The Grill Department expert helped me select the perfect grill, while the Garden Center and Paint Department teams provided excellent, expert advice to help me finish my projects. I was in your Midland store on Tuesday . I was getting down 2x4x8 treated boards that were on the third shelf up. I'm short so I had to climb to get. A couple employees walked by and said nothing. Over the intercom there were starting the morning meeting and that means no HELP. It took me a while but I did get 25 down. When I get to the cashier Dana she ask me how it was going. I said not good because I had to climb to get down and I'm 70 years old. She said sorry but sais there is the guy to talk to his name is Chad. He came over and she finished me up and ask if I needed some help loading. I was not happy and said no. Chad turn around and walked away and said nothing to me. I would say you need less meeting an more helpful people. I ran a store in Midland for 29 years and My customer service was top notch . I like some of the people in the store but service is only good at the casheries. . read more

ordered counter tops from their mt pleasant home depot. people were nice enough; however, their installers were terrible. large gaps between the stove and counters. within 15 months the corners started to crack. both home depot and the installer pretty much said their one-year warranty was up and offered no assistance. i would find another location for any kitchen or bathroom porjects read more

I ordered carpet for my deck on May 2 said it would arrive May 5 today is May 20. I still haven't seen it so I called this morning. They said they'd refund my order but I'll take three weeks to get my cash back now if you had the three weeks I've waited in the new three weeks now I am still going to wait that makes six weeks without my money mind you it's $120 may not be a lot of money to some people but it's a lot of money to me and it wouldn't of been so bad but when I called to complain and I wanted to explain it, I was hung up on rudest customer service I've ever experienced and I ran the front end of a Walmart for seven years you know I quit going to Menards when I realized they don't do a military discount and I'll cut out Home Depot also they're not the only place in town. I hope everybody else will follow because believe me if you have issues they will not take care of you. read more

I rarely go to the Mt. Pleasant store, I really don't care for it. But with the stay at home order and the CDC recommending everybody wear a cloth mask you would think they would make some sort of effort. Zero employees wearing mask. They will do nothing to try and avoid you, I walked out of the way several times only to have to have them gravitate towards me and continually ask me if I needed help, completely oblivious to any social distancing. When we went to check out it was a complete disaster there was a redheaded kid at the check out trying to help out that could not stop walking up next to me. Other employees were walking directly behind me, once again zero face masks. They really don't get it at that store. read more

I used Home Depot's appliance services, I learned the hard way that Home Depot provides delivery and installation services for free, I know now after experiencing their service professionals coming to my home to install an appliance I ordered. They sent their service professionals to my home, they could not speak good English so we had a hard time communicating with them. After they arrived and brought in the new appliance and started to remove the old one, they ended up breaking the faucet and did not have t h e tools or product to repair the damage, so we asked them to leave because we could not communicate with them. Ended with the appliance sitting in the dining room with no installation and had to have someone else finish the installation and repair the faucet to get the appliance installed.. I do not reccomend any installation from Home Depot the service professionals are not qualified repair experts. I hope this helps others from not making the same mistake I did. Trying to return something to them is impossible make sure you don't lose that receipt they with total stick there nose up to you I remodel four homes last year doing everything from plumbing framing electrical updates total kitchens and bathrooms the year before I did give and the year before that six and have been doing this for over 30 years I don't steal and try to be a man of my word but when I spend over 30 thousand dollars a year at a store I better be able to return a few things that I over buy so I'm not running back and forth to the store especially if I'm out in the country they will not return any thing I have even know they scanned it and know it's from there store it's ridiculous and maybe they should use a little more common sense dealing with the public I'm pissed and I feel like boycotting them totally over it and even opening a store that buys all there stuff that they won't return rude and disrespectful experiences I had and I will make sure I express my feeling about the home Depot to everyone I know and I know lots of people contractors and clients as so friends and family and wouldn't even care if they went out of business like the rest of them did I use to put this store at top ratings now I no longer care for it at all read more

Their products are pretty good, and some of their name brand appliances can be found at good prices during the end of the year clearance sales. However, their installation and follow-up after installation are terrible. We bought a stove and when it was delivered a part was missing. The installation guy gave us the run around about it (blah blah blah). When I called the store about it, they just gave me the manufacturer's customer service phone number and said "call the manufacturer." You know what that is like: waiting for hours listening to a robot saying "please wait for the next available agent." read more

It has a huge selection but is pretty boring. I'm not a huge fan of the store but the selection has to add stars.

We had granite kitchen countertops installed by Home Depot. It's a color we had in a previous home and expected much the same experience as far as color but first time using Home Depot. The Home Depot kitchen specialist recommended that we go to MSI Granite near Detroit to personally pick out the slabs needed. Sounded good to us as when we lived in Seattle, there were many granite slab companies and they would bend over backward to let you inspect the stone to make sure it was what you wanted. This place near Detroit just lifted the slab very high in the air and you had to make the decision from 30 feet or more from the slab. Not really any kind of inspection and certainly not worth the drive there. Long story short, the slabs had gouges in them. The seam which I explicitly said I did not want to go through the sink faucet area was exactly what I DID NOT want. They said it had to be that way. No it doesn't. I've had many homes with granite and it does not have to be that way. Home Depot only gave us a $50 discount. Wow, for something that is going to be in our home for probably 20 years or more that is pathetic. They use a outfit that is clueless when it comes to cutting and preparing the slabs for install. Never, ever again. Spend a little more and be happy with you granite. Please, go somewhere else. read more

Brandon, one of the managers at Home Depot refused to give us a price match on some bamboo flooring. The bad thing too is that the price we were trying to get him to match was from the Home Depot in Midland. His only reason was because he said that it had to be in stock and since we had purchased all they had at the Midland Home Depot it was no longer in stock. This is the most ridiculous thing I think I have ever heard. I would call this false advertising. read more

I bought two toilets and paid for installation. Two days later, I got a phone call from the installer who promised to arrive the next working day. A week later I called the installer who claimed "he forgot" and would I call and remind him in a few days. I called Home Depot back and asked for an new installer. The next day another installer called and promised to be at my home by 9am the next day. At 10am I called him and apparently he forgot as well, and could he come the following week? I declined, called Home Depot for a refund and called Mr. Rooter. They came out and installed the toilets and did an excellent job. read more

I recently purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot and had it delivered by them. The delivery team snapped an electrical wire coming into my home. They knew they snapped it but didn't say anything to the homeowner. Upon my arrival 4 hours later I found my cable box smoking and sparking. If I had not come home at that time my home would've burned down. The surges fried my cable box, 2 TVs and my computer. Neither Home Depot or the delivery company think they should be responsible for replacing these items. Don't use Home Depot!! read more
