Terrible clinic -- avoid if you care about your loved ones…read more Our experience here during a cancer crisis was beyond frustrating. Dr. Kim, the oncologist, showed zero compassion -- he rolled his eyes when we told him this was our first referral after the diagnosis and offered no helpful information beyond saying surgery was urgent. He claimed he submitted a referral, but a week later we learned it hadn't been sent. No apology -- just a late submission to a surgeon who doesn't even accept new patients. We found a qualified surgeon ourselves and requested a new referral, only to be stonewalled by the authorizations department with excuses like "it'll take 7 days," blaming insurance (which confirmed approvals take minutes). No call back from the doctor. Phones go unanswered. Office feels chaotic and unprofessional. In a time when every day matters, they cost us nearly two weeks. Stay away from this clinic -- especially if time, care, and communication matter.

I never wanted to write this. But as someone who has sworn an oath in my federal role and is bound…read moreby strict standards of compliance and integrity, I have a legal and moral obligation to speak up. The Oncology Institute (TOI) failed my family and that's putting it mildly. A suspicious mass identified earlier this year was met with same day canceled appointments, delayed referrals, and no follow ups.. I not only became a full time caregiver for my loved one, I was now forced to take over TOI's administrative responsibilities: making calls, chasing authorizations, tracking down labs, coordinating between facilities. That is not the job of a family member. That's the clinic's job, and they failed. Because of this negligence, the cancer has spread and terminal. The fallout wasn't just emotional. I've lost income and have had to decline federal job assignments to manage the mess they created. While TOI hides behind California's malpractice caps and legal protections, this is no longer just a state issue. The failures here rise to a level that demands federal oversight. Formal complaints will be filed. I refuse to stay silent while others risk going through the same. I will pursue every legal remedy available to ensure this organization is held financially and ethically accountable for the harm it caused.

The office appeared dirty on the two trip I made (had been going there for a decade) and the new Dr., Dr. W....and the nurses left much to be desired.i I see the other reviews are older and 5 stars. I would have agreed with that.

Very very good experience - but expect it to take awhile. Saw a Dr. Tran. Here is how it went…read more.. Was promised a "New Patient" package would be sent and to have it filled out completely and bring it with me. It never arrived. I had the common sense to show up 30 minutes early because of that. I was handed paper copies of forms (yes, from back in the stone age) and I got to work. It was largely written by lawyers. **KUDOS! ** I was taken on time for my appointment. ** Many of the forms requested the same information, I left it blank. When the Medical Assistance asked about it, I said they could take it from the other sheet. She understood. Spent a LONG time with the NP who took a very thorough medical history. I was very pleased. Eventually, Dr. Tran arrived...some reviewers on other sites slam this woman...I will not. She was very courteous and congenial, she answered all my questions very completely and showed plenty of care. She did say I did not need to go into much detail when answering because she read my paperwork so I could get straight to the point. She was VERY polite and professional, her tone was one of helpful, not "you are boring me" like some reviewers write. To prove her point, later in our interaction, she dropped a couple facts that were in my paperwork that I had not told her directly. This woman appears to be a great doctor, organized, friendly, smart. I'd trust her with my life at this point. Oh wait, that is kinda why were are here. To get five stars: Automate the intake process with a tablet or send me to a website before I come in. Although I was there a LONG time, the time was always productive, I was not sitting alone. So, this place is well run. They have a Dr there who I did not meet, but he has been there 50 years!!! No wonder they run smoothly, lots of wisdom floating in that Dr head

I believe the doctors there are OK, but the rest of the staff, and the incredibly long waiting in the front and back rooms both are unacceptable. I have showed up on time at each of my appointments, and have yet to be able to actually talk to the doctor before over 2 hours have gone by. Why bother to give me an 11:AM appointment when I don't see the doctor until almost 2:PM? I have never waited to see a doctor for that long in my entire life! The staff at the front desk are not the friendliest or most professional I've ever experienced either. They won't give you any information unless you, the patient makes it a point to drag it out of them. They take their sweet time getting authorization from my Insurance. I could end up dead before I finally get authorization for radiation therapy, or even obtaining an authorization for the first confirence with the radiologist. I must say, judging by the first two visits I've had with this medical business establishment, I am not impressed.

That doctor office called me on a Friday at 5pm to say they have yet to receive any of my records from oncology. On Monday I called to speak to medical records. They say they have no records of me even requesting my medical records to be sent. I told them I have a visit in the next two hours and to make sure my records are sent. This office is such a joke. On another note, I called two weeks ago to update the office with a new medical status as I am pregnant now. I asked if I need to run additional tests before my visit. The person on the phone said they will update my oncologist with my status and will give me a call back. It's been two weeks and nothing. I'm looking for a new oncology office. This office has been unprofessional since the beginning. Never returning calls or promises they make. Lose paperwork and is such a headache to get them to even send any of my paperwork to other doctors.
