different. My one daughter loved the pizza which was made with care and consideration for her allergies. It was larger than she expected and she was able to take half home for another satisfying meal. My other daughter stated she semi-enjoyed the shepherds pie, which had large chunks of beef in it. She liked the texture but felt that the gravy was a bit too much/something was off. She did state she preferred the shepherds pie she got from Hershey Harvest better, but this was still good. I loved my crab cake, broccoli, and onion rings. I thought the food was excellently prepared and flavorful. My only complaint was I got too full and couldn't eat it all. I would certainly order it again. The atmosphere is casual and has an average noise level. I appreciate the spacious dining area which gives ample room for guests to not feel rushed or claustrophobic. It was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was also clean, well maintained, and well stocked. My plan is to certainly return in the future and try some other items on the menu. (There were quite a number of items which caught our eyes and made it difficult to choose.)

What I got was not even anywhere close to medium rare. It was very overcooked and very well done. The server was apologetic. I said it was "fine". Not her fault. I tried and ate half, but couldn't do the rest. I left disappointed (and still hungry).

We stopped at Ozgood's, it was about 12:30pm. It was surprisingly busy for the rainy day & thoughts of those out for celebrations tomorrow. We waited in the corridor for about 10 minutes while two large parties were seated. Then we were sat in a back booth. We did not have a reservation. We were hungry and ordered fairly quickly. For how busy they were we only waited about 20 minutes for food. Our server was nice, quiet but attentive. Never felt like we weren't being checked on. All together- I had the Habanero Bacon Jam Scallops, Mom had the Ozgood's Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, my Hubby ordered the Pot Roast Grilled Cheese with Fries. Hits and Misses in the food. The bacon jam was gooey, without that punch of pepper or bacon as hoped for. And the scallops needed 30 more seconds on the heat. I like raw scallop, so didn't mind it. But for a normal patron's palate these would have been undercooked. Also these were not super fresh. My husband pot roast sandwich was good. The banana peppers gave it pizazz, as well the gravy for the fries- nice touch for a dip. My Mom's burger was ok. And sweet potato fries tasted out of the box. One surprise was this cocktail! Mom and I shared and both loved it!! I did not catch the name- but it had gin and blueberry syrup. Now I need to find blueberry syrup for a cocktail. This was refreshing, punchy and sweet. Upping this review to a 4-star for the quick service and cocktail. Ozgood's has been around for a long time and makes sense why. It's solid, not standout. But worth a visit.

My last review for this place was in 2013. I FINALLY came back to Mamma's 11 years later. Used to…read morepark over at the old Feed & Read lot, which is now Young Ones-and charges for parking-so we had someone wait in the car while I ran in. Entering Mamma's, the place has the exact same layout; wasn't sure what I was expecting but I walked straight back to the counter where some kids were working. Since I had to take everything in, I took a menu and a seat, trying to narrow down what I wanted. Stuff I lived off, cheeseburger sub and chicken sub were still listed, as well as the chicken tender platter. I knew I had to order pierogies since it's been years so that was the first thing I did, and the platter won this round. When he asked what sauce I wanted for the bread, I actually had to think since it obviously wasn't the default tomato sauce anymore (I chose bbq which I also used with the chicken). All of this for under $20 which is a steal compared to where I am now. Took a while as expected, but by the time I got back to the car, I was one pierogi down. Food was just as good as I recall. Only thing is the bbq sauce was on the watery side which was odd, but that was it. Why four instead of five stars? I noticed on the receipt way after the fact they have a 'CC Surcharge Credit Fee'. This was a whopping .54 cents, however I PAID IN CASH. I think the teen guys were too much in a rush to talk to their boys hanging out than paying better attention ringing me up, but besides them, I can't believe a little town like Kutztown implemented a ridiculous surcharge, especially with all the students. I expect such a thing in 'big liberal cities' like where I now reside, but here?? It's also not listed on the menu, and I also didn't notice any signage hanging up around the counter area, so just be aware of this unnecessary fee. I guess they are with the times after all. This won't prevent me from returning, but I'll definitely mention it next time when being rung up. Otherwise, the food took me back to when the only thing I to worry about was what final to study for/current crush/etc.

Good food, good people and great service I like this place better. Great ambience and nice.read more
