The bar is a great place to hang out with a view of the water and interesting yet understated nautical theme. The club also sports a single trap station and they do a nice job hosting a trap event. I've always found it amusing to shoot trap over the water as commercial airlines are coming up the river on approach to PHL. One obviously can't actually hit them with a shotgun round, they are not that close, but it just seems odd to point a shotgun at a US Airways 757, although for other reasons I've considered it.

It's BYOB with a few beverages & snacks sold on the premises. Chairs were set up in short rows for this gig. The sound & overall experience exceeded my expectations. And the salvaged pieces on display make for an eclectic visual experience. Tickets are sold at the place on the day of the show. So no PayPal or ordering over the phone. This is seemingly a labor of love for the owner to put these shows on here. If deciding to see a show out here, I'd have dinner at one of the few restaurants, & take a quick look in some of the more artsier shops beforehand. The War3house 3 is easily accessible from the Swarthmore train station if you plan to come by public transportation.

One of our drinks was made wrong, and when we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed she needed to come to our table and actually walked away while we were still talking, which felt really dismissive. What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. Returned around 11 PM to a fully packed parking lot. Could not park in the handicapped spot (someone in my party needs this), and one of the two cars in the designated spot did not have handicap plates/handicap placard. We went to the front desk to notify them, especially since there are signs saying will tow/fine, etc., and they said there was nothing they could do, so we said we would call the police, and they said they won't come.... parked the car across the street, returned to the lobby area and told the front desk that the police were called. As we were headed toward the elevator, we heard the front desk person tell some other employee who was there to tell.( couldn't decipher a name) to move their car, etc., etc. Beyond sketchy, and illegal. As far as the room goes, old furniture, refrigerator did not work, which we did not realize until we took out our now not cold/not frozen food while packing up. Shower water pressure was good, but overall lighting in both the bathroom and the overall room was dim. Carpet throughout the property was rippled and I tripped over it a few times... Honestly, the front desk staff was unfriendly and really didn't seem to like the fact that they were there... area also appears to be not the safest, so won't be coming back here again..

Even the back is good (although the front is best). -It was an extremely easy GA experience. I've spent many hours waiting for GA shows in my lifetime, but that wasn't the case. -Drinks were dirt cheap in comparison to other casinos and venues. The vodka club was made with Sky and Absolute (depending on the flavor) and were only $6 a pop. -The sound quality was clear, even from the front row. The band complained it was loud, but I thought it was good. The bad: -The bathroom was located in the casino and a hike. That's unfortunate with drink prices being so low. -The smell. Sometimes it smelled like garbage. Sometimes it smelled like bacon. Sometimes it smelled like incense. It was gross and distracting. All and all, I'd return for the right act.

She made a good martini and she was fast and efficient. The TV's were tuned to the game and people were happy. Might be a nice place to watch World Cup events. A piano player added to the fun and relaxing vibe.

It pains me greatly to downgrade the Inn from its previously lofty perch as the near-perfect…read moreno-fuss hotel to merely adequate, and at the price, not such a great deal anymore. What confused me during our stay was we had two rooms, one an accessible room on the third floor, and the other a queen double on the second. I have stayed in both these areas before. The accessible room seemed unchanged. The second floor was very odd. First off, the fantastic soundproofing seems to have vanished -- at least, inside the hotel. The outside is still inaudible, as it was built to shield guests from the sounds of trains. But inside? I could hear our neighbors talk, I could hear their alarms, I could hear the elevator ding and the machinery (it was four doors down, so not that close). There were odd sounds from machinery in the walls and the HVAC systems I don't remember. Then we had a weekend with basically no hot water and no water pressure. Oh, the water trickled out, but it did so at a very tepid temperature and with less pressure than even any water-restricted California shower I've ever seen. I've never ever had such a problem here before. Then a local friend said they'd had renovations and added capacity. Did they -- gut the rooms and subdivide? That would account for the fact the room seemed smaller than I remembered; it would account for having lost the internal soundproofing but not the external, if they did a terrible job at the renovation; and perhaps they didn't bother to upgrade the floor hot water heater (our family member in the accessible room on the third floor did not seem to have this problem), or the plumbing capacity, and what we were getting was water at low pressure after everybody else on the floor had used it. (Although I had the same problem the middle of the day Saturday as I did Saturday and Sunday morning). I won't hold the pathetic EV charger situation against the Inn per se, since it apparently is a college problem: the chargers are limited to four hours! At a slow level 2 J-1772, this meant we got about 15% charge a day. This is ludicrous. I am willing to pay for the charge (the four hours a day is free) if I can, you know, actually charge the car. Limiting it to four hours on the basis of demand is pointless; all the spots were filled on Friday, and none of them charging, because it turns out they were all occupied by staff members of the college who went home at the end of the day and occupied the spot for eight hours, charging only four. The college's commitment to EVs seems -- I can't use a word that expresses this properly. Inconsistent with its avowed Zero by 2035 goals. (All the chargers on campus are the same, and there aren't that many of them, plus you can't use them if you're a visitor, anyway.) The location is perfect if you are visiting the college, but there's a lot going wrong here right now and I'm very, very disappointed. The staff are still extremely nice (especially housekeeping) so I can't downgrade it all the way, but this is worse than the Hampton Inn in Media now, for half again as much each night. There's only so much I'm willing to pay for location.

Lovely space for your small or large parties. Clean and friendly atmosphere from the kitchen area to the bathroom was clean and presentable.
