The new menu is horrible.. The appetizers are NOT shareable and not worth the money. The "Fried Pickles" is actually a full pickle cut in 4 count them 4 spears and served soggy with ranch for $9... 4 pickle spears for $9. Glad I didn't have 5 people in my party ordering appetizers to share.. Your "sliders" - a full burger cut in pieces, with translucent piece of cheese on a bun.. no pickles for garnish, nothing, including no taste.. Not worth the money. read more

I'm totally done with this place. Come for lunch order same things each time and every time the amount is different. Informed the young lady who said she was a manager and she couldn't have been more rude. I was trying to get to the bottom of why it was different. Instead it was blame everyone else. Because of her and her attitude my much group will NOT return. Bowling seems fun for families, I have eaten here and heard league bowler complain that they return week after week spend lots of money but never receive any type of special or drink deal. Sad to hear. Glad I bowl elsewhere Food is pretty good. Had 15 people over and rented 4 lanes for 2 hours @ $25 an hour. Had drinks and pizzas only. There was no wait staff. We had to go and get our own drinks, place and pickup our own orders. There was no slide on lanes (sticky) and when asked if they would clean them for us, they stated that they do not clean them during summer. Charged 20% gratitudity for food/drinks and LANES FEES(?) and no service. Not doing that ever again. read more

The Gibby's website says it is a upscale restaurant... only thing that is upscale are the prices... All the food is frozen not fresh.. it's shipped from a vendor just like schools and hospitals use. The Gibby's site also says it's a great place to work and to start a fulfilling career!!! They pay terribly (8.50 an hour) and not much more for the single cook they have on staff.... not only don't they pay well they struggle to even pay employees correctly because the lady that does payroll has some issues I guess... checks are always off (sometimes by hundreds of dollars).... I'm not a disgruntled employee I honestly just feel they are taking advantage of this town by serving cheap food at ridiculously high prices and treat staff like crap, which is why they are always hiring. read more

The food is mostly good yet the salad bar pretty mediocre and service hit or miss. We used to be regulars and love the pizza yet went yesterday with a group of 8 and got auto charged a 30 percent tip with no notice and the posted 3 percent for using a credit card. That is absurd. My $27 bill for two meals (one crappy salad bar and one chicken sandwich) was almost $40 with extra fees. We won't go back and will be warning friends and family. Not acceptable.. read more

I was so excited to go bowling with my friends and to get the opportunity to try out this bowling alley as I am new to the area. I love the building, it has so much going for it! There is a huge bar and always a big crowd. Very high energy! Sadly, the staff didn't seem to be too happy to be working there much less to have to deal with customers. The prices were ridiculous and I will probably never go back unless someone else is paying because I am simply not comfortable spending that much for such a short amount of fun. My ball kept getting stuck in our lane and the family next to us was really rude and kept muttering things about us under their breath. My biggest complaint is the giant "no outside food or drink" sign. I cannot eat gluten or dairy and I am a vegetarian. There is literally nothing on the menu that is safe for me to eat. I will bring in a snack if I want to. Overall a very unpleasant experience. read more

Service was fair, but the speed of service was bad. Been 2 years since I have been here because service was slow. Yesterday it took 1.5 hours to get a pizza, very disappointing. At the end of the meal, we asked the server what took so long..."ran out of pizza dough". Service is hit, and miss. Might be another 2 years before I go back. read more

This is the best Pizza in the area, and the open area in the bar is a welcome feeling. They have a great menu, and the staff is always aware of what's going on around them. I would highly recommend this place for a night out for two, or the whole family. read more

Maybe this place is somewhere you go to bowl and drink alcohol more than eat food. Arrived at 4:30; older waitress/bartender made us feel like she'd rather be behind the bar than helping with us. When she delivered the food I wanted to ask for a side ranch but she took off as quick as she could. Never came back to offer a refill on my soda; working in the industry, fountain pop is cheap and restaurants charge a lot so the least a server can do is provide refills. Coleslaw tasted like it had gone bad and they covered it with paprika (I think). I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was rubbery. What was the most irritating was her not be able to split the bill for some reason. I told her we were separate and she grudgingly responded, "the bill?" Yes the bill. She came back with everything on the same bill and told us to divide it by 2 and that mine was 2.75 more than my friends. What?? I was paying with cash and my friend a card. If there was a zero star review it would be more accurate. I've been here 3-4 times the last time I was here we sat for over a half hour before anyone even realized we were there, we went and got our own menus and no one ever did come to serve our party of 9. We walked out and swore we would never go back. About a year later we decided to try going back to bowl. We made a reservation and when we arrived about 5 minutes before the reservation time they told us they didn't see our reservation, all the lanes were full and it would be at least a half hour. Used this place for a kids birthday party. Building is nice, the equipment seems to be top of the line. Pizzas are good too. The service is the letdown. We booked our party weeks in advance and they were not ready for use. The room was not set up, and a mess. We asked to get the kids started on bowling and it took another 20 min to get to it. This is now a half hour into 2hr party. When to order the pizzas and remind them that it was part of our package. Got 2 pitchers of soda (also part of package) 30-40 minutes for the pizzas. Got the kids into eat and do gifts. Had to get refills on soda myself. Staff never bothered to check in or talk to us except to ask for payment. Then add mandatory gratuity charge. Place has potential if it can get its act together. read more

Terrible bar tenders, not friendly at all. My advice also is to have someone designated to setting up bowling vs taking a bar tender to check people in. We waited 5 minutes to get shoes to bowl. There were piles of dirty shoes on the check in counter which obviously is not very attractive to the eye. I waited at the bar for a drink for 10 minutes before giving up and going back to the lanes, sad part is the bar was not very busy. The one good part about the night was a hardworking new server who came to check on us and serve us drinks at our lanes, 15 minutes into bowling the manager sent her home for the night. After that good server was gone, not a single employee came to ask us if we needed anything which we obviously did. We live in between Hudson and New Richmond and we now know we will always be going to Hudson. We are very disappointed in the experience. read more

I am very disappointed and will never return . My husband went bowling with our special needs son at Gibbys earlier today . My son is disabled and can't put his fingers in the holes of his bowling ball so he's developed his own two handed style which works well for him . He has bowled this way for numerous years at numerous bowling alleys in Minnesota through Special Olympics and in Turtle Lake at Spare Time where the owner will come and watch him bowl frequently and encourage him . Never once has my son damaged anything and if he did I certainly would offer to pay for it . Well today my sons Memorial Day was shattered. After only about 15 minutes of bowling my husband was tapped on the shoulder and told by the owner of Gibbys that my son couldn't bowl " that way" Despite my husbands attempt to explain my sons disability and physical inability to bowl any other way , the owner was insistent and my son and husband had to leave . My only conclusion is that he is either discriminating against disabled people or he built one really cheap bowling alley . I'll leave that decision up to you but I certainly will never go there again read more

I was in the other day and it was a Friday morning.. It was really slow and I had to wait 20 min to get a lane (she was too busy laughing with another worker clearly ignoring I was there) and the person blew up at me for wanting to order food. Then maybe 30min later our lane stopped working and so I walked up to her and asked her to fix or lane and she said "would you like me to make your food or fix the lane?" We waited over an hour to get our food (it was a cheese pizza) and she wasn't nice at all to my kids. I tried calling to speak to the owner about this and they said they would call back and I never heard from them. Not very friendly people that work at Gibbys. Would not recommend for a family place. read more
