Convenience, that's about it. There are a few decent workers, and one exceptional female cashier. I went shopping one evening, used a small cart, apparently the back was broken, so I had 2 jars of spaghetti sauce that ended up pushing the back piece out and they rolled out and broke on the floor at my feet. There was red sauce on my shoes/pants, even a piece of glass sticking out of my shoe, and not one person asked if I was ok, trying to get papertowels from the customer service, explained what happened, never showed any concern, cut my finger when wiping (that's how I found out about the glass), right down to the person who "cleaned up", MISERABLE! I have a mixed review which lowers the would be score of 4 stars to 2.5 stars. Pros : the produce ( especially when one young man who is hearing impaired) is outstanding ! This young man always has a smile on his face and is quick to go back into the warehouse portion of the store to bring out the freshest of fruits and veggies. He also breaks his neck to make sure nothing and I mean nothing is sitting rotting or attracting fruit flies. The meat department under "Mannie" is also very good and he always does his best to try and accommodate your needs although his hands are tied with the company bringing in more and more crap which Is precut and prepackaged. Seafood also is good especially when Kellie is present she always makes sure that nothing is not fresh or in my case with food allergies has been accidentally cross contaminated. Cons: to start the deli department simply is atrocious .. people sitting around talking to each other while usually only one person is waiting on customers while there are three people working and there are more than ten or fifteen customers !! Cheese is horrible idiots cut it too damn thick and deliberately stack it so you can not pull it apart ! Total waste of money ! Meat department is as I said very rarely cutting meat with most of it coming in precut and already packaged so you cannot get steaks or roasts cut to your desired needs!!! Seafood if Kellie is not there well you run the risk of being sold something not fresh or cross contaminated! In addition I have found the prices are very high to make up for spoilage ! I think prices should be lower and you'll sell more hence less spoilage!! Also too much of the seafood has been previously frozen and it does make a huge difference between fresh and frozen ask any chef especially Gordon Ramsey!! Cashiers ... sadly many of the older non high school age cashiers are horribly rude especially two older women at the self checkout! They also never tell you your gas points. The belt is always dirty! Lastly I get frustrated when people move things from one aisle to another or simply just stop carrying something that you've purchased for years. Went in yesterday- saw three employees wearing masks improperly (exposed mouth and nose- I mean- what's the point?) I got what I absolutely had to (I was already in the building) and fled. Made sure to wash down everything I purchased really well when I got home. Will I return during the pandemic? Nope. This place is really disappointing. The kids that work the check out aisle are generally disgruntled and annoyed to be at work. They have ZERO customer service skills and never help bag groceries. Giant is one of my favorite grocery stores to shop because the store is clean, the staff is friendly, and they're usually well stocked. Giant has plenty of bonus buys and they'll double coupons, up to $1.00. On the occasions that I bought bad chicken and moldy strawberries, I was refunded double what I paid. Whenever the lines get backed up, they'll add extra cashiers to keep the flow moving. The treehouse is a wonderful option for parents - there are sitters there who will watch your children for free while you shop. It's a great, family friendly local market. read more

Clean nice enough store. Deli service has two speeds slow and stop. The kiosk system is the most ignorant form of "service" ever offered. Today that wasn't working so I figured I get some deli meats. Mistake. Twenty Minutes to get through the two people ahead of me. Stopped at 3/4 pound of meat because I didn't have another 10 minutes wait. I won't be back ever. As a food store goes, the place is clean, well lit and the prices are reasonable. However, the failure of this facility centers on the fact that the employess(managers included) smoke right out front of the store's entrance. It's always nice to get a whiff of tobacco smoke when you are purchasing your food! My last visit was a perfect example of this. I dropped off my wife and daughter to do the food shopping and saw the 7(yes count them ) 7 employees out front smoking. I decided to take the time to tell the on-duty manager that it is an unpleasant sight, not to mention smell, to encounter when entering a grocery store. He agreed and said he would take action. Ninety minutes later I returned to pick up my family and the Manager did take action: He joined them out front smoking! All I can say is UGH and I will take my $1000.00 per month of business elsewhere. read more

I'm not sure why, but the employees at this location aren't as friendly as Limerick and Phoenixville. At the deli, the people are rude. Once, I was asked... "what do you want?" Overall Giant is a good store. Trying to get help ordering a birthday cake can be tricky, and they aren't overly friendly. I prefer ordering cakes online. The cashiers are very friendly. read more

I go to giant often, because it's close to home. They have lots of parking, sales and an overall good selection on food and products. I like that they have local produce in the summer, and a marked down bin. I do have a few concerns, though: I especially like buying organically for my family, but there are few organic products. Also, there are few checkout counters open at night, and there is often a long wait. Giant is decent, not horrible, but certainly not exceptional. read more
