I love to bake and cook, so although this quaint, unassuming store was a bit of a drive, I happily made it on a regular basis when living in PA. It's out in the middle of the country...let's put it this way, you wouldn't run into it while out and about! I see they now have a website which includes a charming history of this family-owned business dating back to 1955 when the current owner's father purchased the property, as well as where the name "Echo Hill" comes from! I believe almost all the employees are family and everyone is always friendly and helpful. Granted, I haven't been here since moving out of state in 2020 and from reading some of the reviews, it seems their prices (like everyone else's) have increased, but this store always had the biggest selection of grains, flours, nuts, and spices, as well as packaging for homemade food gifts. I always found their selection and pricing to be awesome and worth the drive!

Holy options! The prices are great. We loved the platters from the restaurant in the back. Didn't be intimated by the line, just pull your number and wait. It goes by fast. You'll find fresh poultry and smoky BBQ, poultry pieces and platters, and a full lineup of beef, pork, veal, sausage, and lamb. (This I Swear.... no one hasn't put me up to this energy. I'm responsible for the energy I give out and the vibes here are REAL STRONG!) Because... Wow! You can't get any better at great prices around for sustainable and free range pasture raised meats and cheeses. On Market Days, it turns into a farmers market collaborated with area farmers and crafters with similar mindsets. Unfortunately, this isn't regular as you really have to pay attention to their website (or antisocial media) to remember the dates during the warmer months and then sparingly into November. Most farmers are very amicable and open to answering reasonable questions as you can find out more info on the farm's buying program so you'll never be without seasonal produce and farm fresh meat year-round!

Tom Culton was a delightful and quirky host, and the event was very well run (obviously not just due to the host, but also the Outstanding in the Field group that puts these dinners on at farms all over the country, as well as Chef Nick). Much of the food we enjoyed was grown on the farm, or at nearby farms. My photos should give you a good idea what the farm is like. It's a little building on the corner of the street with wraps, salads, quesadillas, etc. I got the burrito wrap with vegan cheese, tofu, black and refried beans, and salsa. It was delicious! The only noticeable thing was there was a little lack of spice/flavor but they had an entire counter full of hot sauces that totally fixed that problem. Other people in my party also had wraps. They come out like chipotle wrapped in paper and man are they heavy! Wasn't even too pricey either! For four people $37. Were used to paying more for vegan food. I would definitely come back here again if I'm in the area. I could eat burritos like that everyday!

Five Stars for Betty's!…read more Betty's absolutely knocked it out of the park! The Thai Burrito Bowl was incredible -- the peanut sauce was perfection, and every single ingredient tasted so fresh. The Hot & Honey Chicken Quesadilla was pure chef's kiss... the flavors blended together like magic. And my son devoured his chicken quesadilla, so that's another win! I ordered through DoorDash and live about 20 minutes away, and somehow the food STILL arrived hot. Major props to my delivery driver, but an even bigger shoutout to Betty's for serving truly fresh, made-to-order food that holds up. Highly, highly recommend!
