We would like to take a moment to Thank Jamie for all she did to make the Baby Shower for my son, daughter in-law and newest Granddaughter-to-be, extra special. The restaurant and its decor are absolutely beautiful, exactly my daughter in-laws style and comfort, making it the perfect setting to host her very special day.  Our family and friends, that travelled from near and far, enjoyed the delicious Breakfast Brunch, prepared with many choices. We appreciate Jamie and the chef of Jamestown Catering for being so accommodating, especially with the gluten free options. The service was exceptional from the very first day of researching a location through the day of the celebration. We all truly enjoyed ourselves and felt so well taken care of throughout the entire experience. My recent busier to Park Cafe had lots of little updates! It is always beautifully decorated and inviting. The menu also changes so it's nice to try lots of different things. This time around, I tried the salmon taco which was served cold. It was very fresh, but needed a little side salad or something to go with it! The mushroom Panini was really delicious! The perfect blend of mushrooms and cheese but again missing a little bit of green! Huge fan of this place so I will definitely be back to try new menu items! read more

This is a cute spot for brunch. Its a cozy location with good food and great drinks. I came for a Saturday brunch and the staff was very accommodating and attentive. We had the waffle sandwich and strawberry French toast. The pumpkin espresso martini and the caramel cafecito were our drinks of choice and they did not disappoint! read more

We drove 30 minutes to Park Cafe after specifically checking the website and online hours to find a brunch spot nearby. Everything indicated the restaurant was open. It was pouring rain, we parked, and walked a block to the entrance--only to be told after walking inside that the restaurant was closed for a private party. There was: * No sign on the door * No notice on the website * No update online * No greeting from staff -- we were told by a guest, not an employee To confirm, I walked back to the car and called the restaurant. The staff member who answered was snooty, unapologetic, and dismissive, simply stating they were closed, with no acknowledgment of the inconvenience or lack of communication. If you're going to close for a private event, that's completely fine--but basic courtesy and accurate information are the bare minimum. A sign. A website update. A polite explanation. Any one of those would have made this understandable. Instead, we got none of them. Extremely disappointing experience, and a complete waste of time. read more

We had my daughter's bridal shower here last weekend (26 people). One of the reasons we selected Park Cafe is because you "take over" the whole cafe. Jamie was responsive and great to work with. We were able to set up flowers, games, etc., an hour before the shower started - we had plenty of time. There are no stairs at entrance or inside, which is nice for guests with mobility issues. Jamie helped with the timing of everything during the party, which is not my forte. read more

It's not easy finding a non-chain restaurant open on a Monday. We were happy to find this place to meet friends for lunch! Our meals were good and service was excellent. The menu is small, but good. It was also nice to arrive to a small parking lot, as sometimes street parking can be a challenge in Wilmington. We would visit it again! read more

I love a good brunch! Park Cafe is a great spot to check out if you are in Wilmington, DE. Brunch is served from 10-2 on Saturday and Sunday. I arrived right as the restaurant open and was impressed by the decor and the indoor seating cafe vibes. I ordered the Grand Park breakfast with sausage and the Pina Punch. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I wanted to love the Pina Punch, but it was definitely lacking a good balance of alcohol to flavor. The drink had a really weird taste and would not try it again. Overall a place that you should check out. They have a cute outdoor seating area too. read more

This is an incredibly cute restaurant, but the food has not been consistent during our handful of visits here. It also can be incredibly slow for lunch or brunch even when they're not busy. Two times I had great egg dishes. I've since tried a quiche which was decent but the Grilled Hot Honey Chicken was pretty underwhelming I would like to give it another try, but I really hope they can improve the sandwiches in particular. read more

Okay Wilmington! Go Off! This cafe is super cute inside and has a cute patio to eat on. We stopped in on a cold day and they had plenty of space heater available which made it surprisingly cozy. There aren't too many table so it might be best to call ahead on a saturday/sunday. I love that I found this place. I can't wait to come back. The internet is undefeated. On our way for a weekend getaway in Annapolis, I searched for "best lunch in Wilmington" and this was the first hit. While I'll admit it's the only lunch I've ever eaten in Wilmington, I have no trouble believing it really is the best. The restaurant is small, but bright and cheerful, and we were greeted with big smiles. I had a cup of a carrot-heavy farro and vegetable soup (super hearty and delicious) followed by a gorgeous salad of honey-roasted beets on a silky smooth bed of goat cheese and topped pistachios and chewy dried apricots. Great textures and the flavors were phenomenal. My BF (from their Mardi Gras specials) had blackened pork loin with horseradish apple butter. Holy GOD. So so so so good. If you live in or near Wilmington (or are just passing through like we were), seek this place out; it's a gem! read more

We just had a 90th birthday party at the Park Cafe for 23 people. It was perfect outside on the patio. We had a lunch with wraps,salad,pasta salad and chips. Jamie was excellent and had great communication with me. The table set up was perfect with table clothes and napkins. We could do our own decorations and bring our own cake. We did an open bar for the group. The service and food were excellent. This is the perfect venue for a small group! read more

We hosted my sister's baby shower here and everything from booking the event space to cleaning up after was so easy and amazing! When we arrived, the staff had everything set up for us so all we had to do was put up our decorations, they even included a few small floral arrangements which was such a thoughtful touch. The brunch buffet was delicious, the mimosa bar set up was so cute and included a great selection of different juices and fruits. Jamie and her staff were so attentive, pleasant to interact with and helped with whatever we needed. I can't say enough good things about this place, we received so many compliments from guests. Don't understand why people are saying the food is so good. I agree the Ceasar salad was good but the crab and pretzel dip was returned because it was cold and had a bad taste. Party of four had reservations at 1:00 pm on a Monday. It was empty when we were there. The tuna and vegetables tasted like there were from a can. Super cute little restaurant tucked in an unexpected part of Wilmington. I felt at home when I walked in. The service was great and the food was elevated. Like having a meal at my uncle's house if my uncle was a great chef. We had a few different breakfast items. My wife a French toast with berries and ricotta. I had a traditional breakfast with pancakes. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. They have a quaint outdoor patio. I really enjoyed sitting outside there under the heaters. The menu is minimal. I always appreciate a concentrated menu of awesome dishes vs. a large menu of average dishes. This is the former. Small, but we'll executed menu. My 2 stars is not a reflection of the food, which is pretty good, but the service is not welcoming. I recently moved to Delaware and I often look for new places to enjoy breakfast, and catch up on work/emails during the weekend. I thought I found a great place here. However, they are selective with seating and reservations, even when there are multiple tables open. I went in the summer, but as a server was seating us, another employee (possibly a manager) told her that she believed the table was reserved. The server was confused because she checked and there were no reservations. The server waited for clarification, but it was clear that the manager just did not want her to seat us (perhaps she was saving that tables for someone else). After standing there uncomfortably waiting for a few minutes, we left and I vowed never to return. Months later, I decided to give it another try and made a reservation this morning. Shortly after, I received a call stating that it was a mistake and they are actually booked. I won't tryna again. I was hesitant to share this review, but I always appreciate feeling welcomed in places I patronize, particular because I tip well and am loyal to places that offer good food and service! So if you are looking for a welcoming and pleasant experience, you may not get that here. read more

Kinda a hidden away gem in Wilmington! Tucked behind some other shops, this cafe gives very dining room esque vibes with a slightly limited menu selection but was perfect for my indecisive self. Went for Sunday brunch and got the blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes and the mushroom & brussel sprout shavings potato hash. Was just as I expected - typical brunch type meal! Only sad thing was that there was a limited cafe espresso menu - no lattes, americanos, cappuccinos but yes drip coffee and yes cold brew with a variety of flavors. Park Café is a tucked away little nook in Wilmington. The salads are fresh and the dressings are super yummy. They are worth the drive if you're a little further away and they cater holidays like Thanksgiving and Easter if you want to leave the cooking up to someone else! Highly recommend. We were greeted rudely by the older blonde woman who seemed stress and appeared as if she didn't want to be there. The rest of the staff were working hard. It took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive though it was mostly empty. The food was nothing more than slightly average. I'd say it's very over priced- $3 for an egg, $4 for two slices of bacon. Greeted by lovely smiles, we were first to arrive on a beautiful Saturday morning. We walked through french doors onto a gorgeous patio with a spectacular array of flowers and plants. It felt like a secret spot just for us. This was our first time visiting Park Cafe for brunch. Jess and I agreed that it's our new favorite spot. Highlights that morning include the Pain Perdu French Toast with blueberries, lemon ricotta and warm maple syrup. The toast sat high with a crisp and caramelized exterior and a mouth watering velvety interior. The lemon ricotta paired with the warm maple syrup sang a symphony of flavor in our mouths in every last bit. We followed it up with a more traditional scramble of eggs and potato hash with a side of bacon all cooked to perfection. For the finale we went with two bloody Maria's made with tequila and their homemade mixture with just enough spice. What an amazing experience! We can't wait to return! read more

I have read and heard good things about the cafe, so couldn't wait to give it a try. I cannot comment on the food since we walked out after one of the worst greeting experience so this review is purely about service. We walked in to one of the coldest and unfriendly hellos ever from the young girl behind the counter. Her greeting was how can I help you? We said we are here for lunch which she quickly corrected us that they only had brunch on Saturday. We said ok, followed by her long silence. We asked if we could see the menu couldn't figure out is we needed to order at the counter or wait to be seated... after a few seconds she nod with her head towards a box on the counter top with the menus. Not a single interest to be respectful or attentive towards new customers. At that point, I just simply said thank you and that I had changed my mind. Besides us there was only one table occupied with 4 ladies, so I can't really understand her disdain.... We will be back some other day to definitely try the food but I hope management gets this message and work either training or coaching since the place, food and ambiance seem to be a very welcomed gem to our area. read more
