I frequently go to this store but I have decided not to support a store who has great cashiers but terrible management. I looked the manager straight in the eye on several times in the AM and he never says a word , always starts frowning . I saw him park his car in the handicap spot and he appears to be walking just fine. He could have an issue that is not visible , but I will no longer support a store that has the top man looking like I don't belong. read more

I have been a regular shopper with Landis since they opened . Since COVID and now more recently these past few years Landis has become like many of their larger Grocery store competitors. Over inflated prices even on damaged goods and even worse customer service. They do not seem to mind stocking items that are crushed or damaged front and center in the dairy & refrigerated sections... The youth that they hire as " cashiers" lack proper training by either rushing the customer to bag their own groceries..OR bag the customers groceries so carelessly that store bought items paid for get left behind ! I really hope in the future that our newly sworn president is successful in bringing down prices for the consumer so that grocery stores can focus on training their employees for better customer service while welcoming new customers who may be able to finally afford to buy food for their families!! read more

I went here only because I found out that my favorite gluten-free bakery sold some of their pastries here. Unfortunately, they did not have what I was looking for. However, I noticed this Supermarkets parking lot was empty and not many customers. Supermarket reminded me of a Redners, Weis and ALDIs. read more

Great little supermarket. I have never heard of or been in one until yesterday. It is clean with great selection in every department. The prices are very reasonable & the staff both friendly & helpful. The bakery is fantastic with lots of homemade pies, cakes & pastry. If I lived here it would be my favorite. If you live in the area stop in and check it out. read more

Best produce of all local grocery stores in my area! Excellent job of stocking COVID necessities! Disinfectant and paper towels and toilet paper, wipes, handsanitizer. Name brands too, not some you have never heard of. Good job Landis! read more

The Telford store sells hamburger that's red on the outside, grey and decaying on the inside. Fruits are usually rotting on the bottom of containers. Kathleen H. is correct. Service at the deli counter is terrible. read more

Do not buy meat from here! I have had 2 experiences where it was questionable! So u really want to question the freshness of the meat your eating? I think not!!! I always buy meat the same day I cook to avoid this and they did give us the money back but no one in my house wants to eat Turkey chili tonight and I invited company over. Now I have to order out! This is costing me way more than I anticipated. read more

Well I have to say their sushi rocks!!! I love it;it's a nice variety, tasty, fresh and different. The prices at this market for the area is way too high though. Their prepared meals in the deli area are not so tasty, reminds me of "hospital food". Some of the cold fresh salads are good, like the Philly potato salad and the cabbage. The Landis Supermarket in Sanatoga/Pottstown opened on March 1st, 2016 in the building formerly occupied by the Sanatoga Thriftway. The inside of the store isn't all that different from the former Thriftway. Selection of products is a little better. They have a fresh sushi bar, prepared meals to take home, a soup and salad bar, and baked goods. Prices are definitely higher than other markets in the area. They have a gas rewards program that will soon be redeemable at the "US Gas" gas station across the street from the market. After trying several of their bakery items, prepared foods, and hot foods it is safe to say that they need to improve the overall quality of these types of items. Avoid their pies as they are not the best recipes and not worth the price being charged. A supposedly fresh banana cream pie purchased recently had dark brown banana slices in it (they are obviously cutting corners when preparing such items.) They are not using real whipped cream on the tops of the pies, only a whipped type of topping. Cakes are OK, however we did recently purchase one of their Mrs. Benner's applesauce cakes and literally threw it away after trying just a little of it. It was very dry and lacking flavor. Prepared foods are hit or miss. The penne pasta and sausage in vodka sauce is very good. The spaghetti and meatballs not so much. The meatballs they are using taste like frozen meatballs and have a very mushy texture. Their hot soups and chili in the salad bar are very good and worth trying. The soups are quite possibly the best prepared food offering currently at Landis. After trying numerous prepared foods, we are going to just limit our purchases of these types of items from Landis to the soups and one or two other items we have tried. There have been too many disappointing items at this point to waste any more money trying additional things. The store does have some good sales at times, but otherwise prices are a little high. Outside the market during spring and summer months they have a limited offering of plants, flowers, and related supplies just as other local markets offer that time of year. The bulk foods section has a great variety of prepackaged dried fruits, grains, candy, nuts, and chocolate. At the end of the day, it is a great market if you need a couple of items real quick. Otherwise, selection and prices are better at some of the larger, better known markets. It would be very hard for Landis to be a one-stop shop type of store for most people. read more

The first time I went to Landis Supermarket I did it all wrong. I don't buy everything here. If you stick to their specials you will save money. I buy my meats here and my produce. Their meat is very fresh, can't beat their ground meatloaf mix. I love their poultry because you can get everything with the bone-in. Their produce is usually reasonable enough to prepare a nice salad. Specials vary weekly. I usually don't buy any prepared foods as I can bake anything I'm hungry for. My pet food and paper products are purchased elsewhere as these items are higher than most stores. Stay in the outer aisles and you will get your fresh food for less PS Suishi looks nice but I have never had it. read more

One star. Only because many times when I visit the deli I'm made to wait before a clerk acknowledges that I'm even there. I know they are busy filling the pre packed items. But sometimes I need things from the deli. It's usually the female clerks that ignore us customers. read more
