Only reviewing for cigars. I don't smoke anything else so cannot comment on the quality of pipes, papers and other smoking paraphernalia. It all looks good to me. But I have no idea what I'm looking at. I was going fishing and yelped this place. I know this is a smoke shop, but every now and then these shops will have a fairly good cigar collection. I enjoy finding those cigar diamonds in the rough. I especially enjoy buying from shops that have boutique cigars. I buy from the big producers as well and normally you get consistency from them their boutique cigars generally lack. But the thing about cigars for me is the discovery of something new. To be fair this shop does carry some brand names, but that was not what I was shopping for. So I gave this place a shot and I am going to admit that they definitely have an artist putting these smokes together. I mean the wrapper designs are absolutely beautiful. I was blown away by how well they were done. The problem is that the looks are the only thing good about these smokes. It's like getting a chocolate candy and it looks so good, but when you actually bite into it, the filling is they gross coconut cream stuff. Everything I dislike about a cigar was gloriously packed into these cigars. I bought 5 of them. 2 that they packaged as newspaper wrapped (actually wrapped in newspaper), one with w yin/yang symbol on it and 2 other maduro wrapped sticks. Number 1- no draw at all. I was working like hell to get a good puff off these. 2 of them very loose packed and 2 were super tight. Number 2- uneven burn. These burned awful. The yin/yang symbol cigar was super loose pack and burned so uneven. No saving it. Had to toss it out after 10 minutes of fighting with it. I had one of the five not burn uneven. Number 3- not staying lit. This is mostly related to number 1 & 2, but I could not keep any of these 5 lit. Constant attention with the lighter. Super aggravating. Number 4- prob the most important, taste. Forget about it. You can probably already guess that these were awful. Si the first one I tried to smoke (yin/yang symbol) I threw out after like 10 min. No draw, awkward burn and the taste was awful. The second was the newspaper wrapped cigar. Taste was equal to whatever 2 buck cigar you have ever smoked. I gave this one about 20 min before throwing it out. The two that were maduro wrapper were corona cigars. One of them actually burned well. Both tasted like any other 5 buck cigar you have had. The final newspaper wrapped cigar I threw out without even lighting it up. Number 5 - cost. These sticks are bout 6 bucks a pop. Not even remotely worth 6 a pop. They are really awful. It's sad honestly because I think the shop owner probably is trying to provide a good product. I mean they look amazing. They are just not good cigars for doing what cigars are supposed to be doing, being smoked. I was out fishing while burning through these things and while I was smoking these I was trying to decide if I should pack up my gear and run to the conscience store to buy a handful of swisher sweets and just dump these on the trash.
