I, like many others, found proactive massage on Groupon. Their system to make an appointment is a…read morebit different than most (you can't even look at scheduling until you get approved through the online system), but worked fine. Before coming in for.my massage, I received many emails about protocol and rules (you have to be the one to receive the massage, you must be 15 minutes early, you must fill out a questionnaire before coming in etc), which all is fine. About a week before my appointment I had a bit of a panic moment when I got an email from Groupon saying that my Groupon was expiring and realized that my appointment wasn't until after the expiration date. I had made my appointment well in advance and couldn't recall if this was alright or not, so I emailed Harrison to confirm it was OK and explained the whole situation. In his return email he stated 'read your validation email' and that's it. So I dug up the email from months prior (which I hadn't found initially because it was too old to be stored in my phone) and found that this was indeed OK. I'm not sure why he wouldn't have just replied 'yes.' I was put off by this before even meeting him. Fast forward to massage day. I make sure to get there 15 minutes early and guess what....No one there. Door is locked. I waited and waited. Harrison arrived 3 minutes before my massage was supposed to start. No big deal except for the many emails I received stating the import of getting there 15 minutes early. No real apology while he set up his office and I waited, but he was friendly enough. He took the time to talk with me about my activities and where I had pain and came up with a plan for the massage - points for that! He also looked at my posture and said he felt my shoulders were a little hunched, maybe from desk work, and offered to release them. He suggested doing a deep tissue instead of a swedish, stating that swedish was like 'petting a kitty'.... Feels nice but does nothing....So I agreed. We headed back to the room where lady gaga was playing (odd choice, but OK). So here's where things got a little weird again.... He made mention of my 'undergarment' several times, first telling me he'd prefer it to be off but if I were uncomfortable with that I could leave them on...Which I did. I then proceeded to lay on the table for 2 full songs before he came back in the room. Throughout the massage he was mentioning how difficult it made the massage to have the undergarment on....I can see that, but it made me feel a little uncomfortable. He really did a good job with the massage, he explained what he was doing and was very knowledgeable about muscles etc but he also made comments about my body like 'you have really nice abs' which just seemed a little over the line and inappropriate for the situation. The massage ended at 11:08 (supposed to start at 10, probably started closer to 10:20 ish). He spent time explaining why it's important to get regular massage work, which I understood. As I was about to leave he asked how my shoulders felt and I told him they were much better and moved them around. Then he proceeded to tell me he just realized why I hunch....Because of course I'm so well endowed and as a girl I maybe felt uncomfortable when I was developing......I felt 100% uncomfortable with this.... Why is he commenting on my chest, that is not necessary. So overall the massage was great BUT I personally felt uncomfortable with this massage therapist so I probably wouldn't return. If you're looking for a good deep tissue massage though and don't mind some idiosyncratic behavior, I'd definitely recommend proactive massage.

Dr. Secrest is without question medically intuitive and never fails to have an amazing insight as to what needs help in order for me to have better function and less pain. Dr. Secrest and I met after I was involved in a high speed hit and run auto accident on the 101. My lane of traffic was crawling along at idle when I was reared ended at full speed, then the person took off. My right bicep muscle tore horizontally across, while both of left and right arms' the bicep tendons split vertically. 70% of my muscles in my upper back were torn as well as my groin and wrist. When I came through his door I could barely walk. I was unable to dress myself or take care of myself without extreme struggle. Every bit of life was a challenge. Today I can function pretty normally with only occasional "ghosts" of pain that show up from time to time in the different injury sites. I am 1, 000 miles away from the train wreck I was when I walked into his clinic! To add to the challenge for Dr. Secrest I was born with Ehler's -Danlos Syndrome. (A collagen mal-synthesis disorder that causes hyper mobility of the joints and tendons and excess scar tissue post injury.) On impact I could feel internal surgical incisions from old C-Sections tear. I could feel all my injuries tearing when adrenaline took over to keep me going for the next hour or so. The next day was HELL! Covid showed up only four months after the incident leaving me with NO HELP with every day living with injuries. This situation prolonged my healing and made me a tough case for all my doctors. Sadly, I did not meet Dr. Secrest until about a month and a half after the accident. Anyone who is on a treadmill of slow healing really should let Dr. Secrest analyze what is going on with them. His intuitive insight is far out of the scope of average doctors! He is a GIFT in MY LIFE! I thank GOD for him and his team! He saved my life, my future and in turn, my family! He asks what the body needs and acts accordingly. His staff is professional and kind and I just can't say enough about this healer and his practice. Dr Dan recently helped me out with an acute case of wry neck. I could not turn my head to the left at all before I first saw him. But he improved my pain and mobility by 60% after 1st visit and even more after my second, which he came in on a holiday for. He really cares about his patients and I would recommend his practice to everyone!

When I booked my massage appointment I was emailed an intake form. I completed the intake form and touched the "submit" button and then texted him to let him know I submitted the intake form. He comes back a few minutes later and tells me that I did not fully submit the form because he doesn't have it. So he sends it to me again. I complete the form again and then he says I have it now. I find it amusing that another person who reviewed Cameron had the same problem with the intake form! Maybe it's not the customer but perhaps Cameron, who doesn't understand how his own system works!

The front office is friendly & accommodating with scheduling. Dr. Mannino & Dr. Weber are always on the same page regarding the treatment plan. They believe in finding the root cause of the issue rather than finding a temporary fix. I really appreciated how they didn't make me feel like I had waisted my time on my initial visit.
