Daniel, our waiter, was excellent. He as Very helpful in creating unique Gin drinks. The food was also very good. I enjoyed the shrimp ricotta dish. My wife had the tenderloin. Both dishes were outstanding. We finished our visit with pictures behind the bar where we were able to make our own Gin and Tonic drinks. It was a great time of food and drink. Came at the time a Fado was ending so the restaurant area was really busy so they had us go to the bar area until those tables were cleared. While waiting the bartender suggested we do the tasting menu which consisted of 4 courses with gin cocktails. It was 3 of us, my two friends were that hungry so they were able to share the tasting menu plates. Everything was executed very well, the food, drinks and atmosphere was beautiful. Great restaurant with beautiful ambiance. It feels like you're dining in an art museum. Tons of fun gin drinks with intimate lighting. My boyfriend said the lovers burger may be the best burger he's ever eaten, definitely in the top five of all time. Omg, if you ever tried gin and thought "maybe", this is the place for you. If you like gin, this is heaven. Victor was not a waiter, he was our host; awesome. The Gin Lover's tasting... I like a good 3 martini dinner as much as the next guy but this tasting was more of a complete excursion vs dipping g your toe in... with extras... be sure to have food in you before hand! The gin goes down way way too easy. Superb service, wonderful atmosphere, terrific selection of all gin, and really outstanding house-brand. This is a "must experience" for anyone going to Lisbon. This bar is a bit pricey for Lisbon but is in an absolutely beautiful building. I love the ambiance walking into the space with the exceptionally tall doors and being able to see several stories high. The majority of drinks are obviously gin-based but they do have other options if you're not feeling gin. I had a glass of red wine while my husband had their version of an old fashioned... definitely not the traditional one! Their version had chocolate bitters and vanilla syrup and tasted very dreamy (like ice cream). It went well with the gin. The staff is attentive and quick to make suggestions based on your preference. Although we came for just drinks, it was nice that they gave us some chips for the table. read more

We found this restaurant on travel forums two weeks prior to arriving in Lisbon. We booked our reservation via the TripAdvisor app and instantly received confirmation via the app and email. The restaurant is in a large villa that houses the restaurant as well as several high end clothing stores and art galleries. The villa is stunning and the restaurant occupies the enclosed central courtyard. The bar is in the back and the dining in the center. The selection of gins and gin based drinks is incredible and all that we sampled were delicious!! The food menu is brief and changes with seasons. We ordered the bread basket with the house made olive tapenade, homemade butter and pungent sheep cheese. Bread and condiments were all delicious and fresh. We noticed that adjacent patrons had quite large portion sizes. Our table of three split the order of mushroom risotto and risotto with sea bass and asparagus. We shared three desserts, the chocolate mousse with ginginha, the chef's cookie cake and the pear donuts with sorbet. We had champagne, red port and coffee with desserts. Great customer service, since the minute we walked in the staff was very friendly and helpful. We sat outside next to the bar and the bartender/ mixologist knew how to make every drink delicious. Cool restaurant/bar in Principe Real and just down the street from A Cevicheria. After dinner there we walked down the st to get some drinks and were not disappointed. Cocktails here aren't cheap and pretty much line up with Manhattan prices but were well made and the staff is really nice and friendly. We grabbed a corner couch to enjoy our drinks. Nice atmosphere. Tea Time (12 €) - refreshing and hit the spot. Not sweet and the egg white gave it a nice touch. The Sour (10 €) - was a bit sweeter with a touch of tartness. Vinho Verde (4,50 €) - i enjoyed this glass of green wine altho our one friend wasn't a fan. Canada Gin & Tonic (12 €) - this comes in the giant Gin Lovers glass and i loved it. We stumbled on this restaurant while walking around - the signage for it is fairly low-key, so you could easily miss it. The dining space is incredible - it's an interior courtyard of the Palacao Ribeiro da Cunha, as told to me by the waitress. There are not a lot of tables so you may have to reserve, although for lunch we had no problems getting a table. We had the Caesar Salad which was a most interesting interpretation of this classic - absolutely unique and delicious. The service was on-point - very friendly and prompt. The Palace contains a number of high-end stores as well and a bar that we did not use. I give it five stars for the food, wonderful service and the dining space - worth giving it a try. read more

Delightful little spot, this gin bar's set in a historic, multi-story building that is now filled with hipstery shops. The bar itself is quite small, but it has a seating area in the main middle section of the building, which is just beautiful. There's a large selection of gins, which are paired with the appropriate tonic, and also served with different combinations of herbs and dried fruit. I was quite impressed with the Friday's gin, which came with dehydrated mango, which had only a hint of sweetness, and was refreshing, perfect after a hot walk around town. Also delicious was the white snow gin, which was served with cilantro and dried orange. The gin and tonics are carefully presented and well thought out, really the best I've ever had and I'm quite a gin drinker. On Sundays, they have an intimate little fado concert for 20 euro a ticket from 7 to 8pm, which includes a drink. I wasn't able to stay for it, but it seemed like a fun way to spend an evening. read more

We were visiting Lisboa and came in for drinks after eating at Atahlo real (delicious), Gin lovers is in the same place at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Th restaurant is located in an old palace that was then an embassy and now the restaurant with a variety of small shops. The restaurant is gorgeous with a great moorish influence. I'll start by saying the bartenders know how to make some serious gin and tonics. Be warned they are highly addictive. We started with the shrimp with garlic and the croquettes. Both were outstanding. Next was the burger. When the waiter said it was the best of course I didn't believe him. I was so wrong. Everything was in perfect proportion and cooked exactly medium rare as requested. They even make their own buns! Very fair prices for the quality of the food. There are an abundance of fancier places in lisbon but none better. If I didn't live half a world away I would be a regular. read more

Really interesting place to dine. Love the architecture! The staff was super friendly and our poor waiter Richard (sp) was in his first week. We have him a big challenge when we put three tables together for a party of 13. This was a bit much for the kitchen to handle but he did his best to take care of everyone. The food was slow coming out (party size) but was delicious and the gin was quite good. I'd recommend coming here in groups of 2 or 4 for the best experience. Wow, what a great place! My husband and I went there for dessert and drinks and were blown away. The place is great to look at and be in. Beautiful high ceilings, great architectural features but modern in a very respectful way. The music was great, I actually made note of the playlist because it was so good. The desserts were delish! I went with the waiters recommendation and was not disappointed. My husband got the chocolate cake and it was fantastic too. Our Gin drinks were made so well. I had the gin Old fashioned and my husband had the gin blackberry cocktail sorry I can't remember the name but it was so good I got one for my second drink. We asked the bartender (who was super knowledgable and attentive) to make us his own concoction for a second drink, and we were not disappointed. After a brief talk to the bartender I comfortably asked him to make whatever he wanted for my wife and myself. He made two awesome GTs. One with Tanqueray Rangpur, ginger and lime. Fresh and appropriate. The other with Adamus, Cardamom and freaking grapes. The latter blew my mind. Well done, Sir Mixologist. This is our second NYT-reviewed gin bar (first was Gintoneria in San Sebastián). Did not disappoint! EXTENSIVE gin cocktail list and beautiful back bar filled with bottles from around Europe. It took half an hour for food to arrive at lunch, and the waiters tried to offer us pricey snacks while waiting, without revealing there would be a charge - an unfortunate Lisbon restaurant scam that we already knew.
