Amir always greets me with a smile and somehow remembers exactly how I like my order -- every single time. He pays great attention to his customers and top notch service by providing the order as requested which is rare these days. The quality of his work and attention to detail really stand out, and it makes the shopping experience so much smoother and more enjoyable. I am writing about Giant Direct delivery service which is being discontinued next month per our driver. As a long time customer who is not able to go to a store,we depend on the drivers who carry the heavy groceries into the home.We were never notified of the end to this valuable service and find the Giant company to be at fault.What are we to do now? I like the staff--friendly and helpful. But I'm not sure how I feel about this GIANT. The price tag seems shockingly high unless there's some promo. I do come here quite often, as it's very close to my house and I love their long hours. They used to name the Asian section Oriental, which was culturally insensitive, but fortunately they made the change recently. If I'm perfectly honest, I usually avoid this location due to its small size (and overall lack of variety when it comes to certain things I purchase. However, it IS one of the only locations in the area that participates in the Giant Gas Rewards program. Tonight was the last day of the current sale so I had come in to grab a few things that were part of the gas point promo. The worker at the self check out was great too; upon seeing I had coupons, he immediately offered to scan them and make sure all the correct amounts came off. Unfortunately, the points I was supposed to receive did not appear on my receipt so off to customer service I went! Although they were in the process of closing down (I think they had just closed the register), Heather was great. She just asked for my Bonus card and signed in to one of the registers there so that I could get my $1/gal gas points. She made it a very easy transaction and offered great customer service. Giant - New hours starting March 12, 2017 - Grocery Near Me - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

As a handicapped shopper I rely on the mobile carts or just order curbside pickup. I normally shop at the Malvern Giant on my way home from work. They started closing at 10pm so I figured I would try the Kop giant. Less than 2 miles from my home. What a dump this has turned into. It was nice when it was a guenardi's but no longer. 1st cart I tried was either broken or out of battery. 2nd cart I tried was same. A customer saw me struggling and went into store for help. By that time I used a 3rd cart, one of the older carts there. This one worked but pulled very hard to the right. It Needed a major alignment. When leaving the cart died so I grabbed my cane and regular shopping cart, loaded my stuff and limped to my car leaving the cart in the isles where it died. Shopping was ok but store is very dark. I found what I was shopping for and proceeded to check out. All they had open was self check out. This was a disappointment since Malvern has regular cashiers check you out right up until closing. The self checkout scanner could not read my iPhone max bar code. After many attempts just used my phone number on keypad. Because the bagging shelves are so small I had to keep resetting my scanned items off and on shelf to move on. Needed to get the self checkout staff 3 times to reset machine. Interesting the gentleman across from me had machine error and lady next to me had to get attendance twice. I must admit the self checkout young lady was very nice but I told her I would not shop this Giant again. If this is what the Kop Giant has devolved into it is No wonder Wegmans is kicking their butts. I will find another Giant either Malvern, or West Chester closer to work and avoid this Giant all together. read more

Now for the other part of my review. Was very disappointed with the birthday cake. The taste was delicious, but the decorating looked like a beginner did it. But my main issue was the response I got the next time I was shopping in there. I stopped by the bakery to get a baguette which there were none, it was only about 2pm and the bakery manager just happens to be out on the sales floor so I asked her if she had any, her reply was a very rude no and then started to walk away. That's when I decided to tell her about the cake. She treated me like well I can't say it here, but I felt like I was bothering her, she was very unprofessional and abrupt with me. Her response was nothing, not an I sorry. She listened then walked away. I usually get my cakes from the Trooper Giant, but it was for a party we were having at Pepper's which is right up the street. I will never ever order a cake from here again. Can I also say the bakery looked dingy I was very happy with all other departments but when will heavy whipping cream be in, seems like it's always empty. read more

This place is a disgrace. When it was Genuardis and even the first few years of giant it was clean, well maintained and had a nice staff. Now almost every cart is broken and can barely be pushed, hot bar food sits all day and is dried up and never cleaned. Store and parking lot are filthy. Management should be replaced. Shopping at this Giant is a last resort for me. I will always find what I need here but the experience is just miserable - terribly depressing lighting, price tags that have been expired for weeks, products that ring up at a price different from the sticker, unapproachable and unfriendly employees, and long lines. The store is one notch above Walmart, which doesn't say much. Produce is often rotten and I've had to return several items. I've also taken products home only to find out they were expired. There are far better grocery stores close by - Wegmans, Aldis, Whole Foods, etc. Don't be fooled by sales or low sticker prices - make sure they ring up correctly! Today, I stood at the meat/seafood counter waiting to be acknowledged by the employee behind the counter but he did everything he could to avoid assisting me. It amazes me that they closed the St. David Giant pharmacy but left this one open. I wonder how long before they close this one. I transferred my prescription to this one instead of the Wayne Cvs hoping there would be a smooth continuity and also because of the customer care I was receiving. Either the pharmacist at St. David was so exceptional and helpful that made the Henderson giant look so bad or they just suck and don't care nor have any empathy or desire to help. It's truly sad. It's bad enough that we gotta deal with crazy insurance games, now we gotta deal with a non caring non helpful non empathetic pharmacy team. I will nominate you guys for the pharmacy of the year award ..... NOT ! I didn't understand why they closed St David Giant pharmacy but I certainly will understand if they close this one. I grabbed two bags of potato chips because they were buy one get one free. When I went to pay, they did not come up with the correct price. I told the cashier that they were buy one get one free. We both walked to the aisle to verify the price. Unfortunately, the buy one get one free price on the shelf had expired 3 weeks ago. He stated that the pricing manager had not been in recently. He was willing to give me the price, but told me I would have to pay now and come back in the morning when there's someone at customer service to get my refund for the difference. This has to be the worst Giant in the entire corporation. Pharmacy is especially bad. Phoned in a prescription on a Sunday evening - told me it would be ready Monday at 5 PM. No Problem - or so I thought. Got a text at 5 PM on Monday telling me the med was out of stock. No info about when to expect it in; nothing. Waited two days - still nothing. Went into the store. Was told it was still out of stock, and they didn't know when it would be in. I waited until Friday until I went in again. Still the same excuse! I asked if they could check another Giant in the area to see if they had the med in stock. They advised me that both Plymouth Meeting and Conshy had it. I told them either would work. Did they make a call for me and order it for me? Of course not. I went home, phoned the Plymouth Meeting store and was helped by a lovely young lady. Two hours later I had my medication. The difference in the staff (and the pharmacy itself) was night and day. You would think that KOP would have made the call and advised me once they knew they didn't have the med in stock and didn't know when they would. No, they kept me waiting an entire week! Had I not inquired as to what other Giant might have the med in stock, I'd still be waiting. However, the Pharmacy is only one part of this location. (By the way, I don't think this was ever a Genuardi store; while originally planned to be a Genuardi store, the sale to Giant took place while this location was still under construction. It opened as a Giant from the beginning.) In any event, unless it is an emergency situation where I need to get an item or two, I avoid this location at all costs. Plymouth Meeting is amazing, as is the Giant on Route 322 in State College. Those stores are next-level. The KOP store is bottom of the barrel. read more

Giant is losing 2 stars! What's up with their prices lately? When I moved to this area a year ago, both lemons and avocados were significantly cheaper than they are now. Lemons have gone up by $0.50. Also, their grass-fed ground beef has become more expensive as well, by $1. I used to come here because I could spend less for more; slowly, but surely, this is not the case any longer. Lately I find myself shopping at Wegman's more and more often, and I haven't spend more dollars than what I would spend at Giant. Another weird thing: some staff members aren't as friendly (mostly new people), and some of the older ones stopped saying hello altogether. I'll keep Giant as my emergency store, as I live down the street, but I dread going here lately and do most of my shopping at Wegman's. read more

This is my first and only one star review. I was in the KOP area and needed to stop into a grocery store. I usually shop at other Giant's so I stopped in to the KOP location. It seemed dark and dirty to me. I picked up a few items and couldn't find quite what I was looking for. The prices seemed really high to me. One Item had a low price, but it was on sale... Over a week ago... I put all of my items down and left the store, remembering that there was a Wegman's in the area. read more

Shop here because I love the friendly Starbucks staff. The supermarket as a while needs new - more engaged management. The deli it's slow and under trained. Seafood area has dead lobsters unless they are all sleeping. They are failing the local community in value forcing me to go back to wegmans. Plus the offer so much more options in the fresh areas. read more

Just moved to the area. I like that it right down the street but man, the folks that shop there have their heads so far up everyone else bottoms. My 1st trip....in 8 months pregnant with a wild 3 yr old son who after 4 hours of fit throwing winter clothes shopping at the mall, I had to scold him by the time we got here. He threw his coat in a puddle because i would let him sit in the Express cart. Some woman flipped out, started twitching and accused me of abusing my son who "clearly is in great need of something." I dont really feel sitting in a cart I'll s a great need. Another woman chimed in and told me to take parenting class. So no I did not stop him when we ended up.in line behind them and he proceeded to knock over a stack of kombucha bottles and call one a ugly old buttcheek. 2nd trip, i parked in the spot for expectant moms...as again I am 8 months pregnant. This old guy stands behind my car staring. By the time I get my purse and get out, he is standing at the front of the doors STARING me up and down, not moving. Being 8 months pregnant having a guy scan me like this was freaky and weird so.i threw him a look a d asked if I needed to call the police. He went to tell me those spots are for pregnant women and I need to move. I get that its 25 degrees out and my crippling baby bump appears non existent underneath my parka but...... Um............ I think im going to do the drive back to the one in Conshohocken from now on. People around here are creeping me out to the point driving into that center makes me feel uneasy. You can feel yourself being watched like crazy.. and I think it's the snoots of KoP scared Norristown folk are coming over or something, when I never even lived there. read more

Dont go shopping here on the weekends, it's literally impossible. All of the aisles turn into long lines waiting for a cashiers to open up in addition to the wrap around half the store line for self checkout which you may get confused for lines to all the registers (as it was in the beginning of the pandemic) By the time you leave the store, the milk you just bought will be spoiled. read more

Half of the produce has mold, is damaged, or is close to expiring, and you'll find better variety in acme or wegman's. They didn't have many lanes open, and 4 aisles reaked of bad shrimp due to the seafood basis all being left open and the bread section smelled heavily of garbage. This (the KOP) store is really lowest food prices in KOP, well-stocked, clean, friendly, plus there's a woman who is one of the meat dept. employees who really, really knows her meats! These are our neighbors who work there, why would you want to post such nasty reviews? You should all be thankful you have access to a U.S. grocery store in the first place and be thankful you have something to feed your family, not complain and bring down the local, neighborhood grocery store - where the prices are the lowest in KOP! I love this store and can't imagine why it has such low stars. They have excellent produce, including a good selection of organic foods, produce and otherwise. You can get in and get out quickly and the staff is generally good, with some very good and friendly. When I moved close to this store I assumed I'd prefer Wegman's and Whole Foods, but both are further away and Giant is perfect for my everyday shopping needs. read more

This store lacks a sufficient amount of open registers. I have had to check out an entire cart full of groceries at the self check out lane because of the long lines at the 2 open registers. Yet, store employees are seen wandering around the store doing nothing when they could open up additional registers. I have recently experienced problems with fruit. Grapes that taste sour and a bag of apples where 1/2 the bag was rotten. Beware. Overall, I only stop here when I need a few quick items. Otherwise, I shop at Wegmans. Wegmans keeps plenty of registers open, no waiting, and I have never had problems with fruit purchased at Wegmans. read more

The store is clean, the staff working in most departments are helpful, the cashiers have a bit of customer service training to do. Perishable items are fresh and well displayed. The meat department looks like it's under new leadership. The set up of the store is odd, it's takes some getting used too. You can tell it's changing from one owner to another, can't wait until it's more like a Giant. read more

I thought this store would get better with time, well I was wrong. I've been going to my starter Giant in Blue Bell which is out of my way just for better service and a nicer store. I tried this store, Henderson, again today for I live in Bridgeport, well it's still the same. I only needed two things and the lottery and it's still just as un-approachable. The hot food in the Deli area has gotten sloppy and my deli purchase was miss labeled. I didn't go back to complain for my purchase was small but they really need to get it together. I wish they had more competition in this area. It's a shame Bottom Dollar closed for it was some place else to go for a short list. read more

I've been meaning to update this review after an experience I had here back in the spring. I had originally had given this Giant an additional star because of the people who worked there, well they worked hard to lose it. Had the most bizarre experience at their deli counter, I was waiting with a few other customers at the deserted deli counter. We could hear the employees in the back talking so we knew they were there. Suddenly one of them pops out, sees the 3 of us standing there. She then proceeded return to the back and say in a very loud (but not yelling) voice, so we all could hear, "I'm on break!!" . The women who was waiting next to and I just looked at each other and said did that just happen???. Well after waiting a couple more minutes someone finally did venture out and help us (though not the woman who was "on break"). That and add to the fact they never ever have enough check-outs open (it's very common to see lines 5-6 people deep) waiting at the register, this place lost it's bonus star. This is the WORST Giant I have ever shopped at. read more

Had to go to Giant tonight - rare occurrence since Wegman's and home delivery became better options for me. There was one lane open and another person "working" self check out. There were so many of us with enough in our carts that self check was limiting. The person who was working the register seemed to be in training with limited support . The line extended across into the aisle.there appeared to be 3 other people that could have worked a register. Please Giant management, have more than one aisle open in addition to self check out. read more

I go to this store only when I need to go to the CVS next door. It really is getting worse and worse. Had a terrible experience today. Went to the sandwiches "made to order" area and tried to order the "Little Italy Panini" sandwich advertised on the sign. First the guy says, can you read me the ingredients cuz I don't know what's on it...I'm like um, ok. I'm reading them off and he's writing it in sharpie on a piece of paper. Then he says, we don't have any panini bread, and in my head I'm thinking -this is a grocery store, can't you just walk the 100ft over to the bread section and get it- but I just took some other kind of bread. Then he says, this will take me like 10 minutes or more because I have to slice it all myself, we don't have anything presliced, "we don't make that many sandwiches". Really? I wonder why? So, I just cancelled that order, I could tell that wasn't going to be a great sandwich. What is the point of this part of the store? Then I went to check out and apparently they are changing the aisles and this aisle which was not a self-checkout had a self-checkout like bag carousel at the end of it. The checker says to me, I can't use your bags because I don't have anywhere to put the groceries, "I guess you didn't see that we changed things". Again, I'm like, huh? I look up to see if I have inadvertently gotten into the 7 items or fewer aisle, but I hadn't. I'm thinking but not saying, -just put my bags on the carousel and bag the friggin' groceries. She then knocks my bag of bags off of the top of the carousel (she had put them there) and says to me "your bags fell on the floor" and motions for me to pick them up. All of this while I'm still emptying my cart on to the conveyor. I ended up having to bag my own groceries in my own bags as she watched me because she basically refused to due to their "new setup". Is this what they meant to have happen? I could have done all of this a lot easier myself in self-checkout had I selected the self-checkout aisle, but I didn't. What a lazy, lazy, rude, cashier. Seriously, this store needs some major help. I can't imagine it will last much longer with this kind of lousy service. read more

I've lived in KoP my entire life and am so disappointed with the store since it has become a Giant. There's only ever kind staff in the bakery and a young woman named Erika who is always willing to help me when I'm in the store. The produce is never fresh and the meat selection is incredibly poor and over-priced. Although it's a quick 5 minute ride from my home, I'll always take the time to run to Acme for meat and then to Wegman's for everything else. Plus, pallets on the floor during regular business hours? Floor sets should be completed during late night hours when customers are scarce ; it makes for awkward maneuvering around the store otherwise. read more

Never enough or any cashiers - but lots of employees mulling around. Many times I have to ring up my own groceries at self checkout, even when there isn't any employee stationed there. Self checkout is a joke - some manufacturer coupons and no store coupons work at those checkouts. Trying to get someone to help you at self checkout is nearly impossible. This morning, like many others, I was told I could come back later when there was someone that could help me ring in the coupons. I am always overcharged either because something doesn't come up correctly at the register or because of the coupon issues. Aldi is looking better and better to me. read more
