The families and staff are extremely supportive, warm and genuinely friendly. I love the enrichment offered to Elementary students with Technology, Spanish, Art, Music, PE, Religion, Library and the Accelerated Learning Program as additions to the regular school day for students prior to Middle School. There are many wonderful opportunities for enrichment after school as well such as Drama Club, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, Mad Science and several team sport choices. The small community helps your child achieve mastery quickly and feel confident in their environment. The school truly has the recipe for emotional and academic success for children. I recently moved my son out of the 2 year old class and into a new school. We were not happy with…read morethis school. The teachers were wonderful with him. Especially Mrs. Shade in the early morning. But the school felt muggy and musky smell like mildew frequently. The fees were high, mostly because of how they were all seperate and school was always closing which added additional fees. When school was released for the aftercare.. About 2-5.. I would pick up my son in a small room with a group of all ages and a very young person whom I did not know as the adult. This young person I think is a son of a teacher? Not sure. Always someone different. I felt uncomfortable with this mostly because my son was 2 and id prefer to keep the groups desperate by ages similar to one another.

My son has been going to the Kumon Center in Dunedin for 3 years now and is about to start 3rd…read moregrade in a private school. He is excelling in not only reading and math in school but in all the subjects. His teacher for the past two years has said he is by far the best student she has. A few notable differences his teacher notices of him vs some of the other kids who do not attend Kumon is that he reads all the instructions carefully BEFORE starting the work. Another difference is he is very quick in finishing the work/test. He is consistently one of the first to hand in his work. Not only is he quick but he's also accurate. The third is his confidence. He always participates in class discussions, willing to help his fellow classmates when they are struggling and the first to raise his hand. Just like most kids, he does complain doing the work however during his calm moments he does admit school work is easier for him than many of his peers. I hear this from his classmates parents too. They say their kids struggle with the homework and it takes them close to 30 min to complete it every night. My son in comparison completes the work in 10 min. There are many Kumon centers around and there maybe one closer than the Dunedin center to you. However not all centers are created equally. My husband and I interviewed 5 centers. Yes Interviewed. At first glance they all do seem to be the same however the biggest and most important reason we choose the Dunedin center is because Ms. Nayana Wable owns and teaches at the center. The other 4 locations we looked at the owner employed teachers but was not at the center day to day. Nayana owns the center and teaches there. Yes she has helpers but she is involved with every child. She knows the child's academic abilities, she knows each child's name and most importantly she treats each child with respect. She is tough but in a very gentle and loving way. If you are looking for a solution to help your child grow academically Kumon of Dunedin run by Nayana Wable is the center for you. One last thing. As a parent, you do need to trust the system and Ms. Nayana's teaching methods. It might seem repetitive and you may ask yourself why is my kid doing the same books over and over again. It's because Ms. Nayana teaches in a wholistic way. The child may know how to add, subtract, multiply but his/her handwriting still needs work or can't recollect the answers quickly. Speed and accuracy is very important to succeed as the child goes through the process. Same goes for reading. They may know the words and can read the sentences or paragraph, but can they read it fluidly and with ease, is the handwriting legible and neat. This wholistic approach is why I love Ms. Nayana's approach to teaching. Please do give it a try. You won't regret it. It's the greatest gift you can give to your child. They may not be happy with you now but trust me when I say they will thank you when they get into Highschool.

Some were potty trained, others were not. He fit right in and the teachers were wonderful with helping him learn!! They have these cute kiddy size potties that are perfect for toddlers! The teachers are all well versed and wonderful. I remember asking him who his friends were after he had been attending regularly for two weeks. He told me his teacher, Ms. Pamela, was his best friend. I thought that was the cutest and majorly reassuring as a mother to hear! Kids enter into a locked area, and have a nice routine. Parents are given a daily journal explaining what their child did all day, how well they ate their snacks and lunch, when and how long they napped, when and if they used the potty (with or without an accident) and then additional comments. Each child is celebrated on their birthday. The school is creative and has a nice play ground. The school is organized, clean, friendly and safe. The hours start at 6:30 AM and end at 5:30 PM. Their availability worked wonders for my work schedule. The best part is my son has never been happier!! Every time we drive by the school during off hours, he wants to return. He is well adjusted, learning a lot, and making wonderful friends. We're so thankful for Little Lambs Christian Preschool! I highly recommend them with all my heart!

If you are looking for pre-K, this school is fine. The elementary and recent middle school…read morehowever, are poorly organized and lacking in both scope and support. The staff consists of mostly Mothers of the children that attend the school and lacks professionalism. For the $9100k price tag, my children were getting a very basic and sub par education. They are now having to work hard to catch up to their appropriate grade levels. You do not get what you pay for at this school and the parents are left with a false sense of security.
