I'm mostly OK with this hardware store. There are quite a few people who will help you if needed and ask if you need help. I think they need to get a better receipt system so that the receipts have a good description of the bolts and other small items you can buy there because if you need to return them it is well difficult to determine what receipt you had for different times you went there to buy things because there is just a generic "bolts and fasteners" if you ever needed to take it back, you will have to rely on your memory of the price to figure out which receipt you had for it. It would also be nice if they had a bicycle rack so you can lock it up. read more

The people in the store are always​ helpful and ready to assist. I use Gill-Roy's Hardware when every I can because too​ many hometown stores are going away. The prices might be​ a bit higher than the big box store, but the friendly service you get makes it worth the extra I might have to pay. read more

The store is filthy !!! Walking through the isles take skill you have to watch closely to make sure you don't trip over anything and slip in the filth by the popcorn machine . The customer service is lacking . I walked in the store the manager is standing there eating his sandwich and the employee named Chris was standing leaning against the counter watching another employee out in the parking lot . They stood there and made jokes about the other employee with no care or concern that I was standing there. I asked Chris if they could make a copy of my key as he said yes . Another customer came to register so he asked me too wait I had no issue with waiting . The employee Jason that was outside working came in and informed the manager that the hitch he gave him was wrong as he tries to fit it in the customers vehicle and so did the customer and they couldn't get it on .The manager proceeds to tell them yes this is the correct one he went out side stuck it into the slot and the. Kicked it in with his foot . The manager walks back into the store and looks at Chris and says I'll be surprised if he makes it through the day !!! Referring to Jason the young man that was outside working . The manager and Chris continued to make negative comments about Jason as the manager stiff there eating his sandwich !! Very professional isn't he?? Needless to say the tried 3 times to make a copy of my key but we're not able too. As I walked away the manager said to Chris that's what she gets for buying a foreign car !! Really ??? The manager is incredibly unprofessional and a bit racist from the comments I heard about the other customers that had been in the store . Sorry Mr.Manager this town is full of natives move away if you dislike them so much . I would not recommend anyone shopping here unless you enjoy being made fun of the minute you walk out of the store !!! What the manager didn't know was the young staff member that he made the negative comments about and that they enjoyed making derogatory comments about happened to be the son of an ex employee of mine . I know this young man and he has actually helped me before in my store and he has never been disrespectful he is always helpful and ready to do whatever it takes to get any task done. After hearing the comments they made about me and Jason I just had too say something too the manager . I told him you should never talk about others when you don't know the people standing around you !! That what he said was disrespectful and completely uncalled for . The manager statement too me was well I'm the manager he will do what I say and he was disrespectful too me . I told him that he was incorrect that Jason wasn't disrespectful and that what he was doing was very unprofessional . The manager then stated well it is what it is . The man is a bully and has some kind of big mans complex where he feels he is untouchable because he is the manager !!! I would suggest hitting up Home Depot for your hardware needs not only does the store have the issues I stated but the prices are way above many other retailers . read more
