Five Stars for Betty's! Betty's absolutely knocked it out of the park! The Thai Burrito Bowl was incredible -- the peanut sauce was perfection, and every single ingredient tasted so fresh. The Hot & Honey Chicken Quesadilla was pure chef's kiss... the flavors blended together like magic. And my son devoured his chicken quesadilla, so that's another win! I ordered through DoorDash and live about 20 minutes away, and somehow the food STILL arrived hot. Stopped by while I was visiting my old Alma Mater KU. This shop is exactly what we were looking for for lunch. Right off the bat you can tell the ingredients were FRESH. The kids got a smoothie and a cheese quesadillas and I got the southwest wrap and my husband got the Thai wrap. Both had the most AMAZING flavors. The staff (or maybe they were the owners, not sure) were so kind, helpful and friendly. What a great addition to the town. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. A gem in a sea of bleh! Fresh, whole ingredients and a refreshing choice of, mostly, healthy fare. The southwest salad is the best menu item we've had here, hands down! The flavors and textures of the beans, tofu, greens, salsa, and dressing complement each other superbly. The tofu was perfectly cooked - crispy outside and soft inside. It is a savory delight with each mouthful. The hummus and cheese snack wrap is pretty good. Unfortunately, the other items we've had have been lackluster. The corn fritter wrap was underwhelming and fairly bland. The buffalo veg wrap was okay but the vinegar was too strong and dominated the other flavors. The Greek wrap didn't have much flavor outside of the feta. In fact, without the feta it would have been rather banal. We stopped by at Betty's on the way home from vacation because they have vegetarian and vegan options. It's a little building on the corner of the street with wraps, salads, quesadillas, etc. I got the burrito wrap with vegan cheese, tofu, black and refried beans, and salsa. It was delicious! The only noticeable thing was there was a little lack of spice/flavor but they had an entire counter full of hot sauces that totally fixed that problem. Other people in my party also had wraps. They come out like chipotle wrapped in paper and man are they heavy! Wasn't even too pricey either! For four people $37. Were used to paying more for vegan food. I always get the red curry on a plate over rice, but they are great about recommending other vegan options and are now carrying Teese vegan cheese. They offer to add tofu, which is lightly sauteed and delicious. Nice array of hot sauces. I love Cholula, and they have two of theirs. Betty's is a nice alternative to Chipotle, not that there is one close by. Not many vegan options in this town, surprising for a college town. Glad we did because it was a very pleasant atmosphere, the food and smoothie were great, and the portion size for each meal was perfect. I do want to say that this is the best thing I've found in Kutztown. It was a bit funny to me that this is the same place where I got my ex' wife's name tattooed on me (when it was a tattoo shop in the late 90s) and now I'm about to have a burrito (it was a Karate studio before that). Some friends took me to Betty's for lunch and I experienced the best lunch that I have had in a long while. I told the guy that waited on us that I was vegan and he said that they can make the buffalo wrap that I ordered totally vegan by just making a few adjustments. It was awesome! Got 3 wraps on Saturday, fantastic. Chicken Caesar wrap was perfect and filling. Very tasty and even included croutons in it. The veggie with fresh mozzarella, bruschetta and spinach and the buffalo chicken wrap were just as good. This is a hidden gem. Get yourself over there ASAP. Best place in town for lunch or a light dinner, hands down. Their wraps and quesadillas are amazing! They have burritos too, but I don't like them in general so I've never had them, but I've heard awesome things. I loooove the hummus wrap. I always add tofu, I'm not vegetarian but their chicken is too dry and ruins the wrap. You can add chicken, tofu, or beef to any of the wraps. The tofu has an awesome umami flavor, but I've never tried the beef. There's a lot of different options, plenty of variety! I've also had the pesto portobello and mozzarella caprese wraps. Their pesto is absolutely delicious. It's so cute and quaint in here and the staff is always friendly. Plus if you live close, they deliver! Their only sides are bagged chips and daily homemade soups, which I've only had once. But they also offer smoothies, coffee, and homemade ice teas. I am a business traveler and this was one of the only places in town I could find with healthy food options. You can get any wrap without the burrito. You can also add tofu, or chicken to any wrap or salad. However, the chicken is canned. I had the southwest salad which was pretty good, and the vegetable soup which was not. I don't like broccoli in my vegetable soup because it falls apart, and it was not seasoned very well. On the whole, I liked it and I would eat there again. I do appreciate the concept of offering fresh and vegetarian options in Kutztown. But the salad I had here was so bad that I would never go back. It was supposed to have chicken on it, but it tasted like tuna. I think it was poached and then put away for a while. A greek salad with nasty canned black olives, questionable feta, and they forgot the dressing. I would have asked for dressing, but for the rest of it being so inedible. I really wanted to support this place, but they need to work on the food. If you're going to do simple fresh food, it needs to be better. read more

My first time at Bettys and I didn't know what to expect. The interior to me was a little bleak but I was starving and over looked that. I also don't like not having a placemat or some type of table covering when I am eating out and there wasn't one. But I must say if I were to over look those things I would give the food and friendliness of the staff a five star! The server was knowledgeable and eager to please. When my lunch came I was quite happy with the portion size. The Black Bean Soup had a bit of spice to it and I always enjoy a little heat. The Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla was sruffed with chicken and cheese and plenty of buffalo sauce both items were delicious.
