I went to GigaParts looking for a small fan to put near stereo equipment that Dave said was hotter than he liked. This store is huge and very clean. It is in the old Burlington building off University. Upon walking in, 2 sales associates welcomed us and the one closest to us asked if we needed any help. Dave explained why we were there and he and the young man spoke for a few minutes. I walked around looking at all the items. I was asked a couple of times if I needed help. The salesman took Dave straight to a shelf that had several fans on it. They weren't the type of fans we needed. I was impressed this young man knew where the fans were in the store because the store is huge! He knew the type of fan Dave was looking for and he mentioned he didn't think they had what Dave wanted but he would show the fans they did have. The salesman was correct about the fans they had were not the right type. We thanked him for his time and left. 5/5 for customer service and knowledge of fans and where they are. Purchased a $400+ motherboard..it appears the CPU socket was damaged..they assumed I did it and refused to exchange or refund it. There was really no premise or foundation behind their decision. It's really been a joy to see this place grow up in Huntsville. They now have a massive store with a huge selection. I placed an order for 2 ham radios, 1 mobile and 1 handheld and the appropriate programming kit for each. When the box came i found i was shorted the programming kit for the mobile. I called the them, they answered pretty quick but could not do anything until after i send an email and they look at the video of my box being filled and sealed. That was 6 days ago... I've had no return call, no return emails and i have a radio sitting in a box awaiting the programming kit. I'm sorry they have not been more responsive. Everything else was great. read more

My experience with GigaParts might be unusual - lots of people seem to like them. But I've purchased two items from GigaParts and both were defective when they arrived. The second item, the one I'm most angry about, is a Yaesu FT 991a, priced at just over $1233. The radio was defective right out of the box. As soon as I discovered the problem, I called GigaParts got an RMA number and returned it. Two weeks later, when I called to find out why they hadn't gotten back to me, I was told that because I had marked the box (I stamped my callsign on it before I knew the radio was broken), they were refusing to accept the return. My only recourse was to send the radio to Yaesu and have it repaired. I gave GigaParts $1233 thinking I was buying a brand new radio. What I'm getting, assuming it can be fixed, is a repaired/refurbished radio because GigaParts refused to accept the return of an expensive but defective radio over markings on a cardboard box. read more

I ordered an antenna. It was defective and I wanted an exchange. I was told I first had to send the antenna back at my own expense. This was about $17 to ship. The antenna cost about $30. Then I would have to re-purchase the antenna and pay for shipping again. Basically, I paid them to try out a defective antenna. I read so many complaints on the BBB website about Gigaparts return policy and selling defective equipment to customers. It's horrible customer service. I will not order anything from them again. Update: After writing this review, Gigaparts' Sales reached out to me to rectify the situation, listened, and promptly refunded the shipping costs to return the antenna. Caution they send a separate email after you order to confirm signature so if you don't check that certain email frequently...if I ordered it why do I need to confirm it !!! cost me money and delays in production for my customers. I have been a Ham (N6KV) for over 42 years (1980) I had to go down to the FCC Field Office in NYC to take the code & written test & I just turned a young "69 years old". You guys & Gals got it so much easier now getting your Ticket. I have brought over $6000 worth of Ham Radio equipment from GigaParts over the 4-5 years. I got my FT-991, FT-981, Anytone AT-D578UV III Pro VHF/UHF DMR Mobile, Several MFJ 35A Liner Power Supplies, a Heil Sound PS 6 plus the foot switches, Comet Antennas CAA-500 Mark II, & my Diamond BB7V base antenna. This is just a small list of the equipment I've brought there. Also, I am from the old Ham Radio School, all this new stuff like digital, FT8 and DMR, etc. If I had any questions there was always someone there who could help me. Update to review: I was contacted by the manager, John, afterwards and he seemed genuinely as unhappy as I was with the result. He tried to contact Flashforge and pretty much got the same run around as I did. At this point, he took it upon himself to give me some options to make it right, all of which were very fair and appreciated. One of those options was to trade for a new 3D printer of the same model. We both agreed this may leave us in the same boat down the road. So, I took one of the other options and am very happy with my experience. I ordered some guy rope a month ago. It showed as in stock. Then I get a message they were out of stock and I'd have to wait two months to get it.  I called. No information. After another month I get a message it would take at least two more months. It's pretty clear they are lying to me. Either they have no intention of ordering this and are hoping I will cancel the order or perhaps they prices it wrong and don't want to take a loss. For whatever reason this company is not being honest with me. I cancelled my order. I do not intend to do business with them again. Sometime last week my desktop decided to go to sleep and not wake up. This upset me, so I called up Gigaparts and they were closed for the day. Damn. I took my computer in the next morning and within a couple hours the tech called me to let me know of the problem. The problem? I suck at computers. My OS was corrupt. They fixed it up in an hour and my Dell is back to awesome. I didn't expect to be called for a few days. They called within a few hours, great service! The best thing about all of this was the price. I didn't comparison shop with Geek Squad or anyone else, but I'm pretty sure this is a good price. One hour of labor to fix the problem was $49. Add the $35 for the initial review to figure out the problem and the grand total was $89. A small price to fix my computer if you ask me, and did I mention there was no data loss? read more

Awful return policy. Bought a radio advertised as being able to be operated from a Bluetooth phone, Android or iPhone. Just doesn't work with an iPhone. And wont pair with any headset that needs a security code. Sent it back as defective and was charged shipping and a 15% restocking fee.
