Joyce Dugan from the Saturday Club was nice and easy to work with. Since they didn't have a Friday event, they gave us keys on Friday and allowed us to do set up Friday evening and Saturday morning. They did provide the tables and chairs and set them up on Friday for us which was awesome. The employee Chris was there in the office during the wedding if we needed anything. The place is really cute and was the perfect size for our wedding. We had just the perfect amount of room for the number of table and chairs we used and enough room on the dance floor. There is a little area/ private room near the bathrooms that serves as the bridal suite and also a great place to nurse my son and for other nursing moms. The price was great and I love what the money goes towards. I would absolutely recommend this for a wedding of 50-90 guests or for other events. This would also be a great spot for bridal and baby showers. And they worked so well with our caterer. We put the photo booth in the front vestibule area. I must say though I was shocked to see a $20 entry for the privilege of paying a cash bar and a few finger bites. So, if my wife and I pay the $20 a head cover and each order a bottle of Yeungling it's $52? I don't care how rich you are, you need a hole in your head to pay $52 for two bottles of Miller's Lite. Was this money going to a charity or strictly for profit? I'm not going to begrudge a private club having whatever type of event they want. I am asking though please don't associate your organization with the Art Loop, a traditionally free and fun mingling of the community, if you're going to charge a cover that goes beyond even what a local club would charge on a Saturday while a band is playing. Art was alright, typical of what you would see in a downtown office building. Local landmarks and landscapes. You could actually go to the Brandywine Museum of Art and see some Andrew Wyeth for less than the price of admission here. Even better the Delaware Art Museum only charges $25 for two adults and four children and both of those have a lot more than the dozen work we saw hanging here.

I spoke to the manager, CJ and all he said was, "That should have taken 5 minutes, sorry," with a shrug. No real apology, no accountability--he honestly seemed like he couldn't care less. After sitting there sweating for well over an hour and a half, we left hungry and frustrated. This is not our first negative experience there. We have had countless bad experiences this summer with their catering at Splash ClubZero sense of customer service. We will absolutely not be returning.

If all you can do is serve meatballs, then make good homemade meatballs. Don't give people frozen spongy meatballs you can get in the frozen section of any supermarket. There was baked ziti with some potato wedges (they were cold) and green beans and a Cesar salad drowning in dressing. I can not eat Cesar so I asked if I can switch out for a tossed salad and I was happy to pay for it but I was told no, I have to be "like, severely allergic" for them to get someone out to talk to me about it. I laughed and said forget it...I'm not going to shake my epi pen at some kid! The place is looking really run down too. My daughter is getting married in the very near future and I would not even hold a shower there based on what I experienced last night. Next time someone asks for me to attend a fundraiser there? We had a long engagement, made longer still by Covid, and Elizabeth was just incredibly warm, considerate, accommodating, professional, and just all-around lovely the entire time. Our recent wedding at Bellevue Hall was even more perfect than we could have imagined…read more We booked our May 2023 wedding back in September 2021 and honestly had decided to look at Bellevue Hall simply because it was so convenient to our home --- we literally walk our dog in Bellevue State Park quite frequently. We really didn't expect to fall in love with it the way that we did, but it really checked all of our boxes. We loved that we could plan a beautiful outdoor garden ceremony, but they still offered an equally beautiful rain plan inside the gorgeous mansion. We loved the gigantic bridal and groom suites with perfect natural light and gorgeous decor. We loved that our cocktail hour could utilize both the outdoor patio and the first floor rooms of the beautiful mansion. We loved that the tent has a permanent floor and comes with decorative lights and chandeliers. We especially loved that the Delaware location allows it to be tax free! After our initial walkthrough, we really knew that Bellevue Hall was the right choice for us. The planning process was a bit challenging due to staffing changes within the venue and at JAM. Our primary contacts switched multiple times, and at times it was challenging to get in contact with someone. We were lucky to have our own wedding planner who was persistent in her follow-up calls and in making sure none of our details were missed, so it did work out, and our eventual assigned JAM planner, Nicole, was very sweet. Our actual wedding day was perfect, and the mansion and flowering gardens were the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. Our tent looked beautiful as well. I can't wait to see our full gallery of photos from our photographer. Bellevue Hall works exclusively with JAM Catering whose food was one of the highlights of the evening. It was important to us to offer food that was flavorful, not boring, and they really delivered. Our hors d'oeuvres were delicious, our custom Rhubarb Gin Fizz signature drink was delightful, and our entrees were well cooked and well seasoned. I especially appreciated that they offer a variety of unique vegetarian entrees --- the black bean cake was scrumptious and so much better than the bland cheese pasta I've seen at other weddings. They also included our cake in the package, which was both beautiful and delicious. All in all, we were very happy with our choice to get married at the gorgeous Bellevue Hall.
