They were very neat and courteous!! We did have one issue which I was fearful would be contentious. My wife and I were so pleased by how it was handled. Giant was very concerned with our issue and they took immediate steps to resolve it. A technician Eric came to our house on a Friday before a holiday weekend and remained late in the evening to fix the issue. He was extraordinarily pleasant and stated several times that he "wanted to make things right."We were so incredibly impressed with this absolute gentleman. we have a small yard in Manchester and have used giant landscaping in the past. This year I called asking for a spring cleanup. I wanted to get the beds edged, and new mulch added. I was told we'd get the most bang for our buck choosing pay by the hour option. They sent five guys at $90 per hour for each person. Beware. They charged my credit card without sending the invoice. We had no idea how much it would be and our checking account was overdrawn twice! The total bill was over $2400. Definitely not what we were expecting, and we will never do business with them again. get an estimate and don't give them your cc info until you see the bill!! read more

Used Giant Landscaping for a shed pad since my yard slopes off from the driveway. The guys asked what they were supposed to do when they got there because they had no idea it was even for a shed. When they were done there was no wall or rocks or anything to hold the pad. First time it rained it quickly started washing away. Disappointed to say the least. And yes, it was Giant Landscaping that did the job. read more

Got their hydro seeding this spring. Held off on a review until we got some results. The results were uneven spraying leading to what you could barely call a lawn. As I watched the Giant hydro seed sprayers unevenly spray the seed I thought to myself....one day that will be a bare spot on my front lawn and sure enough...it is! I'm not 100% sure they just didn't come spray weeds on my freshly spread loam, in hopes I'd call them back for weed care. I followed the instructions to a T and never missed a single watering. Some grass came in, but it wouldn't have taken a rocket scientist to see that their initial spray was poorly and hastily done. I'd also like to mention the price fixing occurring by all lawn care companies that offer hydro seeding. I called 8 companies in town and some how they all have the exact same price. Shocker. I'd be willing to bet this is an agreed upon price they have all set together. Also known as price fixing. Look elsewhere for you hydro seeding needs. read more

We are a new customer of Giants and I cannot praise them enough! There sprin cleanup was done in a timely manner. Their team did an excellent and thorough job! Our property looked great! We have also used them for other landscaping. My questions were answered and Jeff was honest And provided guidance! This is a TOP-NOTCH operation. You will feel like you are dealing with a "family business", not one of those massive, industrial, couldn't-care-less huge companies (that honestly prefer to do huge commercial big-contract jobs vs. residential properties). Bottom line: they treat you like family. They show up when they say they are going to, they do an amazing job, and the team leader on-site calls you from his cell phone (during the job!) to give you an update, or to discuss any problems or extra work you might want to have done while they are there. Don't even bother calling anyone else. Giant is the absolute best. I couldn't be more impressed. We are now customers for life. read more

The first portion of my landscaping project involved removing some small dead trees and unwanted overgrown shrubs. They also amazingly took my small 8x8 shed from the front yard, lifted it over the fence and put it into the back yard in an area that they cleaned up and got ready for it. Upon excavation and cleanup of the part of the yard the shed was on they hit a snag. Seems there was an old gray well or unknown abandoned concrete storage tank that the bobcat fell down onto when the soil collapsed. Giant Landscaping pumped out the water, removed the concrete blocks and filled the area with stone before spreading new loam. The increased cost for that mishap was fair and reasonable. Two days later, hydroseed was put down on all disturbed areas. Thus far, I am extremely impressed with the skilled labor that was brought here to take care of things. Looking forward now to the spring clean-up and edging/mulching of my front yard gardens happening within a week. read more

Unfortunately my experience with Giant Landscaping was very disappointing. I sent two emails to two different people asking if they could provide aeration & seeding anytime after the week of Sept 19 when I would arrive back in town and could water our new seed. No reply. I called and confirmed the week of Sept 19 with Hayley, only to receive a call the next day from Charlene saying they were coming Sept 7. I called back about the mistake and left a voicemail. No response. I called again and spoke with someone who assured me the mistake had been remedied- they would not come until after Sept 19. On Sept 8, the day before our trip, one of the owners, Jeff, showed up and started aerating despite my efforts. I went outside and asked him to please stop as there had been a mistake on their end. He was rude and unapologetic. He said he was already done aerating (had been aerating for around 10 minutes and they charge $195). Disappointing experience all around. Waiting to see if they make things right. UPDATE 9/28/22: Giant Landscaping took $100 off of my bill and offered their sincerest apologies. read more

If I Yelp would allow zero stars I wouldn't even give 1. Giant Landscaping gave me one quote for a price after having employees walk my property, did the job and billed my credit card for over $200 more. When speaking with the owner he said they can't be held to the quote despite his employees saying how much labor and material it would take. He proceeded by encouraging me to fight the credit card bill as "they would get their money no matter what". While the job they did on my lawn was nice they clearly don't care about customer service or saying whatever it takes to charge you. In addition it well over 3 weeks for them to finally arrive and do the job after telling me multiple times it was delayed the entire week due to rain even though it had only rained once during the week. I encourage you to find a lawn care company who won't treat you this poorly! read more

I called Giant to schedule a yard cleanup and from my first conversation I knew I would be in for a superior customer experience. The associate on the phone paid attention to the details and quickly got me setup with an appointment that was promised within two days. They defied this expectation by showing up the next day. The team lead kindly had me show him around and confirm all the things I needed done. The team worked incredibly efficiently and the results were worth the asking price. Their workmanship is second to none and they stand behind their work. 6 years after my father's walkway was installed by Giant, we called to hire Giant to re-level the pavers and fix the small dips that was allowing water to pool. They came over two days later, re-leveled, compacted the surface and fixed the pavers free of charge. read more

It has been an amazing experience having Giant Landscaping recently remove 3 giant boulders that were buried in our yard. Giant then leveled my grounds, applied new loam and sprayed on grass which turned out absolutely beautiful. Last year Giant put in a beautiful patio and granite steps for us and it came out gorgeous. We couldnt have asked for a nicer group of professionals to redo my yard. Whenever we need anything done outside we will always call Giant if we want it done right. The price was the best of the three estimates that we received for the amount of work we had done. read more

I didn't call Giant until we were already well into Spring, so they were quite booked already to do a large lawn repair based on my description of what was going on with it. However, I went on to explain that I had a patio installed and I would like to at least improve the look around that so we could enjoy the patio this summer. The girls who work in the office are wonderful. After listening carefully and looking at schedules, I was told perhaps Jeff, the owner, could stop by and take a look. Jeff was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. He arrived and immediately began to advise me on how to begin right away doing things that would improve my lawn. He made his way to the backyard and when he saw the patio he could see it had been installed about 4" too low into the ground. This was causing the patio to fill with water each time it rained. It would then sit in the patio, as if a pool, and had no way to drain out. He explained exactly what they would do to resolve the problem. It would be a one day fix. He sent out a team of 3 men (Paul, Alex, and Michael) who were terrific. Very hard working and very nice. They excavated around the patio, dropping the grade a bit. They used that soil to raise the area around the back corner of the patio. Then they placed river rock to create a drip edge around the foundation and the back and right side of the patio. And, since I had wanted some sort of plants to enhance the look around the patio, they planted 4 rhododendrons, 2 on each back corner of the patio. It looks very nice and now, when it rains, it drains perfectly! No more floating patio! read more

I had a deck removed and a sunroom built in the back of my house. The original builders never graded out where the old deck was, and the rain water would constantly pool under the deck which cause the deck to rot out and caused a problem with the foundation to my garage. I knew that on 3 sides of the sunroom it needed to be graded out, because there was a serious problem of sloping on all 3 sides of the sunroom. The owner of the company came out to inspect what needed to be done and within a week, Eric & Miguel came to do the job. Not only did they grade out the 3 sides by the sunroom but also graded the side to my garage.They did a fantastic job with the grading and putting down loom and a lot more pebbles where it was needed for it to be leveled off. After putting in the loom they also seeded it. The truck came by and picked up all the extra pebbles that wasn't needed for the job and then Eric finished cleaning up with a blower to remove any dirt leftover from where the pebbles was in the driveway. Called to get an estimate for trimming of arborvitaes, job is north of $1k. The lady who took my call refused to have someone come by, said they did it by the hour. Finally after explaining the scope of the work, she said that they are two weeks out before someone can come by to look at the job and told me that was too long for me. It was such a struggle to deal with this person I had to question whether she wanted this work. I called to follow up a few weeks later and was told the trees were too high (even though I explained this on the first call) and she laughed as she said she probably should have called me back but just forgot. I laugh at Giant at the amount of commercial jobs they just lost due to the grossly unqualified person answering their phone. read more

A few months ago, we got some landscaping quotes from Greenworks in Hudson and Giant Landscaping. We went with Greenworks and were really disappointed with the terrible job the final outcome. After several attempts to reach out to them to correct it and no action, we reached back out to Giant Landscaping for help and they were amazing! They did a phenomenal job and their customer service was top notch! I only wish we had gone with them in the first place - it would have saved us a lot of money, time and frustration.
