Gilberto came out the morning after I connected with him on Yelp to provide a free estimate. The cost was very fair considering all the work that needed to be done. He then got started the next morning. It took Gilberto and his team about five hours to give the front and back yards a complete overhaul. There were SO many weeds that needed to be pulled, random flower boxes filled with dirt and trash, trees and bushes that needed trimming and pruning, and overgrown grass in the yards. After having 5 trees pruned in our back yard by Juan's Tree Service, we needed help with pruning and a full cleanup in our front yard, side yards, and back yard. Gilberto came and gave me a bid, but it was way too high. Later, when speaking with a relative, he lowered his price to match another bid. We liked his experience and reviews, so we hired him and his crew. They arrived on time and worked from 8:30-1:00, pruning and cleaning. I had given him a list of everything I expected, which matched our conversation the day of his bid. They did a wonderful job, attending to everything on my list, and I was very happy. I wanted to hire him to handle the yard work on a monthly basis, but he did not respond. I would recommend him for major projects, as he provided excellent service to me. We also had a good time laughing at my jokes, and I felt he was honest in his recommendations for future planting. Once again we had a great experience with Gilberto and his team. They did an excellent job removing our old patchy grass that was overrun with weeds and prepped the yard beautifully for new grass seed. The whole process--from clearing out the old lawn to fixing and adding new sprinklers and spreading the seed and topper--was done professionally and with great care. We're sharing photos of the lawn right after the topper went on, and we'll be updating this review with new photos in a month or two once the new grass has had time to grow in. I am so happy with the work Gilberto and his team recently did at our house! They went above and beyond. We reached out through yelp and he offered to come out to give us an estimate that very day. He was here within the hour and gave us a quote for tree trimming, weed removal, and removal of some old rosebush stumps in the backyard. When we decided to go with less to save money, I came home and found that he went ahead and removed the rosebushes for us anyway and cleaned up every last weed on the property. I am very disappointed with the gardening service I received. After they finished, they left behind tree stumps, branches, and a lot of leaves instead of cleaning up properly. The yard was supposed to look neat and finished, but it actually looked worse than before. I expected them to remove all the waste and leave everything clean, but that did not happen. I would not recommend this service to others because the job was not completed properly and there was no attention to detail in the cleanup. read more

After using Yelp to get several gardening job bids from other tree gardening companies that had excellent five star ratings, my wife and I went with Gilberto's company. we negotiated for a fair price to have our small condo backyard to be cleaned up and to remove a moderate height, ficus or rubber tree that grew not just up, but grew out (roots)over the years. The roots were starting to grow out of its potted area, potentially going to damage to our underground plumbing pipes and backyard walkway patio foundation. Gilberto and his crew member came out and removed a magnolia tree that was causing our pavers to get displaced. He quoted the tree and stump removal and completed the project the next day. He was prompt and took care not to damage our irrigation system and asked if it was ok to dig up some adjacent plants close to the tree. This review is long overdue, as I got sidetracked. I contacted Gilberto a for a quote for yard overgrowth cleanup, evening out 2 uneven planters, and installation of mulch and drought tolerant plants. He was responsive, easy-going, and friendly. I decided to hire him. He and his crew showed up as promised. He doescommunicate well and sent pics from the nursery of the drought friendly plants he planned install. They completed the job the same day. Overall, the yard looks much better and am generally pleased with the look. That being said however, it wasn't until next day that I realized the are bare spots that needed mulch. It seems it was spread too thin. I also noticed that the planters weren't evened out. We were looking for a landscaper to get sod for our front lawn. Gilberto came over to measure and discuss what we want. He quoted us the same day and scheduled us the following week. Him and his crew came on time on the day of the project and finished our front lawn in 3 days. We also had him install Rachio so now we can control our sprinkler system via our phone/wifi. Dropping my review since his response tried to blame me. So I want to start this review off by saying Gilberto has not done any work on my yard. However, after multiple attempts to schedule a routine lawn service and being left out to dry I've decided it's best to put my experience in words. Initially I reached out since my lawn had become quite overgrown. I got a rapid response from Gilberto saying he was available. Since his reviews were so high I immediately gave him my information and stopped talking with other gardeners as too not have multiple companies showing up. Gilberto told me he'd be by in the afternoon but never showed. I messaged him and he apologized and said he'd be by the next day... he never showed. After multiple attempts to schedule something I'm finding myself in the same position I was prior. He seems like a nice guy but waiting at home all day for someone to show up and they never do is terrible customer service. I had to change my day around twice to work him in. Lastly, I feel 3 stars is fair considering he never did work at my house. I'm sure his gardening & landscaping skills are superb but his customer service is lacking. read more

We have a large lot, 12 planters, so we schedule a second appointment which included Gilberto. We agreed on the project; removal of all old flowers, price, time line and they bought and delivered the flowers. We paid approximately 1/3 up front and remainder upon completion. We are very happy with the project, it's all refreshed and looks fantastic. They were professional brought extra workers and do great work.
