When I studied at Pitt, I love the Heinz Memorial Chapel a lot so my husband and I decided to have our wedding there after my graduation. At first, I thought I could handle all the wedding details by myself to save the money but then I figured out that mission impossible. I would have my wedding, my graduation project and final research paper at the same time! I would be an insane bride! So we started looking for wedding planners and Shari was the first one we contacted. Her professionalism, experienced attitude and thoughtful consideration really impressed us. After a few comparison with other wedding planners, we had Shari's assistant Andrea as our wedding planner. Andrea is the perfect one. She is nice, easy to communicate, thoughtful and very professional. I have no idea of how an American wedding goes like and she was so patient to explain all the details to me. She helped the most when we picking up all the vendors due to my budget. As my husband was working in Beijing, China by the time I was preparing the wedding, Andrea was the most helpful one to me. I can't thank her more for spending the last six months with me. Without her effort, I couldn't have such a beautiful wedding. I had a wedding prepare folder with 12 wedding vendors lists and she was always there when we had to meet with them. We almost spent every week together. I did a dual-language wedding ceremony and reception as our parents can't understand English. Andrea and her team coordinated that point with all the other vendors and we made it! Everything went through so well and our parents were grateful and happy too. For the wedding day, I just felt a little worried of the wedding party as we were not familiar with the American wedding. I knew Andrea would take care the rest of my wedding and make it perfect. I was so busy and anxious by the graduation ceremony on the morning and wedding on the evening. She helped all the other things as we planned and all of a sudden the dream came true. Thank you Andrea for being my wedding coordinator and being there with more as a friend and a sister. Sometimes life goes a little more quickly than you realize!…read more Shari recently helped us the day of our daughter's Confirmation. We decided at the last minute to mark the event with a little celebration. We only had a couple of weeks before the ceremony...the date just snuck up on us! Shari's consultation ensured that we didn't miss any details. Her recommendations and suggestions made the decision process so much easier...we could trust what she advised & just go with it because she has so much experience! The day of the event, Shari came early, coordinated with the caterer, & made sure everything was set. It was a blessing in disguise having her that day because the service went long. Some guests arrived before we even got home! The transformation in our home from before the ceremony to after when Shari had everything set up was amazing. We enjoyed the event that much more because she took away my worries about taking care of guests. Instead of rushing around, I was able to relax and enjoy our friends and family and some cake! I'm lucky to say Shari is a friend of mine, but my comments here are completely genuine. Her assistance was invaluable. She made the dynamic of the event much less stressful which was worth every penny...my husband will attest to that! I saw ceramic Christmas tree painting events advertised on Facebook and decided to give it a go…read more The prices were a bit high for what I was expecting, but I splurged since making my own ceramic tree has been something I've wanted to do for a long time. Price points started at $65 for a small tree and up to $150 for a large one. My mom and I each got medium sized trees, which I think are about 12 inches tall. Painting other stuff there might be cheaper, but I'm not sure. The staff people on the day of the event were super nice and helpful. The directions were pretty straight forward: Paint three layers of your desired color on the tree and base and then it would take 2 to 3 weeks to fire and finish off. There were lots of paint colors with three or four kinds of finishes to choose from. They give you some recommendations and guidance if you ask. I ended up going with a blue ombre one. When they texted me the day it was ready to pick up, I drove back out that day to get it because I was so excited. It turned out beautiful! The light kit that came with it wasn't great. The lights were too small for the holes, so I bought replacement ones online and it's perfect. I would definitely recommend this place and do it again, but probably for special occasions since it can get pricey.

The building sits on a beautiful school campus. All of the buildings are red brick with white accents. Very classic and proper looking. The auditorium was bigger than I expected. It is set up in a way that most seats are great seats. The seats are roomy and there is nice knee room. Some of the seats are a bit straight up and steep to get to so if you are seeing a production go for the orchestra seats.

We were told when we booked for a party that we had a discount. We asked them several times before…read morethe party confirming the discounted price. After the party, they charged us the full amount (a $90 difference). When we contacted them, they told us the discount had expired (even though only a week before they said it wasn't, and we had booked months in advance). Even with the discount, I wouldn't really recommend it. Especially if the audience is younger kids (around 7 years old).
