On the last night of my trip to Kingston, I was a little tired and decided to order pizza in. I initially ordered from Pizza Pizza and they called to say they didn't have the gluten-free chicken bites, which has happened the last three orders, so I'm done with them. But my point is, I'm so glad that happened. The pizza at this place is phenomenal. Really good gluten-free crust, but they do not have any GF bread or chicken. I ordered italian sausage, ham, onions and extra cheese. Finally! A pizza place that actually puts on extra cheese when you order it! I was very impressed. This pizza was delicious! The delivery guy even showed up in about half the time they quoted for delivery, which had been 45 minutes, and they brought it to my 2nd floor hotel door. It was boiling hot outside too, so I was very impressed with the service. I ordered a side salad with extra ranch too. It was a HUGE salad. Great veggies, very fresh and the ranch was delicious too. I even got full on the pizza and took the salad home. It was fresh the next day after the trip back home. I really wish this pizza place was in our hometown. One of the best GF pizza's I've ever had. There is a picture too that shows this restaurant will not cheat you on the extra cheese! I'm returning in October and will definitely order from Gino's again. read more

Locally-owned, take-out and delivery joint. Not gourmet by any stretch, but it's affordable, and better than most similarly-priced chains. The first time I checked out Gino's, I was walking by and starving, so I grabbed a single slice, which was impressively good, and I noticed that they had a FREAKING 22" PIZZA on the menu. Obviously,I needed to have one. I called up the restaurant, and placed my order - a half Hawaiian, half pepperoni and bacon 22" pizza, and a poutine...because two of us obviously needed more than just pizza. I was told 20 minutes, and we walked down to the Princess St. location. Right on time, our pizza was done. The box was gigantic, and so was the poutine. Once home, we realized we clearly didn't need the poutine, but it was piping hot and of the mozzarella variety - not authentic cheese curds, but a tasty enough substitute. It would have been more than enough to feed two people by itself. The pizza though. Wow. Gigantic and delicious. Homemade sauce, lots of cheese, and a dough knot in the middle, everything was just right. The bacon was also real, sliced bacon instead of bacon crumbles, which was nice. Two pieces each was more than enough, and the rest reheated quite well - the crust was still soft and edible the next day. Would totally order here again, but maybe in a smaller quantity. read more

Bought from here for 14 years and not a single bad experience. Every ingredient is delicious and they provide good service. They're cheese is the best I've ever had on a pizza and they just have all around good ingredients. It's easy to just go in and grab a slice as I often do, but when you get it fresh out of the oven it's the best you can get. They use a lot of cheese which I'm a big fan of. Lack of service. Decline in quality. And last straw - they wouldn't accept coupon. Called to follow up why and hung up on a few times. Asked to speak to manager or owner and heard the person say they didn't want to talk to me. Called again and left my number and owner finally called and was abrupt. I just received ,the worst, food from Ginos that I've ever gotten anywhere. The driver obviously dropped our pizza at some point, as it was smushed up on the one side of the box. I mean, it was obviously dropped. I had ordered garlic bread with cheese and bacon , and the bacon was not cooked. The bacon looked as though it hadn't even been warmed up, let alone cooked! I've been ordering from Gino's since the door opeded. It was always great pizza. When the son took over there was some bumps in getting orders correct. So I come home from work starving and ordered fish and chips with 2 extra fish. Asked for extra tarter sauce because they think 2 tiny little packages is enough and a 2 litre of Pepsi. Delivery comes with no Pepsi. The delivery girls says she will go to circle k and get me one. I told her no because they don't refrigerate the 2 litre bottles. She leaves to get the pop and I go inside to start eating and not one package of tarter sauce even though I asked for extra. I spend average $75-100 a week there to get warm pop brought back to me and no tarter sauce and no compensation for the screw just sorry. Idiots running this show. I really think they could screw up the Lord's prayer. Time to find a new pizza place!!! read more

I've lived here for twelve years.. and only just found this place! :( It is so good, the cheese.. so much yummy cheese. The sauce is homemade.. NOT canned crap. The toppings are huge... the pepperoni slices are as big as your face! They don't skimp on anything! And the prices are unbelievable.. but true! You can get a GIANT slice of delicious pizza and a pop for under FIVE bucks. Sooooooo much awesome. I'm going for the poutine next. ;3 Please stay open forever, if not forever, the rest of my life.. Food is great but poor service. The JustEat app defaults a driver tip of 10% on top of the delivery charge. The female delivery person sarcastically said thanks for the tip to my husband which made him feel bad. He wasn't the one to order it and perhaps the app needs to default a higher amount (however, on something that is optional, I might add). Also they forgot the dipping sauces we paid for. read more

I really like their pizza and spaghetti. I tried pizza from some other local joints but Gino's has been my fave so far. The crust is crispy on the bottom and pillowy on top. They load the pizza up with lots of cheese and toppings! The people that work there are nice too! read more

Decided to check it out and get some of their 'giant' slices to take home. Very bad idea in the end. We were told they had none of the usual options for the giant slices and the others would be a little more expensive than the sign. We figured that was alright. Trying to order pizza slices for 4 people and the guy was barely paying attention, had to repeat ourselves over and over before we finally got the slices. On a plate instead of the take out box we had asked for. THEN had to work to get the guys attention back to get him to put it in a box! It would have been cheaper to just order a full pizza AND we would have gotten more pizza then four slices for over 25$! It wasn't until we get home and really look that we realized the slices weren't 'giant' at all. One was slightly bigger then the others but three were just normal slices and it wasn't even all that good. Kids wouldn't eat it, one ended up on the toilet for hours and the dog wouldn't touch it. I'm pretty sure the 'sausages' were fried hot dogs. Best avoid this place and hit up the other pizza joint around the corner. read more

I sent my housemate to Ginos on Division(which is 2 blocks away) for a medium pizza with pepperoni and bacon. He returned with the pizza and it was half cooked. The crust was doughy, the cheese was runny and the whole thing was soggy. We also found some corn on it. I phoned to complain and the employee, who seemed irritated, said "send him down, I'll make another." There was snow and it was cold out so my housemate didnt want to walk back there. I phoned back to ask them to deliver and the employee pretended he couldn't hear me. So, here is the shitty review I screamed I would provide. read more

ordered online. delivery guy went to the wrong address then called me and said the door was locked... I said its a hotel.... just walk in.... this went on for a while. The only option online to build your own pizza is to choose a two topping pizza and then add additional toppings. The pizza came with only the additional toppings... not the actual two that are were supposed to be on the two topping pizza! Who eats pizza without pepperoni??? The at-best mediocre pizza is unfortunately not made up for by the unfriendly and unaccommodating staff. The pizza that arrived at my door was not what was ordered, and when calling to rectify the issue I was hung up on. Given the other reviews it seems I'm not the only one whose had this experience. If you're set on ordering pizza, I definitely recommend ordering from Paradiso instead, whose food is MUCH better, and much more reasonably priced, I might add, not to mention a more enthusiastic and personable staff. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere. Alternatively, get a Lunchables Pizza Kit at Metro and ask the cashier to stamp on your foot and insult your mother-it's effectively the same experience. read more

Then after they hang up on you, you go back down there to talk to the manager, and they call the cops to escort you out. This place is a joke. This actually happened to my friend tonight. I have to say, I have experienced better. WAY better. WAY, WAY better. I placed a $30 order with the company through Just Eat.ca. I got a call approximately 15min later to say the company was offline due to demand, and Just Eat would like to refund my order. I explained, I am not holding Just Eat.ca responsible, however I am also feeling somewhat confused by Ginos. Having worked in restaurants, if you get "one last order" when demand is ramping up, you FULFILL that order, and THEN cancel additional business. Instead they cancelled everything with no reason other than "we're busy". Cancelling already agreed upon business is a wonderful way to court negative opinions, because you, as a restaurant, cannot fulfill one additional order. This makes the organization seem Mickey Mouse at best -- and quite frankly, Gino's has earned that reputation. When you place an accepted order, unfortunately you cannot believe it, because, perhaps they are too busy. Or they just don't want business. End result? Don't order from these amateurs, as they cannot guarantee you will receive your order, unless they "feel" like it. read more

I've had decent slices there in the past however a few days ago I went to order a slice around 8:30 PM. The staff member pulled a cold slice from a pizza from underneath a wooden shelf and tossed it in the oven. At this point I was concerned. I watched after 30 seconds he reached his hand in a felt the crust to see if it was warm, and then left it in for another minute. The pizza looked old and dry. I considered walking out.. but didn't and left with the slice. Once biting in, it was cold and dry. I ended up taking a few bites and throwing it away. Now in fairness, it was 8:30 PM, but a pizza shop should never service old dry cold pizza. read more

Been ordering from ginos for 20 years now. Used to live right around the corner from them. Now however, i'm not ordering from them aymore. Their pizza and food used to be high quality, you pay the extra for that quality.. but now.. They just lost a long standing customer. I ordered a pizza the other night with bacon, pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers. There were 2 small pieces of bacon on the whole pizza. They charged me extra for the pepperoni because their *STOCK* was low. They put 2 pieces of pepperoni under the cheese. Yes i checked after. There were 3 small pieces of green pepper on the whole thing, and they didn't even have any sausage on it at all. The cheese was watered down, even cold it couldn't retain its shape/texture. I've never seen them so stingy with toppings, and the quality of the cheese was disgusting. It was more like oven-roasted yogurt. Worst pizza i had ever seen. Couldn't even finish one slice. When i threw it out, the 3 racoons that inhabit the area wouldn't even touch it. And they eat just about anything. read more
