After meeting with 8 of the areas tree removal companies, I could tell right away that Todd was someone who was going to do exactly what he said he said he was going to do. Which is not a feeling I got from most of the other tree removal companies we met with. I don't know about you, but that is very important to me for a job & a cost of this size. Todd promptly returned my calls, spent over an hour with us discussing the scope of work, and provided me a competitive rate. Our job required a large crane to be placed on our property. Todd's professional crew used large crane mats to limit the effects on the lawn, which was a fear of mine, but it looks much better than I expected after they finished. The job took a day and a half from start to finish. They started on time and worked efficiently and safely. They cleaned up all of the brush & logs, swept up all of the debris and fully cleaned our property and street as it looked before they arrived. We chose to not have the stumps removed at this time. Something we did not think about was the effects on the wildlife that used these trees. One tree contained a squirrel nest with 2 baby squirrels in it. The crew handled them gently and took the time to bring them to a local rescue center to rehome them back into the wild. Todd's entire staff was friendly and professional. There were no surprises along the way and everything was done exactly as they said it would be done. We're especially thankful he did--because when the Dig Safe team arrived to mark the area, one of them smelled gas. She immediately contacted Liberty Utilities, and when they came to inspect, they discovered a leak in our furnace, which had been installed just three years ago. Liberty Utilities promptly shut off the gas, and we had a plumber come in to make the necessary repairs. Thankfully, everything was fixed and the gas was safely turned back on within four days. Tried heavy trimming but to no avail. They had to come down. I had many solicitors over the past two years, offering a wide range of solutions with a wide range of costs. Unfortunately, I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I happened upon Maguire's Family Tree Service through a glance at Facebook community page, along with several other tree services. I contacted all of them and they all responded, but when Joe (Maguire) came out, he offered me many options with solid costs for each option. He was down to earth and I liked his presentation. He doesn't have some of the large 'toys' that others have, but he has grit, determination and a good eye for the job. I researched for reviews and couldn't find much, but I still hired his company. His office staff (Felicia, the missus) is extremely competent and efficient. They showed up 3 hours late so residents had to drive around for hours, only to return to less parking spaces because they dump snow in them. The premises are uncleared and dangerous. They do not plow the main driveways and simply dump snow into parking spaces. They leave dangerous ice all over the entrances and stairs. The snowcat and plow trucks just sit there obstructing everything. Dangerous and should be sued when someone slips.

Within four hours I had a free quote in hand at a very good price. The other services I contacted either, charged $50.00 for a quote, did not bid, scheduled someone to show up to quote six days out or were to small to do the job. Once I got back to Carl he scheduled a day to do the job and arrived as promised on the day agreed on. The crew was fantastic working together as a team, and had the two trunk, 60 foot willow tree along with two 25 foot maples gone within 6 hours - all with minimal space between neighboring homes. In less than a week, the grass flattened by heavy equipment was back, and there was no other evidence of their having been there. Super impressive.
