Ordered a Deluxe Standing Spray for a Family Funeral through FTD and this is the Florist who got my order. I was shocked that the arrangement was not the deluxe arrangement and wasn't even comparable to a standard arrangement..very sparse and sloppy...nowhere near the amount of flowers advertised! Really dirty business doing that to grieving people! I paid top price for bottom of the barrel flowers! This seems to be the norm...bait and switch! And as far as flower substitution, that wasn't the case here, other than the zero white daisies, the rest of the flowers were just cut down to bare minimum...sparsely slapped together...and this is with ordering 4 days prior to the visitation/funeral! This arrangement was for the wife of a local firefighter. Shameful! Tell me that is a $180 arrangement! read more

I received an arrangement for my birthday. It turned out to be from Gibsonia Florist. The delivery was a comedy of errors. Not due to anyone's fault. Just an incredible missed delivery. The driver likely rang my doorbell when I was in my garage preparing to leave. I did not hear it. I noticed a van as I pulled out, but no signage to identify it as a florist. So I drove off. It was delivered @ 4:00 pm. I got a call from the gift giver a bit after 7:00 pm. asking me if I'd been outside that day. Needless to say the flowers were on my front porch & had been for 3 hours. Temps were at least 80 deg. I brought the flowers inside. There were a few limp flowers but the arrangement was still beautiful. They were so fresh & of such good quality they survived. They are still beautiful 3 days later. read more

Flowers delivered were NOT representative of the flowers I ordered online. When I contacted Gibsonia Flowers, they pointed to their policy of "replacing at their discretion". I replied, "That's fine! As long as the bouquet is of equal quality and value!" But it was NOT. What a scam. The florist knows they will likely get away with whatever they "choose" to deliver, knowing the patient certainly won't complain even if they could. As an out-of-town customer, I paid online in advance -- and I typically would not get to see what was delivered. But in this case I was sent a photo from my sister of the actual arrangement and I was so upset and completely EMBARRASSED! It literally looked like a small bunch of flowers was picked up from the grocery store and plunked into a vase. No finesse or attempt to make it look anything like the selection I ordered. I paid a premium ($108!) for a full, robust arrangement. The photo I selected from showed no less than 5-6 roses just on the one side, so you know the other side would be designed to match. However, the vase my mother received contained 3 roses and little more. And when I was told by the florist that "you don't understand...we don't get what you paid...the hospital gets a cut", etc. I could not believe what I was hearing. I told her that her agreement with the hospital is not my business. I selected a bouquet from what was offered online and paid the price and the delivery fee! If she didn't want to provide the customer what they ordered and paid for then don't do business with the hospital. The bouquet was remade and resend -- still with little attention to the photo of what I ordered! I am not sure how they can sleep knowing they take advantage of people during very difficult times when their loved ones are not well and a considerable distance away in a hospital. Awful! read more

The flowers I ordered were beautiful and the price reasonable, but the delivery notification was almost an hour early. My friend didn't call re delivery, so I called her, and asked her about them She had no knowledge. I called the florist, and was told "the driver is practically there now". I informed her that I had received an email informing me that they had been delivered. She never acknowledged the premature email, but kept telling me that they were within the time frame requested. I suggested to her that delivery should not be reported until they HAD actually been delivered. Needless to say, my friend called me saying that she had just received the flowers. Although the surprise was ruined, she did like them. read more

My beloved boss sent me flowers long distance from VA. Gibsonia was the florist who ended up fulfilling the order here in Florida. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful. Very colorful, artful, balanced and in my favorite pinks and purples and greens. That was one week ago and today they are as fresh and lovely as the day they were delivered. I kid you not. Still as perfect as they were last Tuesday a week ago. If you have local floral needs, these folks obviously do good work, use quality flowers, and care about the end result. You procured a variety of tropical flowers that the other florists hadn't used. We were truly, truly blown away and grateful. And you did this with 24 hours notice. I'll add that 3 family members ordered from Lakeland/Gibsonia and the arrangements were completely different and had a huge variety of tropicals! No duplication! The plant I received after my dad's passing was beautiful and is still thriving!

I ordered flowers long-distance, which always makes me wary after getting hosed several times @ other florists. I now make sure I get a picture sent to me by the recipient, so I know if I was fleeced or not...and I'm very happy to say that this business (my original order went to their sister store Lakeland Flowers, who then channeled it out through this shop which they also operate) did very nice work on this bouquet. I made several special requests for minor changes (colors of the flowers used, type of flowers we preferred) which were both honored & fulfilled, and we were very pleased when our family members sent us the picture which showed us how beautifully these flowers turned out. They were delivered promptly & the flowers were fresh. I trust these 2 businesses & plan to use them again in the future. Thank you! *Note: I plan to cross-reference this review, since I was pleased with the person who took my order @ the sister store (Lakeland Flowers), & also pleased with the end result. Ordered on line to be delivered on june3 for my daughters Birthday. We got them on the 4th after several calls and they were left outside my gate on the dirt. Oh and payed $50 for an arrangement with four sunflowers. It was a sunflower mason jar nothing close to their pic. read more

A dear friend of mine passed away 11 years ago. To let his parents know I still thought of them after all this time, I ordered an arrangement to be delivered to them on the anniversary of his death. I ordered and paid online (very expensive). The day the flowers were to be delivered, I received an email stating they had been delivered. Recipient got home and flowers were not there. She checked her Ring Doorbell and there had been no activity - meaning they never even attempted delivery! I called the shop the following morning and was told they tried to deliver, but couldn't find the address. This home is very easily located, as it is in a non-gated subdivision in the City of Lakeland AND the correct address was provided. The shop never even tried calling to let me know they couldn't find the house. If they had, I could have talked them through on how to get there. SO DISAPPOINTED! The only thing the staff told me is that they would try to redeliver today. No refund/discount was offered. Horrible customer service. Will never order from Gibsonia Flowers again. read more

This company is Horrible, they admit they use false advertisement and have horrible customer service. Ordered 5 days in advance, they took my money in 5 seconds flat and they would not have delivered it if I had not called at 4 pm when they should have been delivered by 12. They delivered them at 4:50 pm. read more
