Force-fed our infant. County cited serious safety violations. Avoid. Not even worth a star

He was picked up today from school and his face was swollen and had mosquito bites everywhere . When I called to let the owner know she becomes very argumentative instead of trying to resolve the problem. I said if there able to put bug repellent if I provide it and they said no but I can put it on before I bring him . Just last week there was an incident were he hit a pole while he was outside and had a huge gash on his forehead which is now a permanent scar . They are very understaffed many times I picked him up and his diaper would be clearly saggy. The staff here is very unfriendly and I would not recommend to anyone .

The first day was fine, but we were really left to self check-in. The experience could have been much improved had we been greeted and shown where to go, what to do, introduced to the office staff, and had the office review the policies and answer our questions. About a month in, I wanted to look up the new rates come summer when our son was to move in to the 1 year class. I logged into my app and reviewed the only document in my portal. The first line was about the rate for the infant class and how formula was included. I was confused as I had been supplying formula for my infant for over a month. I went to the office to ask about this. I was met with 3 office ladies. The very first question they asked was "where did you get that document?" I stated how it was in my portal in the app. They admitted it was an incorrect form. But instead of apologizing for providing me incorrect info, I was left feeling like the bad guy. I was met with a defensive tone by the staff. The director herself sat at the computer in the back of the office and only half way through said "I'm the director". I had never met or been introduced to her prior. What ensued was a very confusing conversation about what was or wasn't included in tuition and what or wasn't considered a breakfast for my infant. I left more confused than ever. I couldn't get a straight answer. It required additional conversations and emails to clarify. Over the next few months we had a few other instances where the school was difficult to work with. One being their sick policy. I am completely understanding of wanting to keep children safe. They have on their policy that if a child is sick they require them to go to the doctor and provide a note to the office. But then they also have it in their policy they can override any doctors note. My child got sick 4 times in 2 months in their care. (He had never been sick the 7 months before starting at their facility). Most times with ear infections. But my husband and I had to take off 10 days over 1.5 months to stay home with him. If they called you to pick up a sick kid it was a 30 min clock or it was $2 per min. (What I was told by Carol on phone even though the literature says $1 per min). No leniency. My husband had to leave an entire class of seniors taking final exams to come pick up our infant who was fine the rest of the day at home. Our nurse tried to assist us with faxing a doctors note. She was also met with difficulty communicating with them. I also asked to use our 1/2 week rate but was told we could only use it on a week our son was gone 1/2 week. Which doesn't make sense becuase you have to prepay the week so there is no way to know if you child would be sick during the week. But it was clearly noted as a vacation/ sick rate and nothing in their policy started I had a limitation on when to use it. My request to use it was denied and I had to continue to request to finally be credited my 1/2 week. Again, difficult to work with and communicate with. The school is clean. It's a nice place for children. We loved Ms Rita and Olivia. But the office staff is difficult to work with. They were not kind to my questions even when I expressed confusion and misinformation on their policies. When I asked more clarifying questions we were kicked out with 2 weeks notice. Imagine waiting 8 months to attend a school only to be kicked out for having questions. St Pete is severely lacking childcare and daycares. The private daycares can do as they please and write whatever policies they want as they have a waiting list of people to come in. I emailed the business owner directly prior to posting my review.

They have family movie nights where they play popular movies on a big screen under the stars and provide popcorn and drinks (free). They have plays that the kids watch during school hours. They have music classes, chapel, garden walks, magicians... I don't think there's anything this school doesn't have. Parents provide snacks for the class - which is a plus if you want to control the amount of junk your child eats. They have grandparents day celebrations, breakfast with daddy for father's day and a mother's day concert. There is always something going on here making this place so much more than a daycare but rather a community. While it is Christian based it is not overly pushy or in your face. None of the events I have attended have referenced faith. While there I was on the parent's advisory counsel which allows parents to be in the "know" and have their concerns voiced... and the Director. Mr. Cote is a model director. Always in the classrooms, on the playground, that man is NOT afraid of getting his hands dirty for his school. I had not 1 complaint. This is unlike any daycare I've ever experiences and if you have an opportunity to join - MAKE IT HAPPEN. My child has learned so much and I feel so lucky to be a PCCS parent.

Their communication, kindness, and genuine love for children was evident from the start. As she progressed through the 18 month to 24 month classes, each teacher ( Ms Savannah , Ms. Ashleigh, Ms. Cheryl, Ms. Olivia) treated her as if she was their own child. Ms. Shelia and Ms. Bri, whom oversee the daycare and programs, are truly some of the most authentic and kindest souls I've ever encountered. They are all one big family and the smiles they bring to my daughter's face is something I will be forever grateful for. My toddler loves going to school and has brought home so many creative and special art projects and meaningful gifts for momma and daddy on certain holidays . They bring in Santa / the Easter bunny , and provide so many unique and valuable experiences as well as life lessons to all of the kids throughout the different age groups and programs. I cannot say enough about St pete prep and the staff that make this place as special as it is.

Id give a ZERO if i could! riting this in hope that it will save the next parent the stress in which it has caused me. I recently enrolled my daughter into Daycare at St Pete Prep Learning Center in St. Petetsburg. The first day, as the front office assistant walked my daughter & i to her class, i witnessed someone else's child (approx. 3 y/o girl) sitting on the bathroom with a bare bottom & her clothes scattered on the floor. I thought it to be a tad odd but didn't say anything. I sat down with my daughter & her class so she could feel comfortable before i left. After about 15-20 minutes or so she was comfortable and i left. Welll, as i walked out i couldn't help but notice the little girl was STILL sitting on her bare bottom on the bathroom floor. Again, it was my daughters first day, i didnt want to be "that parent", the annoying one that comments on everything. So i didn't Say anything. The next day when i walked into the classroom to pick my daughter up, she was in the corner crying by herself with snot all over her face. Which tells me she had been crying for a bit. I ask the teacher what's wrong, i didn't get a straight answer. I ask again & im told she had a few diarrhea diapers & as a result had diaper rash. She stated she applied Vaseline. So i immediately put my daughter on the changing table to see because shes never reacted that way. The rash was bad enough that someone should've called me. & not just because of how the rash looked but because of how my child was acting. In addition, i should've received a call due to the diarrhea they claimed She had. She clearly was in alot of pain & didn't want to sit down because of it let alone have a diaper on. But yet when i walked in, she was sitting. No one thought to even hold my daughter, console her, let her know its going to be okay. Or thought to call me? They should've called me. Who knows how long my baby had to sit on pain. Or continue to ge her butt wiped even though she's in pain to the point of tears! That night she couldn't even wear a diaper to bed, she literally cried herself to sleep with no diaper. And she slept on a towel. I understand kids get diaper rash & it can get severe, that's overstood. My problem is i wasnt notified. I don't understand how they can be in business. How could i possibly experience this much nonesense & licensing violations in just TWO DAYS? Long story short, i reported the daycare to daycare licensing & they will be investigated. But more so, i wish i knew the mother of the little girl that was sitting on the floor. In addition, i wrote a review on the daycare's Facebook page and in response they stated "i would definitely question this persons credibility. Follow this link & Check out her arrest record. REALLY?? What kind of parent is this?" & then posted a link to a records site showing my arrest for possession of marijuana. Then hours later deactivated the page, removed the reviews option & reactivated. If that doesnt speak volumes i don't know what does. Thank you for hearing me out.
