Few cashiers open on a busy Saturday morning, with absolutely no sense of urgency and they're absolutely miserable. Don't expect anyone to bag your groceries either. . . I love Giant seafood department, bakery, & their store brands are great. I specifically go there to buy their sparkling water. Coconut, mango, blueberry to name a few. Very inventive and exotic flavors. It's the best price around. The only downside is enduring the terrible lines and miserable cashiers, hence the two star review. read more

What can you really write about a typical grocery store whose offerings are pretty common? It's a 3/3.5 star kinda place, normally. On the plus side, they have decent variety and good selection in some atypical premium aisles and some of the ridiculous prices have come down over the years on "exotic" offerings in the asian aisle. And the butcher shop display is good as well and better than the packed meat. But Giant also annoys the hell out of me. First major annoyance is this stupid do-nothing supposedly-inventory scanning robot with googly eyes running around the aisles taking up space. It's obviously not doing crapola and is some toy management bought; a self-driving plastic tower, roving around like some idiotic RC car on a playground. Is there really only one of these and not an entire army? Somehow, I manage to pass by it every visit. Get the **** out of my way! I want to kick this dumb thing everytime I see it. There are more useless but expensive toys like the scanning price pistols so you can price your shit before you get to any checkout. If they love gimmicks so much, maybe they ought install ziplines up and down the aisles so people can grab things quickly on the go? Just a thought and less half-baked. Lastly, on the self-checkout, I give them credit for being the first self-checkout in this area long ago, twenty or so years back. Giant is really a monopoly of overpriced mediocrity. The lines are always crazy, getting your items bagged is a roll of the dice. The store really lacks a decent flow, the deli is too far from the other dairy items. The fruit and vegetable area is hard to navigate and hard to move around. "Delores" the self check-out lady was extremely rude and unprofessional making me not want to shop at this location anymore

This is a local Giant for me. I have great experiences in the store, especially self check out. However, my last 2 deli orders that I did at the store have been disappointing. About a week ago I placed an order for 1lb pasta salad and did my shopping. Was sent a text 15-20 later it was ready. When I went to the pick up spot there was a print out that it was out of stock, I was frustrated I waited for nothing. Today, I tried again, 1lb pasta salad. I made sure it looked full behind the counter to avoid disappointment. I did some shopping about 10-15 minutes, still not ready. Counter was handling 6-7 orders after I came back to wait for my order. After 20 minutes total between the time I placed the order, I left. I got a text 30 minutes after I left my order was ready. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I will never order anything from this deli again. They were helping the deli ticket customers but why have the ability to place mobile orders if no one will fulfill them? read more

How rude was cheddar mouth Christian in the beer department at Giant in Royersford Pa located across from taco bell/KFC..... #1 I couldnt use my government issued gun license FOR some odd reason that had my photo ID on there.... fine so my husband went to get my ID no problem... but then as he waited for my husband to return with another ID he rang other people and of course didnt ask for their ID .... once he handed me my slushy with a sticker on the top he said, "you cant drink that in here" rudely but I had no intention to drink it in there I didnt open my straw or anything so what was his insinuating about? some people really need to work on their customer service skills. The only reason we shop here is the gas points. They have now lost the convenience factor. If i have to go to Landis or God forbid, all the way to Wegman's to get what I need, what good are they? When they first came into town, they were great. Closer than Genarudi's and better pricing. So they put Genaurdi's out of business and then go downhill. The store brand HD aluminum foil is ok as is the butter, but just about everything else Giant brand is sub-par. Don't ever waste your money on a Giant brand Brie. Melting it turns it into some kind of vegetable oil slurry. So what drove me to write this review. The last straw. But some earlier straws need to be called out. The redesign, they are always inconvenient but usually after a while they're ok. This last one is a disaster. The Cooks corner, what a great concept. Who hired the rocket scientist that said this is useless, let's get rid of it and put a bunch of junk food in its place! The meats have been going down hill for years, but I'll come back to that. Bread. Kids are gone now so loafs of regular bread usually end up get fed to the birds as they go bad before we could finish the loaf. I've grown fond of a Russian Seeded Rye bread that had been at the deli counter for years now. The deli counter. There is a guy there "Joe" not his real name. He is terrible. If i get him, i let people go in front of me. One time a lady and i gave each other the wink because we know. He has no idea what he's doing or what we intend to do with the lunch meat we are buying. He should be stocking shelves. Anyway, about 3 weeks ago, my wife says they were out of my bread. 2 weeks ago, same thing. I go and it is obvious that it is discontinued and replaced with some Sandridge brand or something like that. Looks like wonder bread, not buying it. Needed another steak for dinner, it's Monday. I go to get a Flat Iron Steak, about the only beef I buy at Giant anymore. They're out. Now I have to go to LANDIS to get something, I'm annoyed. I have a friend coming for dinner. In order to save time, convenience factor, I decide to skip the beer distributor, I'll buy 2 six packs here. Get to the register, checking out. Last two items, the beer. I LOVE THIS GIANT!!! This is my favorite Giant location in the region. I have shopped here a few times a month for the last 8 years. I live in King of Prussia, and while at least 4 or 5 Giant stores are closer to my home, this is where I choose to do the majority of my shopping. It really sets the standard for what the other Giants in the region should do. This location is open 24 hours a day, and features a deli, a meat department, a bakery, a pharmacy, and a gas station. This store is clean, well stocked, and carries many items that other Giants do not carry. In short, this is a top notch store, and I love shopping here. read more

I first stopped in this Giant for the first time back on June 25th on the way back from the Limerick Outlets. I had always known of this Giant because I attend school at Ursinus College right down the street and I stopped in the Target next door a few times but I never had the chance to go to this Giant yet. When I did stop in I went food shopping and I was not disappointed! The store was very clean, the products were well stocked, they had a lot of fantastic products at decent prices, the employees were pleasant. This was all during the Covid-19 pandemic too this store handled everything very well! It's needless to say I was impressed with everything about this store and although I live a half hour away and am not in the area much, I will make it a point to return because this is my new favorite Giant! read more

I cannot stand this grocery store chain - they have high school kids with ZERO customer service skills working the check out aisles. They never bag groceries for the customers and seem generally displeased with their employment. I'll gladly pay 15% more at Wegmans for the same food - at least they care about their customers and seem happy to be working there. UGH. read more

I must admin that this is not my goto place for groceries as we shop elsewhere. But if I need to quickly pick something up mid-week, we will often stop in here. We have found the pricing here to be slightly higher than some other area grocery stores and we don't find their meat quality to be all that good. My only other complain was that they did not take AMEX cards but someone has told me that they do now. The place always seems packed and now that there is a nearby Giant gas station, you can save money on your gas if you shop here frequently. read more

While I'm not a grocery shopper per se, when I need something and I need it now, more often than not I'll come here. This store is clean and well-stocked and has a wide selection of groceries, including organic. National, regional, and store brands are all available. With another store 3 miles away at the Royersford exit of 422, Giant has a monopoly, so to speak, in this area. The Target two doors down has groceries, but they're not Giant. The closest Redner's is 5 miles, the closest Acme is 9 miles, and the closest Shop-Rite is 12 miles. So their only real competition is discount grocery stores, and if you go there you'll get what you pay for. Plus those don't have ancillary things like a pharmacy, deli, and gas rewards that Giant has, so you're better off going to Giant to begin with. The one downside is if you go there when most people grocery shop, you'd think it was in a city of 50,000 people, I'm telling you the truth. It can get to be a madhouse so pack your patience. As for the associates, some will go out of their way to make your visit painless, some will be smug and just do their job. You won't find a Kroger store in this part of the country, but that's what Giant most closely resembles. read more

This is my go-to place for groceries, but because of the crowd I try to avoid the time that people would come here after work and don't come here during the weekends. This seems to be the only grocery store in the Limerick area. They share a shopping center with Target and AC Moore, which sometimes make the parking a little scarce. The staff is very friendly and very helpful and seem to go above and beyond to help customers when compared with other Giants that I have been to. read more
