I am familiar with their drivers as I share the roads with them daily and my mom works in the building that abuts Spicers. I am rating them on their drivers. I think they are fantastic. They are courteous, conscientious and careful, even when dealing with the little car jerks who are in crazed-commute freak-out mode. The Spicers drivers drive from Union City through Hayward to 92 and across the San Mateo bridge. They regularly anticipate the horrible little car drivers' actions and are proactive, gracefully avoiding those scary altercations referred to by some traffic reporters as "tangles." Driving a box truck or an 18-wheeler can be scary and dangerous, as can sharing the road with one. I'm never nervous around a Spicers truck.

I paid for an ad and she put my ad right next to a competitor's full page ad. After I complained, the publisher told me that there should not be an issue with the placement of my ad and that they do this to real estate agents all the time. I told him that his analogy did not apply because I am not selling real estate. He told me that they were not going to do anything to compensate me. Don't spend your money advertising with The Los Altos Town Crier, they just want to fill space.
