While waiting, I was offered a small bottle of water. They use an online portal for reviewing the doctor's & his nurse's notes from your visit. His nurse was awesome! She's one of the best communicators I've ever met in the health care industry. She reminded me that Pap smears for women 40 & older are now recommended every 5 years, but that my insurance would pay for yearly exams. Unbeknownst to me prior to my visit, they had me pee in a cup for a pregnancy test. Even if you know you aren't. Lol. Thus... arrive hydrated & don't use the restroom before you head there. Overall, I was impressed with their clinic's cleanliness. Getting an appointment & finding the facility were the only pitfalls. If you don't already know the area, Dr. Driskill's office is behind the old Lea Regional Hospital (as it was referred to as when I was born there) - even closer to the emergency helipad. Cindy, the scheduler, is incredibly sweet every time I call or speak to her in person. She truly loves her job! The wait for our appts are never long, I think we've waited 10-15 minutes at MAX to be called back and even in the room I don't wait for the Dr. for more than 10-15 min! The staff is very nice and welcoming every time we come. They offer payment plans to meet your deductible instead of dropping a huge amount of $$ in one day. The ultrasound tech is very sweet, experienced and has gotten us great photos every-time! The nurses go above and beyond at every appt, they don't rush and truly care about their patients. Dr. Venegas takes his time in the exam room and doesn't keep you waiting at all. He answers all of our questions clearly, and gives us more and more information at every visit! I will always recommend Dr. Venegas!
