She has already made significant progress in math (now above grade level!) and is making solid gains in reading as well. She was a year behind in reading and is steadily catching up. When we did the trial class, I was skeptical because it just looked like a bunch of kids sitting around on computers. However, we decided to give it a try due to reasonable cost, no long term commitment, no assigned homework and a spot-on assessment of my daughter's needs at the end of the trial class. I've been very pleased so far. The sessions are highly individualized, and she is exposed to many math concepts that she hasn't even done in school yet. The staff give feedback after each session, and the director does a one-on-one written progress update every two months. This is extremely helpful in tracking progress against state academic standards and grade level performance and in identifying strengths and weaknesses. The staff are all very friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Explore Horizons Frisco.

The owner really cares about the kids coming to her tutoring center. She makes time to answer any and all questions from parents, and shows kids' progression in a positive manner. He always loved school, but hit a snag…read morein middle school and started to procrastinate and wouldn't complete assignments in a timely manner. He would often refuse to do school work and started falling behind in Math. However, after attending the Tutoring Center, he was able to work his way back up to grade level. He not only worked his way back to grade level, but he actually enjoyed going to the center each day to work on his assignments. I cannot thank the staff at the Tutoring Center enough for the hard work and effort they put into making sure my son was successful in his educational endeavors. I highly recommend them to anyone who has a struggling student or a student in need of enrichment work.
