It wasn't super crowded but there were several groups of friends and family around who looked like regulars, so we were anticipating a good meal. The setup was neat, with the bbq grill in the center of the table. Our server brought over the proteins, we chose steak & chicken, and some toppings to add. We also tried some martinis and egg roll appetizers. The cooking process was fun, but quick! Pay attention to not burn your food. Everything had a subtle, but tasty seasoning and the veggie toppings were nice and crisp. Overall this was a really nice, interactive experience. Arrived around 11 am and were able to be seated immediately. All the food was full of flavor and seasoned well. The meat is easy to cook on the grill top. It does not take too long to cook since it is thinly sliced. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Stopped by for a quick lunch. Saw Korean BBQ and was intrigued. The Bugolgi was good, not to sweet. Kimchi had a slight kicked but definitely not homemade. Pickled radishes were excellent! Nice flavor and depth. Teriyaki shrimp was very good, some teriyaki is too sweet but this was just right. Stir fry veggies were crisp and well cooked, great flavor. Side salad was typical ginger dressing, and just OK. Miso soup was bland and needed salt. Would have given 4 stars but service was excellent and staff was friendly. As a first trip to Ginza and my daughter's first adventure with Korean food, she ordered conservatively, but later said that she wanted to return to sample the entire menu. Very dark inside and not busy at all so it was a weird vibe. Our server was super nice and attentive but the food was average. We split a salmon roll which was the best part of the meal. Then my wife got chicken teriyaki and I had the bul-go-gi. Meals started off with a soup, salad, and a Korean side dishes. The miso soup had no flavor or taste so neither of us ate much of it. The sides were flavorful but not great. I liked her teriyaki chicken better than the bul-go-gi but neither one were particularly great. We use to go to Ginza almost weekly many years ago so tonight had a very nostalgic feel to it! Boy, have I missed this place !! The fried rice is definitely one of the best in town, in my opinion. Instead of my usual order, sushi , I decided to get the shrimp bento box! So glad I went with something different tonight . From the shrimp, veggies , gyoza , edamame, California sushi roll , etc every item was all so fresh and amazing! I'm not a fan of the salad bc I don't like the dressing but other than that so so so good!! Ordered takeout from here the other night. Wasn't impressed at all. I got the super crunch roll, two of them. There wasn't any crunch whatsoever and the pieces were cut unevenly. We had both a variety of sushi and got a Korean BBQ entree to get the experience. I would have ti say that the waitress was very attentive. She made sure my water was always full and made sure to take any dishes we weren't using. The food took awhile to get out but that was fine. Our sushi was amazing. We also ordered a few drinks and they were great as well. We definitely recommend this place for sushi. The entree was alright.The waitress got out order wrong but she fixed it in the end with the prices so that was very nice of her. The Korean BBQ was just alright. Hubby and I went to ginza last night. It was good, not our first time. We've been to other Korean restaurants and I must say ginza needs to step it up. First the menu is rather expensive. Our meal was #211 it was $36.95 meal for two. As I said it was good but servings are extremely small. We had ribeye and chicken on the bbq grill. Unlike every Korean restaurant we've been too, they give you zero vegetables to cook on the grills. Just meat, and 3 side dishes of cabbage, bean sprouts and radish. Common ginza step it up with your serving sizes and offer vegetables like broccoli, carrots, zucchini or even onions. Please increase your serving sizes. They are ridiculously small. read more

We opted to sit on the bbq side and cook our food at the table. Drinks: Absolute Stress - fruity and refreshing. This has vodka, peach schnapps, and juices. Geisha- this was tasty, but much less fruity due to the sake. This drink has vodka, sake, pineapple and orange juice. Starters: Foxy lady roll - this one was delicious Spicy scallop roll - it could have used a bit more spice but was otherwise okay We split the following for the main meal and cooked them at our table: Rib eye Chicken Shrimp Overall, cooking on the grill at the table was a nice experience. The restaurant was clean and the staff was super accommodating. I do wish they brought out more vegetables to be grilled with the meat, but the meat itself was a generous serving. As a Korean and someone from the coast, I can say that Ginza is the best Korean food you're going to get in the south. The service may be bad according to other reviews (I thought it was fine, had no issues), but their kimchi stew was better than any restaurant kimchi stew in America. I was very disappointed in this place. I made reservations last Thursday for Friday night at 7 and specifically requested a bbq table. We arrived on time for our reservation and were told that a table wasn't available at that time and we would have to wait. They also said they wouldn't be able to tell us how long the wait would be and that we could go over to the bar. We did and waited 20 minutes on a bartender-less bar. I have been to Ginza countless times for sushi over the last eight years. It's the highest quality sushi in Birmingham. I have tried nearly every roll, and each one has been even better than the last. Don makes works of art with his sushi, even turning my roll into a dragon one time!
