Been through a lot of changes, owners, tennis pro's etc. It has always been a nice environment - clean, bright and friendly...but now with Frank and his family at the helm - it is exceptionally great! They care about the club more than any other owner/operator in years - and it shows! It is gleaming... There are always new programs to get involved with if you are interested. The staff is second to none...the nicest and most welcoming of all tennis clubs in the area! Same for the Tennis Pro's...a huge difference between them and Pro's at other clubs...so pleasant and knowledgable - ready to help you with your game if you are interested. He was so incredibly rude, sexist, and miserable. My family spends so much money there and knows a lot of families who go there. I will be leaving and looking at Trumbull or Westport and taking our children to play at other facilities as well. Place is in poor condition and it's not even that cheap compared to other facilities. The best tennis pro just left for Westport.

During that visit, the staff were accommodating and allowed our students to remain in their own shoes. So when we returned, we reasonably expected the same level of understanding and accommodation. Instead, we were flat-out refused. Even more frustratingly, when we explained that the staff had accommodated our students during our previous visit, we were essentially told that it didn't matter. Apparently, basic consistency and consideration are too much to ask. But that wasn't even the worst part. When we arrived, the kitchen was closed. One of our students had intentionally skipped lunch at school because he was excited about getting something to eat at the bowling alley. Rather than let him go hungry, we ordered him Burger King through DoorDash. When the food arrived, the staff had the audacity to DEMAND that our special needs student eat his food OUTSIDE. Let that sink in. A child with special needs, who was there on a school outing, was told that he couldn't eat his own food inside. Meanwhile, just a few lanes away, another group was openly eating cake they had apparently brought with them. They appeared to know the staff and were chatting with them comfortably. So apparently the rules depend on who you are. Friends of the staff can bring food in and eat it inside, but a special needs student who needs something to eat because your own kitchen is closed has to take his meal outside? That is beyond disappointing. It is humiliating, insensitive, and completely unacceptable. We brought students there expecting a fun and inclusive experience. Instead, we left feeling like our students were being treated as an inconvenience simply for needing a little understanding and accommodation. If this is how you treat children with special needs, especially children who are there as part of a school outing, you should seriously reconsider how you train your staff and how you treat your customers. Absolutely shameful. I would strongly encourage other schools and families of children with special needs to think twice before choosing this establishment

It is a year round tennis and paddle club with excellent instruction for both adults and children. The summer is great for racquet sports and enjoying the pool. It also has a great lunch spot w/food, drinks and snacks all day. I have 3 boys who have been playing tennis here for years and spend everyday in the summer taking clinics and hanging out w/their friends. My husband and I met a number of couples who have become our best friends. The owner, pros and staff here are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It is, by far, the best year round club on the shoreline.
