My rating is 3.5 stars…read more Famous Canada is a store that sells a lot of souvenirs. You can get anything from keychains that say Toronto or Canada on them, to apparel that proudly screams Canadiana on it. The store is located in Chinatown Centre. You can access it either through the mall or the store's entrance from Spadina Avenue. I liked seeing maple syrup products and chocolate with ice wine infused in it. It's quite the store. It takes some time to absorb everything. A woman at the store asked if I needed any help. I didn't. I was here to browse. I saw a cute bear keychain that I was tempted to buy. I asked the man at the counter whether debit or credit cards are accepted. You can only use them if your order is $10 or over. I would have to get more items than the bear keychain to use plastic to pay for my items. There wasn't anything else that I wanted at this store, so I simply continued to browse. When I go into a souvenir shop, I would expect that you would be able to use payment methods besides cash. I frankly don't carry cash with me these days. So, it's the main reason why my rating takes away a couple of stars. You want to make it convenient for tourists to pay for items and have souvenirs, instead of hunting around for a bank machine to do a cash withdrawal. Although I am pleased that this store offers other payments besides cash, the limit is annoying if you just want a chocolate bar and you can't find a convenience store. The selection of gifts to give others while in the city is decent here. There weren't any sales going on, so you may want to consider hitting souvenirs stores along Yonge Street instead. The deals over there are better. (270)
