There is nothing in this world that would compare to the taste, texture and flavor of a Custaroon. Why? Because the one who invented it is none other than Gigi Gaerlan, and her products are all locally made. It's her concoction of a macaroon and a leche flan hybrid. As much as I want to know how to make it myself, I am just satisfied enjoying them piece by piece, bite by bite.
I remember the first time I ever tasted a Custaroon, and I will always cherish that experience. My boss at the time decided to buy a small box of 12 for everyone at the office, and I saved mine to share with my family. When one of my officemates decided to open her box to share, I took the chance without hesitation, since the packaging was very nice and I had no idea what a Custaroon would taste like. What hit my mouth then was a magical blend of flavors and textures that you just have to try, in order to understand my lack of description.
