I had absolutely the worst experience with this company gouging me with costs after a claim was…read moremade by an unprofessional and misleading adjuster. After twenty years of never making a claim, I had a pipe burst and decided to call the insurance company. They sent over an adjuster who completely mislead me to make two more claims on the same day based on other issues he observed in my house. The adjuster didn't put them all in on the same day because he is paid by the number of visits he makes. He put it into the system as if he had come back on multiple days. The adjuster told me that my rates would not increase significantly. I directly asked him about this. He told me that my rates will only go up about $100 to $200 per year. My rates went from $1200 per year to $2700. It was because the adjuster put in 3 claims for me. The 3 claims also made it impossible for me to leave this insurance for another. I had to wait 3 years before I could switch or 3 years until Lititz would lower my rate. When they did lower my rate, it only went down to $1880.00. The new insurance I am moving to is giving me the same coverage at $1223.00 per year. When trying to work through this issue, they were extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. The people involved never called me back so I had to keep calling and calling and calling. When I did get someone, a person who's last name is the almost the same as the first, told me it was my word against the adjuster and they were siding with him even though I had never made a claim in 20 years and then suspiciously made three claims over three days. All of this because some adjuster wanted some extra cash in his pocket. Avoid this place like it has the plague. In fact, I have been hesitant to post this review until I found new insurance. They are so unprofessional and rude to their customers that I feared they might just drop me out of spite. I hope this helps guide someone.
